    This is a game where the Steelers massively beat themselves...
    If I were to be honest from what I saw watching this game yesterday, Justin Fields brought them back into the game by himself...
    This was a game where he showed growth, and its painful he also beat himself in the heroic effort.

    Fields was good, the team wasn’t prepared at all it seemed like they didn’t even know the game was that day. Injuries absolutely crushing as well, the O line we spent so much on has gone to shit due to injuries over half of our line is out for the season. Warren and Roman Wilson Alex highsmith, we gonna need to force the ball with the pass because rn we can’t even run the ball cause of this o line and the practice squad guys out there, naj could only get 1 ypc against the worse run defense like what, gonna need field to sling it for us to win from now on. Also defense was absolutely horrible idek what to say

  • @joelmallison
    @joelmallison Месяц назад +16

    Sadly, if he doesn't slip on that scramble, he probably gets major yards on the ground or via a pass. He had those guys badly beaten, but he slipped on the turf, which is not terribly common for him. After that, though, you can't put the ball on the ground.

    I'm no expert but on the bad snap the LG is looking back at Fields as the ball is snapped. In postgame interviews Frazier said he felt the guard tap him and snapped it. It seems like whatever went wrong happened there. Important to note James Daniels the RG went out with injury earlier in the game and was the one who normally took the responsibility of communicating with the QB.

    That bad snap is 100% on the center. The Left Guard is still looking back at Fields and hasn't turned to face the defense yet. When the Guard sees Fields step forward he turns to the defense and taps the center to let him know Fields is ready. The Steelers O-Line has operated like that for years. I have no clue why the Center snapped that ball.

    You have to imagine what this game would’ve been like without the 3 crucial mistakes on offense, or if the defense made a stop on one of the many Colts’ scoring drives. While I expected the loss (even when the majority of the fans didn’t), I think this game proved that the Steelers have the potential and the capability to win with offense, even if the defense is playing subpar. This is a wakeup call for Tomlin to trust Fields’ playmaking ability. They better be glad that the only team in the division that looks competitive (record-wise) is Baltimore.

    These losses crush me. I think that it shows the issue with having a defense first mentality, defense cant score points consistently and will always have one or two games where they just cant adjust in time. I think we will do fine the rest of the year but it really puts a toll on me. I wanted Fields to be up with Bradshaw and Ben in the 4-0 start category. Honestly heartbroken.

    It was a silent snap. The LG is watching JF. The signal is the foot stomp. Then the LG taps the C. The C snaps the ball. For some odd reason JF gives the signal as the offense is finishing setting up. I think JF is to blame. In which case he had a mental lapse. If the count was on 2 then the LG made the mistake. Either way this will get fixed. Now we know what Fields can do. This game will lead to progress.

    All the comments here supporting Fields are what Bears fans said for 3 years, until they got tired of seeing him fill the stat sheet with everything but wins. Make Fields a RB because that's the only thing he does consistently well. Yes, he's an average passer, but it comes in spurts and he makes dumb decisions/mistakes to counter anything good that he's done.

    If Roman Wilson doesn't play against the Cowboys then Tomlin should answer for that since they HAVE NO #2 receiver!! Van Jefferson is non-existent and CA19 is too small to be the #2 in an Aurthur Smith offense. If Roman Wilson doesn't ball out they need to try and get DHOP from the Titans as a year by year rental! The o-line needs time to gell but I think they have all of the traits to be an elite unit if they can stay healthy. This is where the HIGHEST PAID DEFENSE IN THE NFL NEEDS TO STEP UP THERE GAME!!! Crappiest tackling I have EVER seen from a Steelers defense especially the Middle Linebackers (all of them - Roberts at least has a big hit from time to time)!! The RAMS DEFENSE was flying around and being extremely physical like they wanted to show the NFL they were more physical and dominant than the Steelers D. On my levels they were the better defense in this game. I wished we kept Flores instead of Austin. It is time for fans and media to question the defesive gameplans and preparation like they did for Matt Canada. I understand it was one game and think overall the Steelers will be fine but this same thing happened four games in a row last year.

    the reason pittsburgh lost is because they don’t have a true #1 running back, not a true #1 quarterback. Nahjee Harris, isn’t very good. i would say below average and definitely a bust as a #1 draft pick. he has absolutely no acceleration and is more likely to get a yard or two, than break one to the house, he usually gets 5 to 10 yards when they need 15+. first down carries are atrocious. i hope they don’t intend to resign him, and wish he was the one that went down rather than daniels

      He’s quite literally the only reason we had any points on the board to begin with. The snap at the end was the centers fault as u can see Najee is taken by surprise and GP doesn’t even move. The fumble around halftime was not a fumble as his entire forearm was planted on the ground when he got touched with possession. 70% completion rate with nearly 1k yards and 6 touchdowns within 4 games on a new team with a new OC is very acceptable. You clearly only look at the surface
