Just HAVE to share our Brown Derby story. My mom and I are huge I Love Lucy fans, our favorite specifically is when they go to the Brown Derby. She passed a few years back, so I really wanted to go with my husband on a recent trip to honor her and I’s countless time watching that show. Unfortunately we couldn’t nab a reservation, even day of with the walk up waitlist. Half way through our day my husband said he was ‘going to the bathroom’ he came back and said ‘they are moving stuff around and will seat us at the Brown Derby in 10’. Thanks to my awesome husband and CM magic they got me in❤️
in 2005 i went to the brown derby with daughter 2 grandkids and son in law we were not dressed good enough i think thats why we were ignored before getting all the way in we were in thelobby i think a reservation was needed too we left it was a 20k week in floridaat tourist places we ate in kissi mee aligator tail 5 times that week stayed at gatorland hotel feeding the peacocks our fries it was a fun week at a waterpark i saw a coworker from frankfort i had not seen in 5 years but heard his voice then yelled he recognized me mhe was different in swimtrunks no shirt he said have to go 1500 miles to sa guy that lives in town freaky saw a russian or east european woman tiny bikini but super hairy thought she had sweat pants on her tiny bikini was disturbing like she had a big animal in her bikini it was not contained after sold my apartment buiding in orland park il i think i might go to victoria and alberts instead next time
For some reason the bread and butter here just hits different. It is VERY hard for me not to fill up on it each time i come here !!! My favorite thing is to eat here and attempt to trigger the 120 minute rule. This way you can sit and enjoy the beautiful restaurant and good food while the park is packed and wait times are high.
Brown Derby is the ultimate way to treat yourself on a Hollywood Studios day. I haven’t been since I was a kid, but that’s going to change on my next trip! Watching your video brought on flashbacks of sitting in one of those rounded booths with my parents, playing with a kids menu themed after Disney’s One Saturday Morning, and eating the amazing bread that was served with butter wrapped in theme park specific gold wrapping 🤣.
We LOVE the Brown Derby! It’s always a must do and the only restaurant where I’ll get a dessert in the park (always the grapefruit cake!) we have NEVER been disappointed there with any item
Hi Molly, my family postponed our Spring Break 2020 trip due to the thing. But we finally got to go last week. From spring 2020 to spring 2022 we watched a ton of RUclips WDW prep content, and over time you and AllEars became a strong favorite. Our 9 year old predicted we'd see a WDW RUclips content producer while on our trip. And sure enough, we clocked you in the lobby of the Brown Derby, likely on the day this was shot. Our kids were super psyched. We heard the hostess say "We've got a Molly table!". We originally had a reservation at Sci-Fi Cafe, but we canceled it because none of us were hungry (because carrot cake cookie). We got 4 cobb salads and 2 kids meals, which was surely cheaper than Sci-Fi. Thanks for the knowledge!
We had dinner there on the patio a couple of weeks ago!! It was a last minute”walk up” reservation, the weather was perfect! I had the scallops and asparagus as my meal and it was delicious! My husband had the Cobb salad! We were not disappointed!! 😎

Always mean to go there and try the Cobb on one of my trips, but never do… Maybe on my next trip this June, and I think we’re gonna have to throw in that soup too, now that I’ve seen this lol
We ate at the Hollywood Brown Derby 3 weeks ago. While the food was good, the portions were tiny, and the service was terrible. We cancelled additional signature dining reservations for later in the week because of the experience. When we let Disney know, they didn’t seem to care. You can get far better meals at other locations and not waste 3 hours of your Hollywood Studios day at an overhyped restaurant.
I had been going to Disney for 30 years but 10 years ago I said never again and I'm giving Disney another shot after 10 years, and trying to get reservations and the new price of hotels and Genie+ and park reservations, I can afford all of of it but do I want to? I don't want to plan every minute of my vacation, I want to go with the flow which doesn't seem possible at Disney World.
So sad to see the “signature” burger has disappeared. We wanted this after the 10-miler last weekend and it was gone. We had the chicken. It was just ok.

I thought I saw in previous video that you could get kid portion/ small portion of the famous Cobb salad. Is that correct?
In the past, you could get a half portion of the Cobb salad in the lounge. It appears as though smaller portion is no longer on lounge menu.
