amy’s gotten me through some incredibly tough times. i think we’re very similar, addictive personalities, easily manipulated, groomed, and persuaded into things by people we love, and obsessive love to the point of self-harm. i think i may have BPD, and i wouldn’t be surprised if she had some form of that either. but i think she said it best when she said “music speaks to me like nothing else can”. i’m a huge music nerd too, and her music is legit incredible, not even mentioning her voice. oh my god. just sitting and listening to her songs and crying softly was such a healing experience for me when i was going through some of the worst of it, and i felt like, somehow, she was talking to me. like, “yeah, emotions are shit. love sucks, and men suck even more, huh? i know.” and it was so relieving to have someone that understood me like that, both artistically and emotionally, even if i didn’t even know her.

Amy will FOREVER be one of the greatest talents this world has seen. It takes a lot to really understand her. Simply a genius. Amy, wherever you are now, I hope you know you are LOVED, RESPECTED and NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN. you had 27 short years and you changed the world in those. Rest easy. WE ADORE YOU ❤️‍🩹🪽

Not being able and not known to be surrounded with healthy environment and support transfer you to those drugs and abuse, non emotional present parents transfer you to that also. Not finding the root/roots of your miseries transfer you to falling lost in drugs and every form of abuse and other more things...

@@ZeroblueeeeeAddiction can kill, if the addicted doesn‘t explore the cause of the need for the substance. After figuring that out, it takes time and an effort to replace that need for the substance with something more healthy and meaningful and the craving will slowly become less, with every time you don‘t give in, you‘ll become more convinced that it isn‘t worth going back to the misery and the inner strength grows.
You can only stop using longterm when you don‘t feel an urgent need for it constantly anymore. To get there isn’t easy but it’s sustainable while other therapy concepts have been less helpful ( to me), especially all those that are promoted as „quick solutions“. Withdrawl is never the most difficult part of rehab although it’s tough enough.

She stated several times that she did not have stage fright. Many people said also she got a huge adrenalin kick out of it. In my opinion she struggled psychologically with relationship to her family and love life and her songs reflected that, which made it hard for her to perform since she had to relive and re-tell the story over and over again and it made her sad and drink/smoke to be able to preform and relive it over and over. She needed deep therapy, but she didn't want it. So the end was inevitable

The Scottish woman in this documentary really annoys me. Firstly describing Amy’s face as ‘chubby’ never acceptable when talking about a woman’s appearance… and secondly imagine saying to Amy’s dad ‘it must be heart breaking knowing many people have already penned her obituary.’ However true that may be saying that to a father about his daughter is disgusting.

I get an odd feeling about him, too. Plus, she had Daddy written on her shoulder. Even the lyric about him thinking she's fine ?
Then add in the self-harm, eating disorder, relationship addiction, breast implants, etc. i get a very clear idea of what went on.
Drug abuse comes from childhood trauma, and that's all that needs an explanation.

I get what you guys are saying, but there’s a certain power dynamic at play, and the band members may not feel it’s their place / they have the power to step up and do something like take Amy off stage while she’s performing, despite her physical condition
She is the Star, she bring in the money, she is the important one. It can be difficult when the band members are more so “employees” of a famous artist, opposed to an actual total “band” or group like The Who or The Beatles

To her dad I‘d like to say: A „getting better story“ sure is worth being covered by media but the gossip media obviously are looking for scandals and offer more for that. Just look for the right media when you like a good story covered.
Getting better for an addict is always a long process, never ever just withdrawl and you‘re well and done with subs abuse when you have been addicted for years since teenage years or early 20s.
Being in the spotlight throughout addiction and then you‘re expected to just be perfectly fine after a rather short time of rehab is putting a lot of pressure on anyone but also addicts often have unrealistic expectations of themselves which can lead to a vicious cycle. Sadly Amy probably didn‘t have the time to figure it out slowly and sustainably due to her assumed longterm effects from different health issues, not only from substance abuse but other kind of self harming addiction like conditions as far as I‘m informed.😢
    R I P unique beautiful soul and talent 🕊️
I hope you‘re smiling from above, realizing how loved and adored you are still and will always be ❤

At the edge through the end of her fame on Earth,I was going through a lot of what Amy was going through, beyond the spotlight of her talent. I was on so many drugs, but not as hard, but drinking whatever I could drink and suffering from severe anorexia with b/p tendencies. I was also self harming on multiple levels and being kicked out every 7 months before I left home 19.
It also didn't help that I was in a fruitless relationship with a guy 5 years older than me, who also did drugs. He had more priors than I ever had and because I was with him, I had priors on my record before the age of 21.
Amy was a true talent beyond what many probably could even understand coming up in this day and age. She was a very complicated character, but most musically and creatively adpt are. It also did not help that the tabloids and people around her helped with almost blind continuation and not saying "hey amy, what they hell?, we need to stop this shit." She needed someone to actually help pull her out of her own path for awhile, even with tough love.
As a former addict, your rock bottom is your own and no one elses. From my experience as well as seeing others (7/10are dead now) for her to have recovered she needed the space to actually hit a rock bottom. They kept her, with her own vulnerabilities, just hovering and scraping rock bottom. She never had that chance to hit her own wall herself.
I am thankful to have known her music, in a very rural town across the pond. I cannot imagine how she would be today and I have tried. ❤ RIP forever.

Find a safe person you can trust to help you. Document what happens. There are apps that work as a secret vault to keep information away from prying eyes.
A hidden camera that saves to the cloud could give you the evidence you need to get.
Love yourself enough to get out with your kids and pets and go elsewhere.
The second you make up your mind the universe will come together to assist you.
You have a Guardian Angel all you have to do is acknowledge them and tell them you want their assistance. Then watch for the signs. Follow your urges. Trust your intuition, it's there for you.
They can't stop themselves from hurting you and you have to be the one that keeps you safe. Make a plan but dont leave any evidence.
A real love takes care of you. They don't harm you on purpose. Please love yourself, you're worth it. ❤

I also was due to see Amy in my local town but she cancelled. it was the day the smoking ban came in, we went into the nearest pub when we realised she wasn’t turning up. instead of the smell of smoke we were used to in pubs, all we could smell was bad wind/shit 💩 not a good omen as it turned out. Miss you Amy RIP ❤

To think, had Amy and Blake's paths never crossed, she would still be alive today.
If she met someone who has never smoked, taken drugs or alcohol in the first place, Amy wouldn't have taken drugs, and then if they eventually split or got divorced she wouldn't have taken it soo bad. Yeah Amy had the odd drink here and there but had she of met someone normal, she would've had a better chance of still being alive today.

But honestly how many normal young people are there who DON'T drink or do some type of drug even casually today? Really think. Very few. Unless they're religious or maybe super health conscious or maybe grew up with massive addiction in their own family so they stay away for that reason....she was young and Blake was close to her age. It was just unfortunate that the dude she fell heart and soul in love with was a TRUE hard addict. And I do believe she had live performing and even normal social anxiety problems and learned at some point that social drinking helped with that..and so she was vulnerable to someone who was already into hard drugs & alcoholic and it wasn't a big jump to using drugs/booze as a lifestyle from there. She was like many, many women I have known. She was a person who was vulnerable to addiction bc she became trauma bonded to an even harder addict.
I feel so sad for her. Her talent made her so incredibly special. I wish she had really understood how much of a true star she was.

    • @Barec76
      @Barec76 8 дней назад +2

That isn't so, she would have most definitely still become an alcoholic, and that's what killed her. Did you not listen? Every addict gets introduced, but ultimately, they are responsible for themselves. What a poor take.

    • @tholoanamakhabane221
      @tholoanamakhabane221 6 дней назад +2

She was an addictive personality. Meaning for her addiction is very easy. Obsessive, perfectionist. All those could very much contribute to her addiction. Yes unfortunately she met this guy and obviously was introduced to substances but really she had many more problems going on for her, found escapism in the wrong things. And while that’s unfortunate it’s unfair to blame it all on one person. Yes he is partly but not entirely to blame as she was a grown person with consciousness

We missed out on some brilliant music, her style her lyrics her heart wrenching songs are legendary and will remind so forever she was one of the great so sad we lost this so young💔💔💔😭😭😭❤️

Blaming the boyfriend for her drug use is so misguided.. its parents refusing to accept their perfect daughter could do hard drugs willingly.. My ex was 13 years older than me, and already dependant on opioids fully knowing id also become dependant, and still pushed them on me one after the other . And i know it was still ME who took the drugs willingly, no one put a gun to my head. And all the talk on here about amy looking for a strong male figure, and trauma bonding with blake, i guess I'm missing something because it seemed like she came from a loving family who gave her every opportunity and cheered her on? I missed the traumatic part
