If this was ever remade, I feel this scene would have been improved by having the lyrics play after Jun got control of the armor., to show the triumph of man over the beast.
This OVA is kind of short and confusing but man nothing beats the combo of metal music and mecha battles. Feel like it could be a first episode of a rad as hell series.
I want to see more of Koichi Ohata's anime like this,he revolutionized the robotic mecha anime's and he created the best mecha anime ever made .Total kick ass! lol
Wanna know a piece of Trivia, Koichi Ohata did some monster design work for Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto ( Big Bad BeetleBorgs/ Metalix) and Chouriki Sentai Ohranger( Power Rangers Zeo)
Sadly, work is work, and if you don't make it as a big success the first time you will find yourself handling other things you probably wouldn't want to. At least he's still around, but I wanna see him back at the helm of directing again, fuck what the critics say, in today's world of anime the man would probably produce a breath of fresh air.

Here's what i like to think (even though none of what i think is true) Even though this came out before Genocyber, I like to think that is the planet LONG after the Genocyber rampage. The seeds of hate sewn were the cults hope of bringing the Genocyber back, though over time, the name and form changed. But rather than vajra and rage, the new metal god is birthed from astanite and the human desire to do good, despite evil. This comes full circle when the antagonistic shows he's willing to reconstruct his version of the Genocyber from technology, only to have hope triumph in the end. Just feels a lot better than Genocyber's ending.

Buy the English Dub VHS that US manga corps released. VHS tapes are cheap and easy to find.

this should have a cgi remake
