I used diesel oil for minor dirts and for heavy stains is metal brite.
that water was leaking when you checked the valves at the end right?
yes it is mate. it's usually normal since its reconditioned. it can be use still as long as its not excesive leaks. if it was excesive then you might want to reconsider lapping(grinding) again .
