Hi do you train both low and high cadence for hill repeats?
Hi! Normally i would go slightly high cadence for ascends by only changing the back gears. But stay seated on the saddle. I don’t really train low cadence

SCSM 2023 is my very first full marathon and I also feel the same way when the roads were split between 21k and 42k runners because I used to run 21k a lot before my first 42k. My experience is very humbling as well especially when I crossed the finish line. I still remember that I cried after receiving the medal because I cannot believed I made it.

How does the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite compare to other plated shoes like the Saucony Endorphin Speed or the Nike Tempo Next%? What about race day shoes like the alphafly or metaspeed?
Good question, I've never ran in the Saucony End Speed but I do own other shoes such as the vaporfly, mizuno wave rebellion pro and nike zoom fly. I have also tried the shoes you mentioned before and I will say that the Puma Deviate Nitro Elites feel a lot "flatter" than most of those shoes above, as in the carbon plate inside isn't as aggressive and you don't feel as much of a rocker feeling that propels you forwards. However, that is also a good thing as it feels a lot more natural to run in and you can also use it at slower speeds with no issues. You also get a lot more ground feel with the Pumas as the midsole is not as thick as the other ones you mentioned.
I have made a review on the Puma Deviate Nitro Elites if you're interested. But I will also be making more shoe reviews in the near future so stay tuned!
