This is great to Generac rebounding after a few years of issues with PWRCell. The Generac team has stepped up and is really ahead of the game! I am excited to work with the new PWRCell 2.
I must comment on the company that is Generac. I have the gen one system and it works great. Also the couple issues I've had Generac has been extremely helpful and stood behind their products even when the installer went out of business. I feel confident so far that they have my back. The app also they have worked through the bugs and added features to control the system. The app also works great. Standing behind your products is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of a 20 to 30 year system. Being there when your installer isn't.
Hi, thanks so much for your information. I have a very simple question when it comes to Generac PWRcell. If I was not wrong its battery is Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC), where as the mainstream battery nowadays is LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate). I googled and was told that LFP is actually safer and cheaper for home use. So shall I choose systems like Tesla Powerwall 3, Enphase or other LFP system, instead of PWRcell 2 ?
I recall from a video you posted about a year ago you noted that the PWRcell DC coupling limitations were an issue, which the it appears the PWRcell2 resolves, but what about the snapRS issue you mentioned? What is the battery chemistry? Did they move away from NMC?
I purchased the generac whole house 20 kw, 36 kw batteries from powercell and have net metering in NC while having Q cell panels that can do 15 kw peak. Problem is generator cannot interact with the solar to charge the batteries. Have called and support has so far not come up with a work around so that the batteries can be charged by the generator
I see them in different categories. Tesla's new system supports DC and AC coupling. Generac is AC-coupled only and allows AC tie in with a fuel burning generator.
18kw in a single cabinet, industry leading, 2:27 all proud. It’s 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Why is it so damn big, are there lead acid batteries in there? Eg4 powerpro is less than 3x2 feet boasting 14+kw
"Coming Up" is very helpful for solar reps. Many solar reps use this channel for self education and presenting information to their clients. So, since Solar Surge has many videos in their catalog, this makes for finding the right information quickly. Thanks, Solar Surge.
You are very leveled, knowledgeable, and respectful interviewer. I enjoy your content. Thank you.

Cool. How about failure rates with their micros and RSDs?

With pwrcell 2, has the snap/link platform changed at all?

Can you do a review of the eg4 whole home. Backup and battery system
Yes we just shot a video of the new 2024 lineup from EG4. Look for that video publishing this week.

does the grid charge the batteries also
needs to support dual 200 amp or 400 amp service
I agree. I haven’t seen many of the manufacturers operating 400 amp residential option.
Who is their right mind would order a Generac?
How does this compare to Tesla's system?

@@SolarSurge Have not seen an AC-coupled PW3, there has been talk ...is this now a reality?

The Generac rep says this is AC coupled whereas their previous product was DC coupled. Is this an upgrade or a downgrade?
I wouldn’t buy a keychain from Generac let her own batteries, specially, after how they treat their generators
Please stop "Coming Up" and just get into it.
This isn't your platform, so respect the man's channel and what he is sharing.
