Okay, but Billie's naughty face like he's been caught doing something he shouldn't at 9:44 is just...

Crazy to think that Kurt Cobain was still alive at the time of this broadcast...
Green Day and Nirvana don't feel like they were big at the same time.

I thought the same thing when I saw Courtney's intro. In less than a month, she'd be a widow. It's kinda chilling to be reminded that your world can be flipped upside down at any moment.

I was thinking the same thing. To be fair this was right at the start for Green Day, they didn't get huge till the summer, but Nirvana was huge for a couple of years after Kurt died, so it was the same time....
Wanna know a crazy fact? Green Day played Seattle on April 5th 1994. The venue was about a mile and a half from Kurt's house. Insane, but true.

This is an awesome bit of interview footage from a great time for the band. It's impressive how tedious shooting for TV is.

They played all the songs multiple times apparently, but only one recording of them was aired

Wow, Green Day plus all of the mid-90s artists mentioned and that you hear during the bumpers, it's like my record collection come to life. Amazing.
