I like your attention to detail of prep work. A childhood memory quote, "if it's worth doing at all, it's worth doing it right the 1st time." You certainly did it with gorgeous piece of furniture 😍. Thank you for all the information
I’ve learned so much from your videos in such a short time and I feel like I’ve watch a zillion others and I just wast getting it. The prep work was key!! Thank you so so much!!
@@FlipItFurniture Can you please let me know where its best for me to shop for the backing paper designs please. I love watching your videos and have learned so much from you. Thanks
I love your honesty. You're not afraid to tell us the truth about a product. I'm still trying to find the perfect chalk paint, especially after the Dixie Bell scandal. Thank you for your work.
This just showed up in my feed and I LOVE it! Bless your heart with that transfer! But it turned out beautiful! Great choice on the color on the top and dry brushing the details to match that color in the transfer. This is one of the prettiest French Provincial makeovers I’ve seen.😊💜
Fantastic. It's all in the details. You're so well with the details. Most people don't understand that the details support the entire project. But you do!
Cannot say enough as to how informative your videos are. I received an amazing education as to how to paint furniture. Thanks ever so much! And your dresser is drop dead gorgeous!!!
Me too! This is still the best piece of furniture I have worked on to date. It was all wood and so spacious. A classic. They don’t make it like this anymore😊
It does look so elegant. I have few ideas with my daughter s furniture. It’s white it’s a beautiful wood. It can be redone. Thank you for a master class. Very helpful.
Seriously appreciate the fact that you took the time to explain each step in detail and not just assume that we know how to do it already, because we don't. I think you would be an excellent teacher/educator. You have inspired me (not much inspires me these days) and given me a wee bit of confidence to think that perhaps I could do this. I'm saving this video to refer back to during the process. Awesome video. Look forward to watching more and learning from you.
Oh wow! That dent came out great. Fact, the entire bureau is stunning. I've often wondered about Etsy because sometimes Amazon is not all that. I think they may even be monopolizing industries and that is a bad thing so I'm grateful for the tip. Going to watch all your videos and will be looking for more.
Absolutely love this piece of furniture its so beautiful...one of the best pieces I have seen on youtube and believe me I have watched a lot of painted furniture videos!
Beautiful, love it! And yes, good prep work is key for a quality result and longlasting finish. I wish everyone could see how much time, hard work, and supplies we put into these pieces - nothing worse than someone saying, "she wants that much for some furniture she slapped some paint onto!" Ugh.
I'm having so much fun going back and watching your videos.... This flip was amazing the colors are stunning the rub on is stunning.... I'm in love lol 🤍🤍🤍
Looks nice. Love the transfer. I have seen a few people score the raw wood then they use the quick wood and it helps to get it stick. I have also a few put some staples or pins so they protrude a bit and then the quick wood grabs on better.
Thanks for the Kwik Wood tip! ♥ Usually I use A LOT of wood filler, applying it in endless layers over the missing or damaged area and using painter's tape as a mold to hold it in place :) This always takes a few days. Kwik Wood will be interesting to try :) Thanks so much! ♥
I realize that this video is almost a year old but I just came across one of your other videos and I think you’re awesome! I appreciate that you share your trials and tips. I giggled listening to you talk about white paint and wood bleeding because I went through the issue before and had to learn from it! I’ve done a few pieces around my home and for friends. I’ve been encouraged enough to start selling. So you officially have a new subscriber, because you do great work and share your bumps and bruises along the way. I’m going to need some tips! Keep up the great work and positive energy
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you decided to subscribe. I love the way you put it. Bumps and bruises along the way❤️ that's really is how we learn😊 good luck on your furniture painting journey!!
We had a terrible time with transfers while decorating our daughters craft room. Some went right on but the sunflowers were almost impossible to get off of the protective film - and of course she loves sunflowers so we had a lot of aggravating hours.
Look at your viewing numbers Amy!! Bloody awesome! Totally stoked for you. Massive congrats on a HUGELY successful year on RUclips! Very much deserved 😘
I love this piece! You did a beautiful job!! I've done furniture "refinishing" for many years and have found that when I have a large repair like you did, I put some small (often tiny) finishing nails in place sticking out a bit. When you make the repair, the medium has something to stick to besides a smooth surface. To make it easier to put the nails in I hold them with needle nose pliers...it's far less frustrating. Thank you for sharing your projects!
Omg! I am absolutely in love with your channel!! This piece is absolutely gorgeous!! I’ve wanted to do something like this for my daughter, Rose and this is beyond what I envisioned thank you for inspiring me!
I did this with a couple of old fake French Prov dressers. I like the shape of the furniture, and they were both still sturdy and serviceable -- but the years had not been kind to the finish. It was still sort of white in some places, while in others, it was yellowed FAR beyond anything that could legitimately be called either cream or ivory. It just looked god-awful. But I needed the dresser storage, so I painted them. They are not fine antiques, so paint doesn't take anything away from their value -- and, in fact, may actually help maintain whatever financial value they still have. I did some gilding, and some stenciling, and although they are not identical, they do look good together and both look very nice. I also painted and stenciled an old headboard to match. I had found it on the curb during "large household item pick-up" season, and it matched nothing until I painted and stenciled it. Now, I have a bedroom suite of semi-matched furniture. As long as you're not ruining good wood with paint, paint to your heart's content. Done correctly, the results can be quite wonderful.
shellac is my favorite it blocks tanins and blocks odors. It's easy to find in any hardware store. If I do white furniture my first coat is light grey, then I do white.
I’m so in love with this piece. It’s absolutely stunningly beautiful!! A piece like this would suit my home so well 😍😍
Geeezzz we both have great taste!!! Lol I wrote a comment not paying attention to what you said, and it's obvious great minds think alike 😁
Gorgeous beautiful stunning beautiful 🤩
Thank you, Carla!

That is the prettiest dresser! Looks super high end!
I like this, the style matches the paintwork and decoration. Which room are you putting it in. You do a very nice job. Congrats.
OMG, this is the most beautiful dresser I've ever seen...the color choice, the transfer, the hardware, everything is PERFECT.

I’m so glad you said that about the Amazon transfers! I thought I had done something horribly wrong!
It's so pretty, I wish I had the patience to do something like this.
That is absolutely beautiful I have a 9 drawer french provincial almost like this one and eventually I want to do something to it!
I love the transfers. It’s so beautiful.
Me too! 😊
Fantastic. It's all in the details. You're so well with the details. Most people don't understand that the details support the entire project. But you do!
I am so grateful I found this video! The Shellac step is life changing
I agree!! I always have it on hand😊
That piece turned out so beautiful. I love it. You’re right that piece can go to a child or an adult, it’s really fantastic. Great job
Thank you!
Thank you for telling everything that didn't work. It is good to know what can happen.

Amazing, great choice of colours, the transfer ... everything! What a masterpiece!
Thank you so much!
I also painted a French provincial with Dixie Belle. It was a very dark finish and I didn’t sand. Just used Slick Stick. No bleed through. Very easy.
Beautiful finish, paint and transfer! Thank you for sharing.
You definitely made the right choice with the color on the top, it looks beautiful!
Thank you!!!
It does look so elegant.
I have few ideas with my daughter s furniture. It’s white it’s a beautiful wood. It can be redone. Thank you for a master class. Very helpful.
I can't believe my eyes....absolutely out of this world. You should write a book, teach classes 🙂🤗🤗
