But many CPUs (at least in laptops) do resist temperatures of 100C, the boiling point of water. I don't know about smartphone CPUs, but I guess they also do, since they also have to operate in very constrained cooling conditions. Maybe some still don't. I mean, if your CPU resists only up to 80C, you can make it shut itself down at 70C and you're safe... as long as there's no external heat. Would depend a lot on the CPU and again I don't know how high phone SoCs are rated.
zolikoff Dude, i am an automation engineer, i know what i am talking about. The soldering is done in a infrared oven. The process is very complex, but in a sense it mimics the way you'd cook a chicken. The elements (including the CPU) are held on the board by soldering paste which when placed in the oven melts from the heat and solders the components to the board. Check out some "pick and place assembly method" videos to see the details. The CPU crystal is usually mounted to a thermal conducting pad on the bottom of the chip which is soldered to the board where there are internal layers of copper to provide power and some cooling for the CPU itself. Having in mind the solder is in a melted state when the CPU is mounted and is in contact with that pad surely must mean the CPU crystal itself s within 98-99% of the solder's temperature. The cooling is needed for the CPU to actually function normally, because high temperatures causes false triggering inside the logic blocks, but that doesn't actually damage the chip. Read some documentation before blabbering bullshit in the comments!

The Galaxy won the actual challenge. It lasted way longer than the Apple. The point of the video was to see who would last longer. He's going off of what phone still works in the end. The Apple IS NOT WORKING. It will not turn on or function. So the Galaxy won. ✌👌
iPhone doesn't win the test because it broke before Samsung. The only reason Samsung broke was because the guy kept hitting it with a spoon. This doesn't mean that Apple won, had he not hit the Samsung, it would have lasted longer.
+AlexCH27 samsung is just as easy to use (i have had both phones btw), has pretty much the same appearance and now has a theme mode where you can make it have many different styles that are awesome and some are free, samsung has nice colors even though there isn't as many and a phone case pretty much covers up the colors, just because it is the first doesn't mean it is the best and the first apple phone isn't the best phone, and according to studies (and my experiences) the new samsung is faster than the new iphone. +AlexCH27 samsung is just as easy to use (i have had both phones btw), has pretty much the same appearance and now has a theme mode where you can make it have many different styles that are awesome and some are free, samsung has nice colors even though there isn't as many and a phone case pretty much covers up the colors, just because it is the first doesn't mean it is the best and the first apple phone isn't the best phone, and according to studies (and my experiences) the new samsung is faster than the new iphone. Also, yes, I agree that processor on that phone is amazing, A11 is great. But you can't even use it to its full potential. They add features, useless features that you will probably not use, and guess what. Today, the galaxy S6 Is 400 dollars. And the iPhone 6 is like 500-600.
