this was wen eastenders was at its absolute best! real raw and worth watching!
Everything it certainly is not now.
It really epitomizes what like was like in Britian in the 1980's when unemployment was high 😢, not even the Blue collar families lived like that on US Soaps. Albert Square makes 5th Street on Guiding Light look like Sesame Street.
June brown is an incredible talent and true british icon
Behave
Legend
Nick Cotton legend.
“pete seemed to be doing fine on his own” is a brilliant line
He's one of my mars old favourites carrictas
7:22, “Now what we want is you out of this territory for good” Not knowing that he would spend the next 29 years coming in and out of the square, terrorrising Dot in the process as well as causing all sorts of grief.
Brilliant character Nick Cotton.
They don't look 'alike', but Nick was well cast to play Dot's son. Similar face shape and complexion.
That duff duff at the end was good
The Original Bad man of Eastenders Nick Cotton. Good end in abandoned house.
With his old Ma.
Yeah went full circle. Finally some development for him...
Especially when Nick killed Reg Cox in that house
He was such a stud. Shame they killed him off. A real iconic villain.
Yea, a bar stud.
80z was the best days of east Enders nothing else comes close. The modern day eastenders is like shit on the 80z shoes 👠
Goosebumps Watching 'Den' Leslie 🇬🇧 Electrifying All Of Them 🎥
"Pete waa doing fine on his own" 😊😊
Damn Dot sounds like a completely different person
Ayesha voicebox changes a lot when you smoke like a chimney
Amber Innes HAHA LMAO
She smoked like a trooper
"HELLO MA"
"GOODBYE PA"
Wish they’d bring nick back, such a laugh
He died though
yep but they killed him off for good at john altmans request
@@brianmurray7117 everyone else seems to rise again in that place
@@paulwhite1040 But with him, we actually saw him when he died. The ones that returned like Kathy, Cindy, Den, we didn't see them die.
Those jeans look xtra tight. Lol
Very 😜
Douglas Fielding who played Det Sgt Quick was in Z Cars as the Police Constable. RIP Douglas Fielding
Alright Ma...I'm back!!
Nick cotton the archetypal pond life..
'....Pete seemed to be doing fine...' in beating Nick up
What a difference in acting ability there was in the Cotton household.
2:26 lol that was heavy
Is there anywhere that has all the old episodes in order ?
Hello Mar!
Paradise Club Too With Bruce Dickinson 🇬🇧
this was the early days and took to nick straight away even den watts just one was more flash but pete bigmoth beale a thick low-life bully could not stand him got his just deserts in the end as for that blonde copper bent all the way
What is that reggae song in the market when nicks talking to quick?
@@marcogiordano101 😍thank you so much
I'm just glad Ali was there - things could have got nasty 😄
I always found his acting diabolical…. He stuck out like a pork chop at a Jewish wedding.
8:24 Now that’s a Duff Duff if ever I saw one
1:17 Must be love 😆
who is the police officer in on dealing with nick cotton ?
was nick not a hanger -on to the firm too though I am sure when in prison with den he mentioned he did them a few favours from time to time
Does anyone know the name of the song playing in the background
I want to know too please!
@@marcogiordano101 thanks
there was always a reggae track playn in the background in the eastenders market scenes in the 80s!
Nick cotton here kinda reminds me of Peter Barlow in coronation Street
cg 75577 Peter Barlow ain’t so much of a bully and scumbag as Nick Cotton was
@@kevinprior3549 Peter was quite bad though almost killed his son in house fire cause of booze cheated on all his girlfriends was a compulsive liar
cg 75577 your 100% wright he does
More like Terry duckworth a bad penny
Dot is right. That cop needs to leave Nick alone! He didn't do nufink.
I love Nick and Dot is right. Nick didn't technically do anything in this, but he killed Reg Cox by beating him and selling his war medals.
Do you have the episodes with Nick and the original Zoe and Ashley Cotton from 1993?.
Was Den referring to the Firm when he mentioned those gangsters? 6:10
Nick was a dodgy character, but after seeing a few of these clips I've concluded that the others were all cliquey and hypocritical, doing whatever they wanted while having a pop at Nick everytime he did the same because he wasn't in with them. They even say in the clip where they beat him up that one or two of them won't like the police knowing their business.
Yep, the others are not much better than Nick imo.
they where all trying to be macho pete was a big-mouthed bully
Den for example getting young Michelle Fowler pregnant with Vicki😂😂😂
At least they didn't try to poison their own mum like nick tried
What song is that in the market
I want to know too !
How old was Nick in this
He was early 20's in this episode though John Altman (the actor who played him) was 32.
Yeth both thanks
John doesn’t look 32
He was born in 1952, depending on the time of the year this was filmed, he was either 32 or 33.
Yeth both
Thanks
Yeth both do you by any chance know the song that was playing when nick was talking to that person
EastEnders: paralegals
What son is that in the first scene
i want to know what that song was too
Nick looks like Simon Cowell
"It’s a no for today"
Simon Scowl
Jos and Toady 😀 TV have
Could his jeans be any tighter, I can see the outline of everything! 🙈
who is Nick dad
Winston
Charlie cotton
Pete Beale and the cop get angry at Nick getting a fiver from his mum and decide to do something about it ;-/
considering that den watts is the landlord of the queen victoria pub, husband to angie, and dad to sharon watts, what exactly is his background supposed to be like, and because he seems to be a bit of a hard man, and does things like help out the local gangsters, and even goes to prison for it, do we ever discover just what he got upto during his past.
He went to prison for Arson but he didn't do it it was one of he's cronies I believe
Do let know when he's off won't you?
Because I would love wish him bon voyage
and what are protection rackets -extortion double standards
Den was a total hypocrite he may not have done shit like Nick but he’s gotten Michelle pregnant, that’s also worse.
What?? Give over!🤣🤣
@@CB-xr1eg you saying Dirty Den's a saint?
@@justinjuerakhan7934 Getting Michelle up the duff was not worse than what Nick did, Don't forget he murdered someone. An old boy named Reg, I think.
@@CB-xr1eg yes and he murdered Eddie Royle, all I’m saying it’s not just Nick that does stupid shit it’s almost the whole square, they’re all hypocrites!
@@justinjuerakhan7934 No that's not all you were saying, now you''re backtracking.
You clearly stated that Den getting Michelle pregnant was worse than what Nick did.

EastEnders...when EastEnders WAS EastEnders...and not a jumped-up version of Hollyoaks (wannabe Hollywood...over dramatic nonsense).
