Thanks for this upload but what a bizarre conversation - but I mostly blame the Indians for utterly failing to contextualising the film. Missing the presence of Satyajit Ray, who would have set it straight in a few sentences. Soumitra and others just totally disappoint

@@shashwata671 That is never going to change, in a way, we do the same to some extent in our films and stereotype certain aspects of western culture. Fear of the Other always trumps any willingness to explore the Other.
That observation, if taken in a general context, rings true for the overall degeneration.
