The way they all do things to avoid Rachel getting angry shows that she is in control
I hope Rachel's husband drops an ultimatum on her to fix herself and stay away from them for a while or he's leaving and taking the kids. She's already neglected her kids and him at their house trying to unnecessarily assert dominance in her childhood home. She needs serious counseling yesterday.
That woman has that entire family walking on eggshells in a house she doesn't even live in!
If i were to judge id say that her parents & her brother have enabled her bad behaviour & spoiled her rotten for years & now theyre paying the price for never putting her in her place so now shes an absolute tyrant.
The mother excusing her outright bullying her sister in law for no good reason with "she doesnt like change" says all that it needs to. Poor op has barely stood up for herself & now the sil is trying to destroy her mentally & emotionally via nothing short of extreme, obsessive, manipulative, cruel means.
I hope they cut her off coz shes obviously a very bitter, jealous, toxic & controlling person who needs to learn she doesnt own anybody or anything coz she clearly is not going to learn that lesson while theyre all still pandering around her & making excuses for her.
Theyve been nothing but polite in telling her that shes over reacting, causing drama based on a villain shes created in her own mind who shes attacking constantly for no reason & shes refusing to see it so how else is she going to learn? Theyre better people than i am coz she'd have been unwelcomed then cut off completely after a week of that bs.
And the audacity of her! Trying to have the house sold off coz she wants her share of what she thinks shes owed as inheritance from under her own mother who is still living there & benefitting from the situation, is on another level.
What an abhorrent & vindictive woman, nothing but a spoiled, entitled bully!
Not even made it to the end of rhe story and im seething at the sheer thought of her!
Never knew 2 years difference between siblings is a "gap"😂
It’s a small age gap but still a gap
@@idkanymore1544by that logic so is the few minutes between twins
@@user-vm2vm2og9h sadly there are people that think that way, hence why there are so many twins that end up in really bad rivalries
@@user-vm2vm2og9h I am sorry I have to ask, but where is the issue? Is it about the word "gap"? Maybe I don't get it cause english is not my native language but a small gap is still a gap. So in my native language we would still say there is a gap between twins. For sure only seconds or minutes not years like between other siblings. But the word "gap" would still be fitting.
@@uwetheiss970no you are correct people are just weird, willing to bet thats an american, if it doesn't apply to them so it must not happen or exist.
Rachel cray cray af.
But why does Eileen have to live in the basement all of a sudden?
I’d say because it has easy access outside and a more level plan with some privacy as well for when there are crying babies.
I would have had the house valued & then gotten legal papers to buy the sister out of the house, then I would have changed the locks to the house. Mental health issues or not she’s just trying to make problems for the family & im surprised she didn’t get charged for knocking her mother over as that’s elder abuse mental health issues or not. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Only could do it if the mom agrees. Otherwise she’d just keep letting Rachel in and potentially will her part to Rachel, my dad and his sister own a house together and she’s basically pulled this same shit
How can you buy someone out of something they don't own?
The house belongs to the mother-in-law.
The mom is the only one who owns the house. The son was there to help with house n bills. Rachel was married and had her own house. She felt entitled bc she grew up there and her mom n dad owned it, but it's not hers or her bros. But mom was ok with bro moving in with wife to help her out.
@@peshivirginflower7 yes i understood that but eventually the mother would leave her property to them both & I was saying that he could buy the sisters part so in the end the house would be his & his mother could have this put in her will saying she has already received her share of the house & have a document legally signed by her & her mother witness by the mothers lawyer.
@@argates6507 his mother has a will & she will leave them the house so if he buys the sister out & the mother states this in the will when the mother does pass he will inherit the house
Please lose that video game background. It's so frenetic, it gives me both eye strain and a headache!
IK . It hurts to look at it
@@freyaMcPhilli i think both of your vision is just going
Just move for goodness’s sake!
Gotta be careful with those retired librarians. My mom’s pushing 80, and still won’t fully retire. She tried it for a year, then started working part time just for something to do.
OP keeps trying to be reasonable with Rachel. She’s a bully. By being reasonable, by compromising, you’re saying that there’s more suffering you’d accept before you rage-quit the whole thing. In her mind, there is no win-win scenario. For her to win, you must lose.
Knowing that, win. Win so hard she rage-quits instead. Get all ESPN announcer on her. Every little passive-aggressive thing she does, call it out and describe in detail how this fits into her broader strategy. Be sure to couch it “Yeah, abusers don’t start hitting you on day #1. First they establish themselves as sympathetic allies, then they’re just trying to be helpful, then they lose their temper for something that sort of makes sense, but they get way more pissed than appropriate, and once you’ve accepted all of that, once you engage with their manipulation like the thing they’re arguing for is the thing they really wanted (when, in fact, what she wants is the argument itself).
You’re a graphic designer, even. Google up abusive relationships. Find the escalation steps before violence happens. Print that poster-sized. Maybe put that on a metal backing, so you can get a red check mark magnet, so every time she takes another step, you can move the marker. And always ALWAYS announce to your MIL and husband, but not when Rachel can hear it, what Rachel’s next step will be.
ETA - Staying neutral always tacitly supports the status quo.
And if Rachel is saying that she doesn’t need therapy, you do… a) she’s admitting there’s a problem, and not just “Oh, I was just playing.” B) Tell her you’re also going to therapy, but it only works if she shows up to tell the therapist what’s bothering her. Ball’s in your court, Rachel.
The OP's sister in law needs some serious counseling for her mental health problems and her doctor should be persistent in reminding her to take her medication to keep her mental health under control for her own sake, let's hope that the OP and her husband can live a stress free life while preparing for their daughter's arrival and have a great time celebrating that milestone in their lives.
2:22 “…despite their 2 year age gap” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If she wants those pictures of her and her brother then she could have taken them pictures to her house.
There are a lot of crazies in these stories
Does it seem like the sister is in love with her brother? Like obsessed with him .
Yeah, it’s jealous in the same way a boy mom would.
OP is fishy. It is like she doesn’t really want to move out.
That woman is obviously not coping well with the fact that she can't be in her childhood home. Some people have that. She expressed before that her biggest dream always was to raise her children in that home. And that now that they are living there, that dream is threatened. Next update, OP tells that she is pregnant and literally living SIL's dream: raising her child in that childhood home. I mean..; anyone would react badly to that. Sorry to break it to you. OP is not wrong, but SIL isn't either. She's trying to cope with loosing her childhood and it's hitting her hard. Seeing someone else live that dream is not easy. Especially if it was an important dream that never got fulfilled.
This gameplay is horrendous
Told mine that they could get money and gave them my loose change
Dam... I'm here pretty soon.
When somebody is being neutral in a toxic conflict, then you need not feel guilty about "abandoning" her.
When somebody is causing trouble at your work, involve the police. Sue. Seek a restraining order.
This story is not worth 2 minutes, let alone 20 minutes of useless ranting.
Lol
Told my in-laws to piss off and sued them and wone
My neighbour renovated their double storey into two separate apartments upstairs and ground floor, additional stairs outside to the upstairs apartment for their son and his family. Seems like a very clever arrangement in a super expensive neighborhood despite being regular folks.
I thought Eileen was living downstairs and you upstairs. Now you’re converting the basement into an apartment for her? So you moved mom to the basement and you took over her house?
They are still living upstairs I assume, but because of the baby, Eileen will probably hear her crying into the middle of the night and wake up. You’d be able to hear a baby from downstairs, but basements tend to have thicker walls.
Quit trying to spin in every jump its disorientating
In the end of the story, they are moving Eileen to the basement And refusing to let Rachel moving in to the family house
Rachel is not in the wrong her actions are wrong completely, but they did take over her family house and they are pushing out her mother
they still live in the family house because it’s rent free and their contribution is absurd. Doesn’t give them ownership over the house.
ik , its kinda difficult to take sides
Wow that girl is really dumb
also do you know how I could do my own Reddit vid because I have a big 1
Edit (sorry if that seemed rude when I asked about the vid )
Edit 2 ( can you please post again please we wanna know how the baby’s doing)
Rachel's actions might be wrong, but I could see where she is coming from, she is not wrong.
Op thinks she can take over the house by just contributing in household expenses? Which are mainly because of you 2. (how much can a old lady expend anyway)
Its Clyde home to, and was making his own decision
It’s not rachel’s house lmao ? She doesn’t get to choose who lives in there. Nobody is "taking over" when everything was planned 💀
It’s their part of the house, i think they’re pretty entitled to make changes
First! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
