    New from SIDI, the Rex and Rex Air boots are the successor to the old Vortice. At this level, there are few boots able to stand at the top. Weight’s down, airflow is up, and this pro-level offering is ready to rule. Built with Technomicro base material, the SIDI Rex uses SIDI's exclusive Tecno-3 Push Closure System. Ankle support braces and external ankle joints are in place to protect your feet in the event of a crash. Additional features include double-stitched stress areas, fully encapsulated heel cups, and DuPont® polymer toe shift pads. For additional ventilation, choose the SIDI Rex Air boots.

    Gotta say guys, the product reviews you give at RevZilla are top class. In depth product info and comparisons with the outgoing models and rival brands where applicable. My Vortice lasted for over 6 years and many thousands of miles with the occasional trackday thrown in too. The zipper gave up in the end. I've Alpinestars at the minute but will be reverting to Sidi when buying my next pair of boots. Keep up the good work!

    Finally a boot that will make me consider replacing my MAG-1s!

  • @The.Toaster

    Finally my vortice have given out after nearly 5 years. Not keen on the sole not being replaceable anymore (very very soft rubber wears quickly and also major problem with pulling the boot on. Stepping in sideways was so much easier to adjust your socks underneath and would be much less painful to remove them if you break your ankle. Just unzip the side rather than having to yank or cut them off. Big no no.
    Was hoping to pickup another set of vortice but they are not avail in my size left anywhere now.
    Why sidi why?

    This is much much better than one of your prior videos (on gloves) where it was a mile a minute. But slow down just a touch more and I think it'll be perfect. Really really good information though and overall job well done. When showing the features, take your time as well please. These are 500+ dollar shoes, and I wanna see all the goodies. Just slow down a bit more. When you feel like you're going way to slow, that'll be just right. Keep up the great work guys / gals. These videos are fantastic and invaluable. Regardless of my (hopefully seen as constructive criticism) they (the videos) are a HUGE reason I keep coming back to you all and does help build customer trust.

    I tried a pair of these, and found them really hard to put on. I will go, again, with a pair with the medial entry, like the Mag-1.

    the rubber on the inside of the boot is not for grip is to do not scratch your bike

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  11 месяцев назад

      The main design is for gripping your bike and is a common feature for Sport/Race boots as grip and bike control are paramount. Not scratching your bike's heel guard or frame is a bonus, but the main benefit (after talking with countless brands about it) is gripping the bike while riding.

    Any chance these will work with more of a touring pant or just designed for racing socks?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 лет назад

      They can work with many touring pants, as many touring pants can accommodate larger boots. However, it's not a guarantee. -DrewZilla

    Hey Revzilla,
    I had a question. I want to buy the rex boots for my daily commute, but i do live in a place where it rains 3/4 of the year. Are the SIDI rex boots suitable for everyday use? and is there any water resistance/rainproof in the boot?

    Do these still carry that slim profile that Sidi is known for? I wear a 9 in an alpinestar tech 3 (dirt) and Im looking to get a size 10 in these just for that reason.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 года назад

      Yes, these still have the "Sidi" fit, so you would likely want a half size bigger or so compared to Alpinestars. -DrewZilla

    How do these pair up with a dianese suit like the kyalami? How is the walkability if I want to wear them for group rides out in the countryside instead of just at the track?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 года назад +1

      The Kyalami would fit inside these boots just fine, but you wouldn't be able to use Dainese's suit-to-boot system which would only be available with Dainese IN boots. Also, you could technically walk around in these but they are not designed to be comfortable that way. The design team on these had one focus and that was making them great on the bike in the aggressive riding position. But at the end of the day, you could technically walk around in anything, even a dirt boot, if you don't mind it not being comfortable. - Pat

      @@RevZilla thanks pat. I don't care about the suit to boot system I'm looking for something I can use at the track or on hill country runs without the power rangers suit. I think this will do

    • @mariabutler3356
      @mariabutler3356 4 года назад

      In Nike Air Max I have US size 10 (EU 44) but with the Sidi Rex I have US 11 (EU 45.5) and they fit perfectly. I have medium/small foot. Alpinestars in Size 11 (EU 45.5) are way too big for me.

    I understand that you are possibly restricted on time and that you maybe nervous about being in front of the camera but breath, take it easy and slow. That fact that you are going faster makes it easier for word slips to happen and may also put some people off as they may think your not wanting to talk to us about the product.
