Mast work sure looks scary to _me_ . Glad to see the captain down and with a fair report card. Rigging hardware can be such a pain- drat! But I bet Sam will get it done.
How were your new propellers? Unless the propellers are made of aluminum or plastic, they may chew your aluminum hull. You can coat your propeller with resin to slow down the electrolysis.
Sure hope you're able to get your lost piece replace that's horrible when you lose something in the water and you can't get it back. Hopefully when we see you next week you'll have everything back together and heading out into the beautiful blue seas as always be safe and God bless
Thank you Kris! We have sourced a fabricator in town that can replicate the piece 👌 We will be getting everything back together soon and ready to put her to sea! ⛵️💜 Thank you for your weekly comments, we always enjoy reading them! 😊 -Cait
Uh oh ..tinky winky style from the boat Fairy...😂 Gt40..pre treat 24 -48hrs If the Allen key rounds out the hole your next step is to try hammering in a Torex.. next size up..(always try to use an impact driver its less likely to round out any siezed fastner as it shocks it loose just half a turn) if that fails then resort to the extractor. Or drill it all out and re tap for the next size up 🤞🏼😉🧙🏼♂️ The other option in that position is stick to the dingy underneath or a old sheet 😊
Thabk you Clive! A scrappy nappie! An upsidedown umbrella 🌂 has been doing well under the furler 💪🌟 we have found a fabricator in town that can replicate the piece. Always careful over water. Its not the best sound when you here a *plunk* into the water. -Cait
@@sailingwiththejamess Another sailing channels little boat fairy went through a phase of loving that sound .. 🤦😂🤷🏻 nothing small left in the cockpit was safe.
@@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 Oh no! LOL yes little boat fairies and their little hands can be dangerous sometimes around the water. We have lost a kickball over the side at an anchorage once, thankfully the waves pushed it to shore and it washed up on the beach (yay!) thankfully nothing major has been lost over the sides from the tiny hands, the child netting is very helpful too. We have found a fabrication place in town that can replicate the piece, winning!
@@sailingwiththejamess Had some friends who's 3 year old fed the contents of dad's wallet through a gap in the floor boards ..cards notes licence.😂 Amazing persistence and dexterity when focused that's tiny people ...when it goes quiet .. go looking.😆🧙🏼♂️
kersplash ! not what you want to hear lol tho a fishing magnet may be handy?!? always thought about sailing, aside from a hobie cat, yachts and big cats have way too many ropes for my liking :) Frank from Sydney
Hey Frank! 👋 It was a stainless piece unfortunately, otherwise magnetic fishing sounds super fun - don't know what's down there in the marina, might catch more things than anticipated 😆 hobie cats are amazingly fun in their own right ⛵️💨 but definitely recommend giving yachts or bigger cats a go if you're interested 😀 💜⛵️ -Cait
make a snappy nappie so that when you drop bits over the side they will get caught in the nappie. no guarantees but improves the possible outcome considerably where there's a will there's a way.
Space Monkey! Love the name snappy nappie! 🤣 An umbrella upside down under the furler has been working great. The *plunk* in the water wasn't the best sound we ever heard 😱 We are loving the name snappy nappie! -Cait
No we haven't tried, its an aluminium piece and we have heard form the divers that work in the marina that the bottom is very silty and things sink and it would be finding a needle in a hay stack sort of thing. Cait @@spacemonkey-yj7ss

Up and down safely! Really beautiful view front up top and everything looking great! 😍 Now time to tune it!

Hey Lee!
We have a haulout soon and they will be going on shortly. We are very much looking forward to getting them on!
