"Spastic Colon" is the band name. As for why the burned girl mentioned silver in the mirror: "Most common household mirrors are "back-silvered" or "second-surface", meaning that the light reaches the reflective layer after passing through the glass." The glass of a mirror is just there to protect the reflective material (usually a thin layer of silver) behind the glass. This is also why vampires were said not to cast a reflection in mirrors, because silver was seen as a "pure metal" at the time. Probably the same reason for why it kills werewolves, though werewolves and vampires came from the same myths and were only eventually separated and had the attributes split between them.

The duel guitar and the playing in the movie is by Michael Angelo Batio, a renowned shredder in the guitar playing genre. He made the duel guitar famous and was well known for his speed with solo's. Traci Lords did appear nude in several scenes for her first legitimate film role in the movie "Not of This Earth". Roger Corman produced a remake of his own 1950's sci-fi film with Traci in the lead role. The "looking in silver" is a reference to old vampire fables. Mirrors used to be made with silver and therefore they could not see their reflection. How that has to deal with zombie burn victim chicks is beyond me
fun fact: the main character is played by Stephen Quadros, famous MMA commentator who used to work for Pride FC in Japan. Unfortunately, he is no longer active (as far as I know).
Traci Lords was in the third (and final) season of a show called "First Wave" back in the early 2000s. Her acting was decent. I think they brought her on to help boost ratings...didn't work. Good show though, SciFi channel. If Rock and Roll Nightmare is one of your top three SBiG films, what are the other two?
Guys, in regard to the mirror, I'm assuming they said it was "silver" because most if not all mirrors are made from glass with silver nitrate to make it reflective. A coat of paint is used behind the glass to preserve the silver and the reflectivity. In older mirrors where this paint has chipped off and the silver has worn off you can just see right through the glass.
Morbius prequel mixed with Spawn, the multiverse version of Purple Rain, with a hint of multiverse Thriller, a sprinkle is Shang Tsung, meets Miss Cleo. Makes sense to me and the anti hero we could use these days 😆

(I actually have a bad phobia about people vomiting, but that's another story lol) Once I was done I could finally see clearly but he told me we were leaving. Eh, didn't bother me cuz I was bored shitless anyway lol
Jesus. What messed you up that much?
@@JasonBrant What it was, I had Budlight then later had Budweiser! I've tested that theory a couple times and yeah I keep getting sick. I just stick to Budweiser lol There's actually a new beer I tried that's really cool. It's Karbach Brewing Co. Hopadillo IPA! Now if I drink a light beer that's all I'll have, if regular then just regular lol live and learn!
@@JasonBrant haha, Oh! thanks for asking! To me, that IPA tastes like a slightly stronger Budweiser!
Traci Lords did appear nude in several scenes for her first legitimate film role in the movie "Not of This Earth". Roger Corman produced a remake of his own 1950's sci-fi film with Traci in the lead role. Roger knew it would be great publicity for the film and Traci knew this would give her a big break in a "Hollywood" movie. After filming, Traci vowed to never do another nude scene ever again as she wanted to be known as a legitimate actress.
Thanks for the info.
@@JasonBrant She did the Asylum's version of John Carter with Antonia Sabato Jr. She played Dejah Thoris and it is bad. She is bad in it particularly, bored and tired more than anything. She's competent enough, maybe not a lead actress but can do the job. The movie isn't worth the effort, so one can't blame her for phoning it in.
None of her porn movies are legal, all are considered child porn. She made one video when she was 18 and it was sort of like a Playboy thing. Full frontal but no sex. It's no longer available and she says it's still part of her porn life so wants nothing to do with it. This was also the glory days of Inside Edition and afternoon celebrity shows, she made the scene, boy. CNN stories and everything.
Traci did music too. She was kinda big in the techno scene. A few of her songs made it into the mortal Kombat movie and hackers i think.
LOL!!! Erin was the first to know who Traci Lords was (Hilarious!) Thanks! Jason appreciate all of your hard work on creating the content and Erin get well soon.
Thanks!
Michael Angelo Batio is in this... Guitar Legend!!!!
Speed Kills is a great song
erin got the dogs out for the boys
I wonder if any of your followers could help me find an obscure 80s action B movie I watched as a kid? All I can remember is the hero had a shotgun and the villain had a stairway trap which turned into a slide/chute and at the bottom were blades which cut the body into pieces which then fell to a lion. I also remember a black van with a minigun set up in it.
I can't for the life remember what it was called or who was in it, but its been driving me mad. Anyway love your vids, glad we're getting 2 a week now! Looking forward for the next Segal lol.
No idea.
17:05 "So he just has to kind of rub chests?"
17:08 Speaking of rubbing chests.
🤣
20:04 I just thought about it his song in the beginning was about not getting on his knees but his outfit has kneepads no judgment
All right, I'm in agreement with Jason, here. The main character lost me at around the 15:55 mark when he was drowning his former coworker in a pot of pizza sauce. Almost everything else about the movie was pure early 90's goodness!
I thought he was gonna be the hero, but no... that would require sensible writing.
2:56 The biggest role she’s ever had was a role in the movie crybaby with Johnny Depp outside of some married with children episodes that’s about it but I could be wrong
Traci Lords is apparently still acting. She has had a lot of roles in TV series, and also voice work in video games, etc.
She was the main prostitute in Risky Business with Tom Cruise
I recall her playing "Bubbles" in Zack & Miri Make A Porno. In the mid 2000s.
Her IMDB is really long. Looks like a lot of low budget stuff.
21:53 I bet you if you if they offered Ric Flair a paycheck some liquor and head from Tracy lords he probably would’ve actually done this movie
Probably 🤣
Brian is the man. Love his commentary
I'll tell him you said that. Thanks.
Damn my friends and I used to watch this on repeat back in the early 2000s. I brought it on tour back then when I'd tour with my metal band and we'd show it to everyone that'd put us up for the night in just about every city we passed through.
I didn’t think this was coming out until tomorrow so this has made my day.
Always on Sunday. Hope you dig it.
@@JasonBrant I remember you saying Sundays. Which is why I’m now realising it’s actually not Saturday anymore like I thought it was.
I absolutely love you all!!! When I watch your videos I have such a way better day!!!
Thanks so much, James!
Traci Lords, bringing back early 90s black box descrambling viewers choice after 11pm memories!
🤣
The guitar player is called Michael Angelo Batio and he used to play for a band called Nitro. I knew it would be him as soon as I saw that double guitar. I remember the Washburn ads back when I worked in a music shop, although he apparently used Dean as well. EDIT. Just seen it's a B.C.Rich in the film but that man really loved a double guitar (made of 2 separate guitars clipped together)
The double guitar was sick.
I think these were students from Saved by the Bell but just didn't get any air time.
🤣
I had a life-size cardboard Movie stand up from West Coast Video of Tracy Lord's from this movie. I believe Jason, she was in Steven Kings the Langoliers.
Tommyknockers?
@@JasonBrant your correct! Realized my mistake today! She was the Penthouse pet of the year in like 1986! She was only 14y old! I thought her best acting was in TV series 2nd Wave? I think that was the name. I really liked that Sci fi show!
24:26 It's Jim Lahey. lol. I've had a few myself.
Had to look that name up.
The "stunt" guitar double in this movie if I recall correctly is Michael Angelo Batio.
So I hear.
I loved this when it came out and even own it, I became a Batio fan after this and even went a guitar clinic he held and he signed my guitar
Nice!
This one was great. 9:34 , what a ridiculous movie lmao. "Smashing colons"
🤣
Awesome! Michael Angelo Batio doing the guitar solos. 😁
He killed it.
Dude. Im paused at 8:18 🤣🤣💯 already laughing. Cheers.
🤣
You folks are awesome, keep up the great work. Do you folks know if the soundtrack for this movie is still available? The older guy at the restaurant is Aldo Ray, he was a Navy Frogman during WW2, the SEALs before they were SEALs.
No idea about the soundtrack.
The hand guitar shots were Micheal Batio.
7:30 is that the legend himself, Michael Angelo Batio? If it is, fuckin awesome, that guy got the keys to the Lamborghini.
Im pretty sure Satchel from Steel Panther took his look from this movie lol
🤣 🤣
There have actually been a number of bands called Spastic Colon. I know of at least two, a noise rock duo from the mid-nineties, (basically a heavier version of the last 3 Sonic Youth albums) and a Midwest metalcore band cir. 2010.
I had absolutely no idea about the under-age controversy surrounding Traci Lords… hilarious AND educational! No one in this film (film?) was going to win any awards for acting, writing, or really anything. Craft services maybe? 😂😂😂
Her story is nuts.
@@JasonBrant how about this angle to the movie, the rocker’s hair was a copy of early Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, Shock’em dead like the Motley Crue song “Knock’em dead” and Motley Crue wrote “All in the Name of Rock n Roll” mostly about this young girl who lived a few doors down from them that they would bang who surprised them with her porn mags and movies…. She was Miss Tracii Lords!!
Someone involved in the creation of this gem was a Motley Crue fan
double guitar player is Michael Angelo Batio
Erin, that was the US Capitol building not the White House, 😁😁 lol. Love the channel!
Thanks.
This was actually pretty good and entertaining, I wasn't baffled by the plot at all and that's a good start. 🤣😂
Most mirrors are made by applying a silver nitrate solution to glass. Historically silver has been assigned many mystical and metaphysical properties.
9:22 guy in the middle seat seems to have lost his right elbow lol
Lost my elbow?
@@JasonBrant it's just a shadow laying over your right elbow makes it look like it's not there LOL
It takes a special talent to make s movie with the Devil, heavy metal, 4some and have Traci Lords in it...boring.
You guys saved the episode more then normal :)
Thanks!
Traci Lords best acting performance was the redhead vampire at the beginning of Blade.
She was great in that.
@@JasonBrant At one point Traci was going to return in the sequel to Blade as her character's twin sister, Verlaine (it is even mentioned in the script that it would be Traci). Verlaine is still in the movie (the vampire with short red hair). I don't know why Traci didn't play her, though possibly because the character doesn't do much.
Peanut butter stout? The brewers spent so much time wondering if they could that they didn't stop to wonder if they should.
Incorrect.
I recall the BR transfer was a straight up VHS one. The look and feel of this flick reminds me of Hobgoblins.
Haven't seen Hobgloblins.
The "looking in silver" is a reference to old vampire fables. Mirrors used to be made with silver and therefore they could not see their reflection. How that has to deal with zombie burn victim chicks is beyond me
Wow! What a classic,I love this movie,so nostalgic! great review too guys!!
This is one boys rented just for the high amount of hooblers.
Also, I really like Brian's shirt.
Hooblers, that's a new one🤣🤣🤣
@@megatronjenkins2473 it's something a buddy and I started saying in our bar hopping days.
Hooblers 🤣
fun fact: the main character is played by Stephen Quadros, famous MMA commentator who used to work for Pride FC in Japan. Unfortunately, he is no longer active (as far as I know).
Really? I didn't recognize him at all!
@@JasonBrant You used to watch Pride FC? Alright then! :)
My goodness Erin’s legs! They are superb. You can tell she lifts. Love the show.
Thanks!
I love your videos, especially when it's the three of you.
Thanks!
Aka The Main Crew
Traci Lords was in the third (and final) season of a show called "First Wave" back in the early 2000s. Her acting was decent. I think they brought her on to help boost ratings...didn't work. Good show though, SciFi channel.
If Rock and Roll Nightmare is one of your top three SBiG films, what are the other two?
It's hard to ignore her previous career of sucking 2500 cocks. But.. in 'murica it's accepted as a way to get famous.
I don't know that it's still in my top 3, but it's high up the list. We've seen some really great stuff lately.
It's also why vampires can't be seen in mirrors
Thanks for the info.
Michealangelo is the demon guys name playing the double guitar, he played for a band called nitro. Yes, im old, lol, i had the bands music cassette
Wow michael angelo batio is in this movie ? Nice , he is the one playing the guitar riffs
You guys and gal make my Sundays so much better.
Thanks!
@@JasonBrant thank you.
Morbius prequel mixed with Spawn, the multiverse version of Purple Rain, with a hint of multiverse Thriller, a sprinkle is Shang Tsung, meets Miss Cleo. Makes sense to me and the anti hero we could use these days 😆
Makes total sense.

So cool!!! I grew up in the area that they show in the credits!!! Hollywood, CA aka Hollyweird!!!!
Congrats.
I remember loving Traci Lords but it was so long before an extremely naive me knew about her adult career.
"What's with all the books?" - Jason Brant the author.
When I think about deals with the devil to become rock gods, I think about home libraries.
Another "interesting" deal with the Devil movie is _Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son-in-Law,_ starring Dolemite himself, Rudy Ray Moore.
We gotta get back to more RRM. Love that dude.
@@JasonBrant I know his films are streaming from a few services, but I'm not sure if any are without ads or whether you'd watch films with ads. You can always edit them out, but sometimes the ads break the flow of what one is watching.
I had a pair of those graduated brown aviators in high school in 1990. They didn’t work because I wasn’t cool.
Speaking of Traci Lords, anyone see the tv movie The Tommyknockers, (May 1993), with her in it? What a ever so wonderful movie that is. Love the channel.
I saw it when it first aired, but don't remember much about it.
@@JasonBrant I have a old dvd of it watched it once. Went to watch again made maybe 20mins. It’s almost unforgivable. Lol.
B - Double E - Double R - UN - Beer Ruuuuun. That's gonna be stuck in my head for a while.
You're welcome.
I remember seeing this in video stores back in the day. I don't think I ever rented it. I think Red Letter Media might have this on Best of the Worst.
