- Brandon Michon says his message isn't political. And if parents want to keep their kids home, he's fine with it. But the Virginia father says he's gone to Loudoun County School Board meetings for months and feels like his voice isn't being heard. Then, when his 5-year-old and 8-year-old spoke at this particular meeting, he says the board didn't acknowledge them. That's when he stepped forward and did not hold back.

I had to endure this BS after the 6th grade. I was 1 of 3 Caucasian students in a Detroit elementary school, and we were taught only African American History. It's been 50 years but now it's on your doorstep.

As soon as that Deputy followed the orders of that lady who is not in his chain of command, he stopped doing his job and started working for her at our expense.

You don’t have to like it but the fact is that a government official has the authority to have people removed from government property just like you have the right to have people removed from yours. Asking the police to escort somebody off of the grounds is not giving them orders just like you calling them to have someone removed from your home isn’t you giving them “orders”. A police officers job is to keep the peace and though I agree 100% with what this man was saying, he was being disruptive. This officer did exactly as they should have done. To believe otherwise is to suggest that they shouldn’t remove the disruptive person from your house when you want them too.
Maybe, just maybe it might be time for police to rethink doing their job, if their job involves supporting and protecting communists tyrants in training like these jerks and all the other jersk across the country occupying our school boards and other elected offices.
If these people can't cut it or refuse to live up to their responsibilities, then these "tyrants" should not have any support or protection in the first place. This is really pathetic on so many levels.

As a teacher of 15 years, this parent is absolutely right! I have been working in-person at my school since August 2020. My daughter has attended school all year in-person. There is a lot of misinformation out there which caused much fear and enabled many teachers to not want to return to the classrooms. Schools are not petri dishes for Covid and children are not main carriers of it either. It's time for schools to reopen.

The problem are not the teachers, genius, the Government is the one that imposes the end of classes and institute the Online ones. The teachers are sick of giving classes on the internet and they are not the ones pushing for the schools to close, not even the students want the damn online classes.

As if the teachers are the ones conspiring to the closing of schools. Lol get real. They are going insane with online classes, they don't leave the damn computer, all the time doing works to send to students because they have to keep them occupied, never leave the internet always on classes, classes, support, reunions, zoom meetings, like prisioners in a damn room, etc etc. Only taking a breath between classes and going to the damn bathroom. And after the classes en the rest of the day and all the free time is preparing classes again, correcting works, having meetings and more meetings, searching for material, etc etc. And all of this with parents at home policing the classes so that the teacher don't say something that triggers the emotions ans sensitivity of they glorious son/daughter.

School boards ARE voted on. Here in Maryland though - they do not put the candidate's political affiliation on the ballots.

As some examples: "I have no respect for teachers who don't want to go to work" or as "this man has no respect for teachers who don't want to go to work" or as "this man has no respect for teachers who (understandably) don't want to go to work". If you could clarify your thought, it would be easier for those of us who read it to know which exactly is your intent. Not trying to be a jerk, just want clarity on your thought.
@@busterchops He means that he has no respect for teachers who push to keep schools closed, which they do, because they don't want to actually get dressed and go to work. The one's who use their "fear" as a mask for their desire to keep putting on zoom calls for two hours a day in their underwear and collecting full checks off the taxpayers dime. If they are compromised, or elderly, then there should be programs in place for them. If not, they should go back to work or forfeit their salary.

What I was referring to was the grammar/punctuation of the sentence, and not, I hope, in a judgmental way. I was not being rude but trying to get a clearer understanding of what they were saying. Far too often I see cases where someone writes something that can be taken two different (possibly opposite) ways and I think that, in order to do the commenter justice and respect, we should be certain of what they are saying before responding. I brought it up because I WANTED to know this person's opinion and cared about what they had to say. That is all, and I am sorry you found it to be so bothersome.

Canada here, Ontario to be exact.Our incompetent premier Doug Ford had the chance to open up schools as instructed by Chief Medical Doctor,table of scientists and majority of his government.Deleyed purposefully for three days to kill more time,only to say that schools are to remain shut for the rest of the school year.There were letters written to him from medical experts notifying him about increased hospital admissions in suicides and self - harm amongst children.If there is a God, Mr.Ford and I believe there is , you will pay for your crimes against our kids one way or another.

ESPECIALLY when it is forced on you not a personal choice. parents also have to work. if daycare & private schools have been just fine they can figure something out for the sake of these children. the amount of parents living paycheck to paycheck can’t hire fancy tutors. and even if they do that’s not abiding social distancing. if hundreds of people per day can touch stuff all through walmart school should be a priority to get back. states that have the loosest mask regulations have the lowest numbers. life has been derailed for everyone for a year now and feel free to waste your life but you’re “point” is irrelevant to the topic. not to mention these kids are going to be a year behind at the LEAST in their education because i do the homeschooling with my kids and it’s a literal joke. they have learned nothing. teachers don’t know how to navigate the websites most of the time. all children have regressed due to their education not being prioritized in any way. and what about all the children who’s only escape from a bad/abusive home life is school? kids who’s parents are detrimental to their mental health? kids who’s only full meal is the lunch provides? make it make sense. bc none of this adds up in a positive way.

Best 6 God damn months of my life and honestly covid was the peak of my life so far. You bring up a very good point!!! Not all parents with school aged children were unemployed during this "virus". My daughter and son-in-law both were employed at places that were considered "essential", so they were still working while the school's were shut down. It has not been easy for them through all this.

As soon as that Deputy followed the orders of that lady who is not in his chain of command, he stopped doing his job and started working for her at our expense.
He literally said that statistic say the virus is not a risk but said garbage men are risking their lives everyday smh.
