Thanks for sharing your experience! I've had some fantastic flights with Etihad before too, so I understand where you're coming from. This review is about a particular flight where things didn’t quite meet expectations. It’s interesting how just one flight attendant can sometimes make or break the experience-we know how much great service adds to the journey! Glad you had such a memorable trip with them!
I've noted elsewhere that EY's food presentation isn't as good as say Oman Air's. I've used the latter in two recent return trips to the UK and Europe with WY being excellent, even though it doesn't fly to Australia. So your comments re EY were accurate. I always try to build a bit of rapport with flight attendants by chatting with them. This seems to work well. Did you try that?
I did on one of my recent flights on Qatar and I got to say that’s the best treatment I got, on top of usual excellent service Qatar has. She was offering me so many different mid flights snacks just to try. Wish I had video of that but that was before I started blogging.
We are going to India JFK to BLR soon business class. Noticed your wife is vegetarian, just like us. Did she order off the menu or prebook Asian vegetarian meal? Thanks!
