    My daughter and I just got back from a short trip to Disney Springs to celebrate her college graduation . One late afternoon we took a Lyft to Wilderness Lodge to eat at Geyser Point , the pool bar at Wilderness Lodge. The roasted salmon salad was amazing! We then took the boat to MK, walked to the Contemporary and had drinks at The Outer Rim Lounge. We continued on the monorail to The Grand Floridian Enchanted Rose bar (beautiful but too expensive) then walked to the Polynesian to watch the fireworks , eat pulled pork nachos , and have a Krakatoa punch at Trader Sam's. Such a fun evening and we had no issue getting seats anywhere. There are a lot of gems to discover!

    Earl of sandwich has decent selections at Disney springs. $8 for a good sandwich. Fountain drink is $3 but free refills. It’s our go to place. “The Original” my favorite sandwich on the menu. Roast beef, cheese, mild horseradish sauce on heated bread. Yes please.

      Another good Disney Springs restaurant is D-Luxe burger. The sauces that can go on the burgers and fries are sooooo good. The Garlic Truffle Aioli… 🤤 It will bring a tear to your eye.

Figured I'd give you a heads up just in case other people may also try to use it. It does look like you can just go directly through the WDW website to book it just like any other restaurant reservation though.

    Good recommendations, but can someone tell me why a lot of the Disney World restaurants are so freakin’ freezing? We went to Sanaa, but were so cold that it was hard to enjoy anything. Thankfully, we were staying at kidani, and could run to get our son a blanket. He was too cold to eat!
    And the Brown Derby was freezing too. And Skipper’s Cantina…please explain 😩

    • @elisabeth2166
      @elisabeth2166 2 года назад

      This is just a guess since I never worked at Disney, but speaking as a former waitress, usually when restaurants are super cold, it's for the comfort of the staff. Between running around the dining room and in and out of the kitchen, restaurant staff heat up very quickly and nobody wants a sweaty server. Unfortunately since diners aren't running around cooking or serving tables, the comfortable temperature for staff can feel freezing to guests, especially in a place like Florida or Southern California where you've just been running around in the hot sun and now you're getting blasted by arctic winds.

    • @karinrankin5871
      @karinrankin5871 2 года назад

      I assumed it was something like that, but I am so confused as to why it was so much worse in FL than in CA. It is colder than any restaurant I’ve get been in, anywhere. Is it humidity? I live in NM, so I understand heat (110 in June), but it’s a dry heat.

    • @elisabeth2166
      @elisabeth2166 2 года назад +1

      @@karinrankin5871 I think it might be! When I worked up in Boston we got tons of complaints about the AC in the summer and I would definitely notice how cold it was coming into work for dinner shift or coming back from a break, so that humidity leaving a sheen of moisture on the skin that quickly cools almost certainly contributes. Edit: You aren't being dramatic. Different people have different thresholds for temperature extremes. One person's relief is another person's bucket of ice water.

    Disney has become a joke. Not being mean. Back in the day. It was a escape from all. A magical place where nothing from the outside world could touch you.
    Now it’s political and polluted
    Let’s not forget it’s not for everyone anymore. Only those who save for years and years. Example my neighbor wanted to take his kids and stay there. Nothing crazy. A nice room and 4 days.
    $28K.
    Even Walt himself would walk away
    You took a man’s dream and destroyed it
