    Great video! I was doing mine via moss. I usually do water prop BUT have changed back to water for my leaf after watching your video. I need to be able to see what’s going on and can’t with moss.
    Thanks so much!

      I have never tried moss propagation. I prefer water in a clear glass because it's so much easier to check what's going on with the cutting. Good luck!

    You need a lot more amendments. They don't like to stay wet. Add large perlite and some orchid mix about 1/2 or more of the total soil. Yes you can plant the nodes.

    Hello, I would like to ask the process of plant cuttings in the soil, do you need to keep the soil moist? Or do you want the soil to have a dry cycle process?🙏

    • @FoodArtTravel
      @FoodArtTravel  Год назад +1

      I let the soil dry out at least 2 inches from the top before watering it again.

    Did you mist your leaves while propagating in water?
    Also, may I ask what soil you used brand or mix?
    And about how many times do you water it while in the dirt?
    Just trying to get a range. Yours are so nice! Thanks again

      I did not mist the leaves at all. I have the vase on my kitchen table getting plenty of indirect light. I used Miracle Gro garden soil and water it once a week. Good luck and have fun!❤

    • @FoodArtTravel
      @FoodArtTravel  3 года назад +1

      Fungus and bacteria normally causes root rot, you might need to check your soil or water. If it smells funky change it right away. Wash the slimy part of the node. Make sure to use clean, sterilized knife, scissors to cut the node if you are propagating.

    I did my potho in perlite until root was long enough,for the longest time I used perlite,until I felt comfortable enough to put the plant into a hanging basket ,there was two and filled my hanging basket nice size leafs,I was impressed.
    I wanted to work on next is the creeping philodendron,or buy a starter with some leafs.Stzrting from scratch probably would fill out my hanging basket again,might be worth it,or be patient with a starter plant

    I received mine the same way …
    Unfortunately I placed them in an
    Aroid mix .
    One made it and the other 2 started
    Wilting.
    So I placed them in water ,
    Keeping my fingers crossed
    Hoping they’ll liven up .
    To much Stress while being shipped
    Then planted directly in soil
    Then In water so I’m leaving them
    Alone under a grow light .
    Any advice is certainly welcome.
    Thank you .

      Leave them in water and near a bright indirect sunlight if possible. Growlight might help if you don't have windows.

    I rooted my cuttings in moss. The biggest issue I had was getting good cutting. My first order the cuttings were sent without nodes! The vendor had no clue what she was doing as she argued that the entire stem can grow a plant! Because there were no nodes, no plants grew but some did have root growth. I also think the cutting had been cut away from the plant too long! I ordered the next set from a vendor asked they be freshly cut and to ensure they had nodes, I had a 90% success rate. Communicate with your grower to be sure you are successful!

    I just purchased some through a very kind seller on etsy! I believe I am just getting the nodes though but, am nervous about rooting them in water. Have you tried other methods?

    • @FoodArtTravel
      @FoodArtTravel  Год назад

      I've always propagated pothos in water. I am trying to root my Epiprenmum Pinnatum Albo in a mixture of perlite and soil. I can see roots growing. It seems like water propagation is faster.

    if it the same cuttings, but mine don’t have nodes, just cuts. (pretty sure our are from the same seller bc the note and packaging was the same) but mine have been getting node rot 😩
    i capped them with cinnamon & candle wax and put them back in water, hoping they can grow roots soon so i can put them in soil. i’ve had them for almost a month now.
