I''m 52 yo and I was raised on Jackson 5, I have every album including Michaels first solo album off the wall which was my favorite to this day. I have never had posters of any other artist than MIchael , when I first heard of Jungkook song and saw the video It was nostalgic , I felt MJ influence still to this day. Made me a little sad becuase I think Michael would have approved. Keep bringing the funk for the newer generation. May the R&B-funk be with you all.

Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS. They have been together for nearly 12 years. I'm a HUGE MJ fan too. When I first heard of BTS I had all these preconceived notions and stereotypes of what I thought they would be. K-POP?? No thanks. But BTS shattered everything I thought they would be. They are the most talented and diverse group I stumbled upon during the pandemic.They are literally the biggest group on the planet, and for good reason.I would highly recommend watching "A Guide to BTS Members" by Taylor Mari. Their fan base called ARMY is not like other fans. All ages, genders, nationalities, and very supportive for people who are just discovering them for the first time. Their discography is huge, 300+ songs between group and solo songs. I hope you can have an open mind and give them a try. 💜

I grew up watching MJ, but I only ever watched him perform live in concert once in my lifetime, 'cos he only ever came to my country once. Like you, I feel MJ is legendary. But after I saw this Jung Kook music video, I was practically in tears, 'cos it felt to me like MJ had reincarnated somehow. Since he passed away in 2009, I had missed watching him perform so much. Then Jung Kook went and did "Standing Next To You" and it felt like MJ was indeed standing right next to him. The 2 of them have some similarities. They are both the youngest members of the groups they are from. Jung Kook is the youngest member of BTS, while MJ was the youngest member of The Jackson 5. MJ released his first solo album that wasn't on Motown called "Off The Wall" 10 years after being in The Jackson 5. Jung Kook just released his first solo album called "Golden" 10 years after being in BTS. MJ is a Virgo and so is Jung Kook. MJ was the lead vocal in The Jackson 5, while Jung Kook is the main vocal of BTS. You might want to check out "3D", "Seven" and "Yes Or No" from Jung Kook's "Golden" album too. He did a remix of ""3D" with Justin Timberlake recently. "Seven" features Latto, and it's already gone platinum in the USA. And Ed Sheeran had a hand in writing "Yes Or No".

If you check out Dynamite Bts enlish song the did during pandemic to cheer people up(this was a homage to Michael Jacksson), and was there first nr 1 song at Billboard 100 but the have 5 moore nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 and 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 and 12 Billboard awards. . this the biggest group in the world. and beacuse Bts have to do mandatory military service. The are all ding solo song and album. All members have just finish this, 3 members have allready enlist, and yesterday we got the announcment that the rest off the 4 members are all enlisting together. So in 2025 all member will be together again

You've probs heard Dynamite and Butter and Permission to Dance, three full English songs BTS dropped during the pandemic.
Enjoyed your reaction and overall vibe. No one has to touch MJ in your heart. There is room for admiring others on a large scale though and kind of think you might like JK. He is versatile and has that voice and moves. If you end up watching the Taylor Mari's Guide to BTS (that is... if you explore a little more BTS and find you want to) he does some dancing in that where he flows even smoother than the moon walk. But yeah, BTS has always liked MJ. Not sure what anyone might recommend for you. But I would like to recommend Born Singer by BTS. Done on the beat of JCole's Born Sinner. They wrote it a few months after they debuted in 2013!! They were only 15-20 years old at that time. They performed it again about 5 years later. This is a good mix of the two performances and gives you an idea of who they are. JCole gave them permission to include their song on their anthology album last year in 2022. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure to turn on captions or subtitles for BTS songs. JK's new album is all English, but most of their 300+ discography is Korean. You're so funny with the moonwalk business. Jung Kook is a member of BTS and adores Michael Jackson. He also has perfect pitch and a high voice, and is an extraordinary dancer. What has happened is BTS is made up of seven men - three rappers and four vocalists. They separated a year or so ago because they all are required to go into the Korean military. Each of them has created a solo album while they were waiting their turn. Jungkook made this song as the main song on his album, which is called Golden. You may have heard his other #1 songs this fall, Seven, and 3D. Jungkook is destined to be an absolute star after he is out of the military. With this song, he knocked Taylor Swift out of #1 on the Top 100.
It's been a sad week (12/11) for BTS. Four of them including Jungkook, joined the military this week, which is required in Korea, and won't be back for 18 months. 60 million fans all over the world have been sobbing. When they get back, they will blow everyone out of the water. And yes, they can moonwalk.
I know you are interested in rap and in other groups, but you're going to fall head first into BTS. They have overcome so much to be the best in the world, and you will love every second. They have 235 songs in 9 years, plus separate albums for each of them in this past year. Enjoy!
