Congrats! As a visitor who had flown in from a much colder place (sub zero temperature to be exact) just a few days before the race, the humidity and the 4:30 am flag-off time were quite a challenge. Granted I never intended to run any PB, but even so, I had a hard time finishing the race. But I am glad I did. As painful as the experience was, it was still very good training. I just wish they would consider switching back to the 6pm start time like they did back in 2019. Then I would return in a heartbeat.
congrats on finishing! I can imagine that must've been real painful to run in this weather if you're not already used to it. I believe they moved the starting time earlier for the concern of health and safety (heat strokes and stuff) but yes I also find it quite difficult to wake up that early for a marathon
Super humble and honest. This was my first marathon ever and its great to see what it's like near the front :P Thanks for posting a video, you're fast af.
Good job! This was my first marathon. It was a great experience, a great atmosphere, and I'm still feeling it in my muscles! Looking forward to improving my time next year!
SCSM 2023 is my very first full marathon and I also feel the same way when the roads were split between 21k and 42k runners because I used to run 21k a lot before my first 42k. My experience is very humbling as well especially when I crossed the finish line. I still remember that I cried after receiving the medal because I cannot believed I made it.
Hi I am going to Singapore next week and it's my 5th marathon this year but first running experience in Singapore. If it's expected to be rainy and if it starts at dark outside, shouldn't I bring my running goggle? When I ran my previous races, it was ranged between 12 to 19 celcius degree with minor humidity at 3:28:00 - would I expect to slow down than usual due to heat and humidity? Would love to seek your advice!
it's mostly something you would test out in training leading up to the actual race day and it's a little different for each individual. For me I would usually take 1 gel before the race start, then take one every 25-30mins.

Hi, sorry for the random question. Is there any toilet in singapore marathon? (During the race), or they just provide water station? Thanks.
@@sheilaop7018 there are some portable toilets around the course
Classic YJ eat too many gels haahaha
How do we know when to take the gels?

Mind if I ask what shoes were you using?
The puma deviate nitro elite, i’ve been using them for all my races (including triathlons) this year
