Finale: Allegro moderato I don't know why this is teferred to as being in A minor on various recorded sources. Examination of the score shows that the opening movement has a key signature of 3 sharps, the designation for A Major., and it is unmistakably in a major key. I believe the finale is in the minor, but I think the final chord does the 'Picardy' trick, albeit ppp.
This a fabulous performance especially by the Pianist Vita Kan who plays with precision and power .Why she is not known more is a mystery to me. I have listened to this performance many times and never tire of it. This is a sublimely written piece of music with a wide range of emotion which the performers capture remarkably well. I am a fan of Gidon Kremer but this performance exceeds that of his group . I was sad to hear Vita is no longer part of the group but her replacement is more than capable. The Trio Marvin is one to watch . I hope they come to the US .
