Kris is dead. He was nice guy. He slipped from another exit point being not ready. I can't tell you he made BASE jumping mistake. He promised me, he is going to finish his BASE activity starting kitesurfing. He broke his promise. Now he is dead. It's sad.
Man what a shame.. it's frustrating that it was such a preventable death, no he shouldn't of continued base jumping but more than that is that he shouldn't of been gearing up so close to the edge.. that's sad man, he didn't have a chance, (*edit, nvm it sounds like it was quick luckily), poor guy. Erm no, there really is a better way...it's called doing it properly. This is quite possibly the worst way to "learn" WS BASE - as you can see by the way he front risers himself into a cliff face and nearly dies.
@@bcrides6717 sort of true. He slipped and fell whilst kitting up, rather than in flight. Sad really, apparently he'd gotten much better at flying his suit.

Good story telling. Video criticizes the jumper heavily for bad desicions, along with anticipation that something bad happens. In the end, it was actually the jumper himself and it turns out he actually learned his lesson. It's a nice twist. If it was clear that jumper told the story, it would have been easy to realize from the beginning that he has learned since the first jumps.
@@vilhokivihalme9878 He hasn't learned his lesson at all though - he thinks he has due to the Dunning Kruger effect, yet instead of learning to fly his suit properly in a safer skydiving environment after smashing himself to pieces on the talus he instead buys a bigger suit and continues to proxy fly it like a brick, in other words a lesson not learned.
IF this dude had 210 skydives he could start wingsuit only after 200 skydives so max 10 wingsuit jumps from plane or in his dropzone noone gives two fucks about safty and he started wingsuit at 50 jumps. Why the hell he did wingsuit base without serious wingsuit experience
Chris needs to find some WS and BASE friends. Then LISTEN to them. His DIY attitude, poor WS technique and high tolerance for risk will not end well. The title of the vid is entirely appropriate, perceptive perhaps.
Well i made the comment about 1/2 way though and then watched to the end. Thankfully he found some friends. Friends tell friends what they sometimes don't want to hear. In addition adventures are much more fun when shared.
After seeing this idiot, survive five jumps with no experience whatsoever, could give people a false impression on their odds of surviving.
