I was actually more curious on why they were acting like her helping him would have been different than anyone else doing so? Like ok she knew how to bake but he fell into a cake, what matters who helped him idk, get up and go home? On top of that, he ruined HER work … if there was one justified to not want to help its her and maybe the bride too 😅

The best way to help the dude would be to get a picture of him with the wedding cake smashed all over him, and the caption above it of "don't become this guy and what he was again" he'd remember what happened, and hopefully never repeat it. I'm incredibly close to my brother and if he pulled something like that, especially with ruining something as expensive as a wedding cake, i wouldn't rush to his side. The couple had to deal with him ruining their wedding and they need support, and in fact helping him would be an insult to them.
