Magic Kingdom's BEST Underrated Restaurant -- The Plaza Restaurant

- You've probably walked past it many times during your Magic Kingdom days - but have you ever stopped in the Plaza Restaurant? It's a quaint little spot at the end of Main Street USA, and it may just be the most underrated place to eat in the park. Molly is headed there for a full review to see if this is somewhere you should visit during your next trip!

Mad props to the man who did that excellent u-turn at about 0.31, in his ECV, right behind Molly. That was one sharp corner turn! Also, lunch at the Plaza is great for people watching and parade watching if you time it just right. 🙂

The last time we were there I was EUPHORICALLY enjoying the Monte Christo while a kid to my left ordered the $32.00 mountain of ice cream called “Cheers to 50 years.” The kid ate about 3 bites of this massive desert - total waste - while another kid, about 8 yo, to my left, watched the non eating kid’s every move. The non eating kid got up to leave after the 3 bites, & the 8 yo yelled @ the top of his lungs “IS THAT ALL YOUR GONNA EAT?” the non eater’s mom said you’re welcome to it! I kid you not before the 8 yo’s mom could stop him that kid sprinted the five feet & started scarfing down the untouched ice cream. Respect the ice cream mountain if you order it and EAT IT or beware !! 😃😃
My favorite part of this video… Watching the masses scramble as from the rain… As Molly sits peacefully and needs an ice cream sundae
If I can’t sleep at least I can watch all ears early for once! Midnight here in Australia, thanks for keeping me company while I’m with my daughter in hospital. Our Disney count down is going so fasssttt!!!!
Hope your daughters ok. Fellow Aussie here watching at nearly 10:30 at night. All ears and DFB are my go to Chanels to relax me and help me sleep.

I LOVE the Plaza for breakfast. It’s so nice and calm in the morning and a relaxing to start to a very busy day. I hope they open it back up for breakfast soon!

The Plaza is amongst our favorites in Magic Kingdom! We have a couple family members with food allergies, and The Plaza has one of the best allergy chefs on Disney property (Chef Ken). He’s ultra accommodating and will go the extra mile. Our family makes it a point to reserve The Plaza every trip. Definitely recommended.
I looove this place! So small and quaint with a delicious monte cristo!
O-O It is seriously LOUD in there! The Reuben looked yummy. Now I am craving one.
We love this restaurant when we visit Magic Kingdom. I always get the peanut butter and jelly shake with my meal.
I was planning on going to the Plaza during my September trip JUST FOR the Monty Cristo…. So I am VERY sad it is gone😢 But those loaded fries and ice cream may still be reason enough to try and get a reservation!
I also did NOT know the citizens of Main Street used to go in and interact with guests, that also would have made me obsessed with this restaurant! I hope they come back!!!

The Plaza is one of our favorites! They used to have a short lived lobster fried green tomato dish that was so awesome! Great turkey club in previous menus along with a strawberry salad that was so good. Looks like a new menu now but it looks good as well! Those loaded fries look so yummy! It's always been great food!
Please leave the pop-ups on the screen longer! I love this channel but I constantly have to rewind to be able to read the hilarious pop-ups.

As a picky eater I appreciate the simple menu for lunch at the Plaza. I thought it was small but a cute environment!
Nice to see the Plaza review. It’s been a really long time since I’ve eaten there but I do remember the Mayor of Main Street coming in and talking to everyone 😊 lots of fun and yummy food. Nothing fancy but someone’s at Disney that’s a nice treat 😋… and Reuben’s are my favorite sandwich 🥪 ever 🤣🤣🤣

I love the plaza, that rueben would make a legit NJ diner menu. I think this was the Friday torrential downpour I ran into Molly at the Resort Monorail ramp.
Are there for the first time on my last trip and had a blast! Food was great and the service was awesome.

I'd be interested in a dining review at Narcoossee's. Haven't been there in quite a few years. It was delicious but curious if its still good. Have never eaten at that Plaza but looked great! Have to try it in our next trip! 😊

3 of the 4 of us ordered the BLT salad and it was incredible!! We were so full we couldn't eat dessert. The air conditioning was nice too:)

I enjoyed this restaurant on my last trip. If you can time it right, you could step out the restaurant and watch the fireworks while you wait on your food. That's what a family next to me did.
Now I know why I like you so much. Mashed potatoes are my last meal food. I judge every place I eat by the quality of those babies ❤️❤️

Oh don’t do it!! Tony’s is terrible. Trust me. It’s like the worst Olive Garden experience you’ve ever had at 3x the price. I think they did a review of it a while ago if you dig for it, but truly; stay away from Tony’s 🤢😂

I was just there and had the BLT salad and it was really good and pretty big! It has a fabulous dressing on it.
I’ve sat at those striped tables out front about a thousand times and somehow never noticed there was a restaurant there. I will be running for that plant based bread pudding the next time I’m at MK.

Plaza restaurant became our favorite at Magic Kingdom after we discovered the Plaza burger (bbq brisket on a great burger) on menu you showed it doesnt look like they have that burger now 😟. Also loved the over the top milk shakes specials they have sometimes.
I want to eat here the next time at MK.

The Plaza at Disneyland is also fantastic and a really great character breakfast... More restaurants to review? How about Trails End? Haven't seen that one in a while. Maybe Molly and Quincy on a Segway afterwards?
Does The Plaza take as long as a typical Table Service meal (1-1.5 hours) or can you get food and get out quickly?

We used to love Plaza and always go there when we come to Disneyworld. Last year they change the menu and took off my plaza club and my husband's Angus Burger. I wish they would bring those items back so we can go back. I am very picky eater and the only thing I see I would eat is the Chicken Sandwhich and I am having Chicken other places when we come back in December. I dont want to eat chicken all the time.
We had mashed potatoes for dinner last night! As the main course! Cheese and bacon bits mixed in broccoli on the side, so basically a baked potato right?

Wow, it was loud in there!
Has been a few years since we dined there. Had ADRs for lunch. One of the worst meals ever. We had their burgers. So greasy, you couldn't pick up the bottom of the bun (soaked in grease). Would have sent them back, but the service was very slow and we needed to leave the park in 30 minutes to get to the airport and were worried we wouldn't be done. We complained to the manager about the service and food - nothing. One and done.
Went to the Plaza in August 2019 on the evening when there was a horrendous downpour almost closing the underpass on the road into MK bus station. We were not impressed. Our reservation was late, because people were going slow to keep out of the rain, and ended being seated on the end of someone else’s table. Food wasn’t memorable unlike the lack of bathrooms which was annoying. Daughters had to go outside to Tomorrowland Terrace to find a bathroom. I’m not a Tony’s fan, unlike my family, but would still rather go there than The Plaza.
Was there a cheesesteak sandwich there? It was so good, and I was going to have it in October when we go.
Does it rain around that time of day in December as well?

They used to have a DELISH Philly cheesesteak. Bummer that's gone.
I was just looking for that cheesesteak because I planned to have it on my birthday. I guess that’s my fault for getting attached to anything at Disney. 😂
We went in December 2021 and it was a major letdown. First, we waited 45 minutes for a table after checking in for our reservation. There was no where for us to sit during the wait, so we were stuck sitting on the curb in the heat with the promise of “just a few minutes.” Because we had checked in and were told it would be soon, we wasted all that time waiting instead of trying to do another ride. When we finally got seated, the service and food was lackluster. We did the monte cristo and the chili veggie burger which came to about $40. I’ve had better food and service at Applebee’s for half the price. All in all, a waste of money and precious park time. Well stick to counter service in Magic Kingdom from now on. After our trip, I got an email from Disney asking to do a survey. It was all questions about why we ate at counter service and asking us to rate our experiences at those counter service locations. The kicker was that none of the questions asked me to rate my experience with table service! If they had, the reason we stick to counter service would be abundantly clear

My mom saw a delicious baked cheese appetizer that came in a square dish and was bubbling as they brought it out to you. It was mentioned in one of the Disney lounges but can't remember where it was... someone please help!

I just booked a $10,000 trip metaphorically and literally (plan was for 1pm on the Tuesday, after Barnstormer but before Buzz) centered around me eating that sandwich and it’s gone? Does Mickey know? How can we get it back?
I realise I'm in the minority but I've never understood the love for the Plaza. It's tiny and you are really close to your neighbours, the menu is limited and mainly fried and it's so very very noisy. The food is OK but very overpriced for what are basics. It seems popular with bloggers but that doesn't mean it's worth it.
