This whole thing is an homage to Michael Jackson. From JK's crotch grab well known MJ dance moves from his heyday to Usher's bell bottoms and other dance moves from some of MJ's earlier videos. Also, u mentioned Usher looked like he was on skates, check out that spin where he lifts his arm above his head.
