I keep two reading journals. In one, every day I write down what page I started on in each of the 4 or so books I'm reading. Then I write down my progress, like (abbreviation for title of book) page 50, 250 pages to go. I try to read 75 pages per day unless I'm really pushing to finish a book, like I did at the end of 2022. I actually got the idea for my other reading journal from you, Jesse, where I write down the date I finish a book, the title and author, whether it was a reread for me or I read it for the first time, and then I rate it one to five stars for writing style, characters, plot, pacing, world building, and as a whole. I got the idea from your Magic 8 Ball video. Everybody reading this, if you can read, you can keep a reading journal. You got this!
I love your book hauls, especially when you unbox things. Unfortunately I do not live in the instagram or tiktok spheres so I’ll probably miss your next ones if you post them exclusively over there. If you could also put those on here as shorts, that would be the best of both worlds for me 😊

One book I picked up in the last week and finished was “What I like About You”. It was gripping, relatable, cute, had pretty setting, and invoking characters. Every character was different but also had a familiar feeling. I’d recommend it! I gave it a 7/10 :]
I literally just freaked out when you said "Dark Room Etiquette" and the queen herself - Robin Roe!!! I read all of her books as an e-verson and asked a friend, who studies in the States, to bring me the physical copies!!! This woman is incredible storyteller and I highly recommend her!!!
Literally just bought 2 books on Wendsday. The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and a thousand heartbeats by Kiera Cass. Just finished Queen Of Legends by Frost Kay and can't wait to start a new book.

I recently got Tokyo Ever After, Tokyo Dreaming, and Kate in Waiting in my recent book haul which are some of my favorite books so I am very excited to add them to my collection!

That book devourers box though...I don't go for book subscriptions because the shipping is close to the price of the box where I live, but if I were to I would go for illumicrate. I like their book selections and their aesthetics for what they give you in the box do align with mine, which cannot be said for all the other book boxes.

I got four manga for Christmas volume 1 and 2 the way of the house husband from my mom Jessie I think you would have it so funny and fire force volume 30 and the duke of death and his maid volume 4
I admit I am a hater of the darkling. But that is not the main reason why I am very unimpressed with Demon in the Wood. I read the short story because it was attached to my edition of Ruin and Rising, and it is my least favourite of her short stories. I was also trying to understand the love people had for his character because I find him very dull. It could have been good, but not with the story she chose. If it was just a story of his training and him and Bagrha trying to get by while interacting with other grisha and how they lived during that time, I would have loved it despite my dislike of the darkling and how much a drag he is to read about. But it wasn't that. Instead, I got a story that was barely a story that was unremarkable and flat, and the only thing I enjoyed was learning how the grisha used to live. When I learned it was being adapted into a graphic novel my first question was why because any other of her short stories would have made a better adaption because there is more of a story to adapt. The only thing I am hopeful for is that this might mean more graphic novel adaptions of her short stories which I will love, I am particularly hopeful for a Tailor adaption which I think gives a real insight into Genya as a character and tells more details with her backstory. But somehow I doubt we'll be getting this.
