I hit the jackpot. I knew this threesome was going to be at Tony's yesterday and also knew we'd be at MK till about 1.....so.....I looked for these folks and BINGO!!!!!! There they were on the patio! I could see they were mostly done eating, so I went up to their table and introduced myself. Talk about a Magical Moment! I was mesmerized, captivated, in awe, almost speechless! After having watched Ryno and Craig for years,cand Hannah more recently, my wishes came true. 3 genuinely lovely people. Thanks for making my day, my week, my month, my year!!!!!
I know this has been said before, but Hannah is an amazing addition to the team. You all gel together so well!

I love the food reviews! One thing I would like to see is you guys holding/eating the food. The pictures don’t give a good idea of the size of the portions. When it came to the bread it looked really small because we didn’t see you guys holding or eating it. Just an idea! Great work!

Ryno was spot on with watching the table next to them lol. One of my favorite hints at Disney is observing how other people are tailoring their experience to the best of their liking. I guess it’s why I also enjoy dining reviews like this, picking up some good ideas and suggestions you guys make

Nice area to sit for us, but the food is just not an attractive option for us to ever bother with. Appreciate you continuing to revisit spots to review because it truly does help folks plan.
This is the type of review that got me originally hooked on the channel back in late 2015! Please keep doing these kind of reviews. Granted, bashing on Tony's is one of my guilty pleasures, but I really enjoyed the take on the food and whether it would be something I'd like to do when we go to WDW in a couple of months. Maybe one day Tony's and Pizza Rizzo will be amazing! Until then, I can just rewatch reviews like this. Great job and take care!

I have never had a great meal there, but typical Italian in the mid-range quality. I liked the Caprese salad that you mentioned.
This seems like the perfect place I would want to get a beer and a snack in the Magic Kingdom without having to go off property. Love your food reviews. A great heads up!

I enjoyed your review. I would book Tonys for the parade viewing. I have only dined there once in 2007 with my son who loves pasta dishes . I had the lasagna then and it was good. Also if they included side salads with the entrees it would seem a better value. The porch seating would be nice for people watching. We have always gone to crystal palace and liberty tree because of the unlimited portions with our two sons. I would try it again on future trips. Thanks for bringing us updates on table service . Hannah futs in with you two with her great sense of humor. Your team is the best!
All of this comes from Sysco. The canolli are probably frozen. If they were filling per order the shells would not feel soggy
You guys should reach out to Sysco and interview someone in the Sysco WDW team. The quantity and diversity of what they deliver is mind boggling. From the finest hand cut steaks to the bathroom floor cleaning solutions.
We plan to revisit Tony's on our upcoming trip in March. At your recommendations, i will go heavy on the appetizers

They never could get their act together at Tony's, huh? You guys have been giving them opportunities for over a decade. They just don't care.
Disney's Red Sauce is disgusting 😫 ...as an Italian New Yorker, I just can't force myself to like something worse than a jar sauce.
I found the Tiramisu there the only redeeming item, but even still, I won't eat there, or Mama Melrose or any Italian meals there
your forgot Trattoria al Forno...awful Italian...no excuse.

Great review. I have eaten at Tony’s. The only thing my husband and I enjoyed there was the view. Food not so much. 😊
I quite agree. Nice place for apps and cocktails while watching the parade. I'm part Italian and am very picky with my Italian food, lol
Cannoli shells should not be soft but more of a harder crunchy consistency.

They can look around when they go to the tiniest bathroom. Outside with a castle view ? Are you a locals only show? That view is freaking awesome.
I loved eating those ravioli right out of the can. Which is sad given that I grew up 1 mile for the North Emd. Visiting home from Houston we chow our way around ….. Carmelina’s and Humberto’s in the North End, Hookies for a Lobsta Roll, Chowda from the Yee Olde, Italian Sub from Mama Leon’s in Somerville, pints at the druid, the plow & stars and if Liverpool is playing Phoenix Landing….. all in Cambridge.

Tony’s used to serve a pistachio crème brûlée that was amazing. Too bad they removed it from the menu. Ryno would have been in love
I ate there at least 20 years ago with my two kids. At that time it was always getting bad reviews but my kids loved it so it was a win. I forget what I got but it was good. Anything outstanding I never forget. They were 11 and 13 and he was a fussy eater.
Always enjoy the reviews, sometimes it’s hard to understand the size of the food. So many items look tiny and you say they were huge… like the mozzarella sticks. That tart looked bite sized until you picked it up!
So I have never eaten at Tony's Town square yes I am Italian and I'm from New York so that's probably why I do avoid this restaurant. However they have been revamping the menu for the appetizers but they still need to fix the actual main dishes and start simply with the sauce this is such a great place it looks beautiful it's right out of lady in the tramp but it is lacking with the there's a great opportunity here but they're just not taking advantage of it like our beloved Pizza Rizzo lol.. to me it's just a lost opportunity. Disney food is expensive so for me I'd rather eat Italian food outside of the park or within Disney springs.
We ate there last week for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Quite nice for the Magic Kingdom, give it a shot.

We got two new menu items and the chicken parm. The service was very good and everything was delicious, especially the braised short rib and the tiramisu Canoli
We talked about the short rib with the server but she actually didn't recommend it. I'll only paraphrase but I believe she said guests seemed to enjoy it but she found it to be weird. Hence, we didn't try it.
@DISUnlimited you should give it a second chance. The presentation could have been better, but everything was delicious. The pepperoni sauce and little crispy pepperonis on top made it very flavorful! The server shouldn't have said it was weird, that'll really turn people off. Next time ask for Michael, he had excellent suggestions and was very engaging.
Craig, You’d see me walking around wondering how my 2 year old lost his shoes 5 minutes into the first day of our vacation. 🤣

Those prices aren’t bad considering location and ability to take an afternoon break for decent food. We avoided it for 10 plus years because it was so bad tried again a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised that it was fine, not great, but fine.

Can your team try and review the dining plan as a group?
We may at some point but it's not really something to review. It's a numbers game. Look at the restaurants you want to eat at and price out the items. If you would spend more than the dining plan costs then it's a good deal and if you spend less then you have the convenience of pre-paying but you got ripped off.

I think I know what flavor element Hannah is missing in the caprese…. Every caprese I’ve ever had except at Disney has balsamic on it! Why does Disney not?
We were there Nov 2023. Thought is was overall a solid sit down in park meal. And then we watched the parade from the porch. We didn’t get desert (agree with hannah) and only had beer / wine not cocktails.
Hannah is awesome. Need more of her non-a$$ kissing Disney commentary. In all my years of going to WDW, I have bought one mixed drink. After that debacle, it has been beer since. Mixed drinks and cocktails are rarely worth what you pay for them.
So true. Very little alcohol in any of their cocktails.
I'm not sure where you're going but the bartenders my husband and I encounter sure give us our money's worth! But this is admittedly at resort restaurants, pool bars, and Disney Springs...
After my trip to WDW and getting a range of cocktails, I learned that you really need to mix them once they’re given to you. Often they would be so light on top and I’d think they’re “fine”, and then I’d get hit with all the alcohol at the bottom and then become tipsy!
When vacationing at Disney I always have a Banana Cabana poolside at The French Quarter while I write postcards and wait for my laundry to be done. If only every laundry load could be this way! LaurieO

I've always really like that restaurant
I’ve always liked Toney’s. The fet. Alfredo is really good. I also like their chicken parm. This is a classic restaurant due to its atmosphere.

I remember when the food was good but it was in the late 90s. I ordered chicken parm and got a frozen puck which was microwaved. Horrible.
We tried this last time we went to wdw. The alfredo was good. The chicken parm was good. I actually hated the spaghetti. Which was such a shame. I wanted that lady and the tramp spaghetti so bad but nope! It's fine if it's all you can get. There is some decent enough stuff there. But I totally agree with the mid ratings.

I feel like this restaurant - and I get it's a polarizing one - has been reviewed by the Dis countless times. With the last time not so long ago. There are so many restaurants that have either never been reviewed or not for a very long time. Anyway...Craig, you're 1000% correct about chicken Parm. It MUST be pounded thin.
The reasons we revisited this one was: 1) a review here without the old guard and 2) the appetizers that people have been raving about. There are a few more table service that we are looking to re-review that we did in 2023 because of menu changes, but for the most part, we will continue to focus on ones we haven't done in 2024.
DH and I have eaten her a few times an enjoyed it.

All the disney blogs/websites give Tony’s flack, but my girlfriend and I do it every time in Magic Kingdom and watch the parade and we have an amazing experience

In the 1980s I believe my parents would take us here and I have never gone as adult. I find it tough to want Italian at Disney when I can go to much nicer places in my hometown. It is same as with Chinese and not wanting to go to nine dragons
I don’t think ‘discussing’ your unique value perspective helps the viewers. $16/$17 is a closer to a standard cocktail price outside the parks then the $6 bottle of water.
But Disney cocktails are small and weak so the value is not there. Any $17 cocktail outside Disney is much better.

guys you're confusing.....you go to a mid-level restr in a park. You get the dinner that you ordered, say it's good, then go on to tell how you think the dish should be. Review the dish as is, not what it is somewhere else or what it could be. Tony's is either bad, good or great............never been great. It does seem better the last year, more in the good range.
You seemed to overall like it as a "good" restaurant and then give it low marks, but enjoyed it enough to go back? I don't get it...............checking pricing at every Italian restr at a Disney park or hotel or springs, these pasta prices are some of the lower prices. The caprese salad is the least expensive of all the Italian restr's at Disney. Pasta even at a mediocre Italian restr now a days is in the 20-30 dollar range. And you're at Disney!! You say prime real estate and then say it's not the best location. All over the board. Like you guys but sometimes you confuse the hell out of me.
