Roger, I understand your point but, more accurately, she turned into Nancy in singing the first two bars. Her opening bars of ALAHNM were the highlight of the whole of the IDA competition for me.
I still don't understand why she gave up singing and went into dull drama. It's almost as if something had gone wrong with her voice and she had to give up.
She is also a very serious and wonderful actor - going to RADA after the musicals and what a trajectory since then! So many films and projects, including Wild Rose and an Oscar nomination for The Lost Daughter - and in June she will release For All the Days That Tear the Heart - if The Eagle and the Dove is any indication it will be stunning. What a phenomenon she is,
Dull dramatic??? I didn't even know who she was but was compelled to find out from the goose pimples after her performance in Taboo. My god she will have an Oscar or Bafta by next year
And now she'll be the star of Cabaret.
Wow! I'm sat here with actual tears in my eyes. That performance of Send In The Clowns was heart-breakingly beautiful.
Her singing and acting are developing beautifully. She is becoming a new Judy Garland!
Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for uploading the vids.
These were the best performances. She looks stunning.. loving the hair!
Jessie Buckley!
She has developed awesomely!
