Why would u even come close to anything suspension on ebay? I don't trust ebay. Never will with performance parts. You literally get whaat you pay for on ebay.
Would you recommend replacing stock shocks with truhart shocks or other brand shocks?? From what I've heard stock shocks with lowering springs gives ur vehicle a very bouncy n bumpy ride quality due to the fact that they're not meant to carry the load of springs. Truhart shocks or other name brand shocks is said to give ur ride a more comfortable ride quality..
test drove that gen si an was very disappointed.. they would be a fun car if they kept the 8th gen si motor an trans. nice car jus not a fan of tha drive train. my fa5 is on Skunk2 Pro C full bodys. u should try those. so amazing, also have em on my dc5. beautiful car tho man👍
@@GataMeLigaI’ve had the FA5 and now the FB6 and the 9th gen engine is way better if kept stock imo. The 8th gen needs to be revved up to 7k rpm to pass a damn mini van. That low end torque from the 2.4 liter is so nice
Joseph Ortiz Ive had the springs on for 30,000 miles now and I have had a single issue with uneven tire wear. Just get it aligned as soon as you lower it and it shouldnt be an issue.
This comment won’t get attention anyways but well worth a try. I can’t remove the my rear strut bolt it just doesn’t wanna spin. I’ve done everything in the video it just won’t budge
They are wearing very evenly. When I did the alignment the technician spoke to me saying rear camber arms were not necessary. 5,000 miles later and I have not noticed any uneven wear on my tires.
A world of difference aint it? Makes the car look better. Shouldve been this way from factory but Im going to continue sipping my tea in front of Honda. lol
MEX GAMING It is an open ended socket wrench. I do not remember the size brotha. I apologize this video is about a year old and I have done a lot to the car since. I honestly do not know what bolt you are talking about. Give me a time stamp and Ill see.
Taking the whole front brake calipers off is completely unnecessary!! You can leave them on. You’re doing extra steps and showing other people extra unnecessary steps!
+hondacivicsifan At the part of the wiper blade closest to the fenders, there are little plastic pieces covering the bolt you need to remove to take off the wiper. I believe it is a 17mm hex nut.
Hey great video!! I have a 2015 Honda Civic Si as well and was thinking of getting skunk2 lowering springs and i have a question. Does your car rub in any way when taking corners or anything like that?
No. It doesn't rub. It does tend to bottom out on really rough bumps at high speeds. It's the price you pay for lowering the car, but the car needs to be lowered. Period. Sits waaaaay to high for a "sports" variant of the civic. The rule of thumb is, when you lower the car just be extra cautious.
A bit rougher than stock but not by much. I just got her aligned today and there was a bit of improvement on feel, but otherwise she rides pretty nicely for a lowered car.
Jose Luis Acosta Jr I had this issue too. You have to jack up the control arm or lower it with the jack. Play around with the jack until the bolt finally catches some threading. Be patient, this takes a little time.
We all know struts blow if you put springs on a car. Some people want a cheap alternative to coils. This is one of them. I put 20 thousand miles on my car since the install and havent had my struts blow yet. Catch up on my videos because on my Skunk 2 Lowering Springs review I say if you have the money to spend, go coilover suspension.
yeah ik. i blew a strut already because of the road where i live. i live in a bad city for lowered cars but what can i do? i love lowered cars and i aint gonaa move just to lower my car. feel me
Allready go to the valiants site but i can't find the lowerings springs for my 2013 honda civic si, they just have 2012 that lowering spring will fux in my 2013 si? Thank u buddy
Im not sure. I dont have those coilovers. D: maybe incorrect installation? or maybe faulty equipment? Im not sure. Havent heard of BCs failing like that.
Hi! That clunking noise is not normal, does not affect The car for sure, u need to replace The rearbearing struts The One of The top, that happen when u mount The strut back and give to much presure to The bearing, the rearbearing are cheap dont worry!
Do we have to alight the car after doing this ?
Yes an alignment is required when altering the suspension on any vehicle.
on ebay they just released skunk2 strut and shocks or you can go truharts to pair them up nicely
Why would u even come close to anything suspension on ebay? I don't trust ebay. Never will with performance parts. You literally get whaat you pay for on ebay.
Junior Pivaral haha the uploader is so salty and uptight
where did you get your rear window spoiler?
Ebay
This brand of suspension is good ? I need know about that to buy one for my civic 2015
I recommend saving money to buy quality coilovers.
If you mention that site one more fuckin time im never going
Umad?
Ur vids are great! Deff subscribed
Thank you brother! Spread the word!
Bruh everyone says my Ep3 looks like a rally car definitely going to put a set of these on it to bring it down a bit
Great looking Si! I own an 2007 Si sedan in silver :D I own my girl for almost 5 years now and I still have fun with her
Thanks bro!
Wicked video dude. About to install mine on my FG3 soon here. Thanks so much!quick question, how do you get a rusty strut bar bolt off? Mines fucked.
pb blaster
@@mattmain8677 i got all 4 installed. Now my car makes a clunking noise over small bumps and when I go slow over speed bumps.... any suggestions?
Helpful video, g. I get my coilovers in today and I'm going to install them Thursday or Friday.
That should be a breeze to install! Seeing as you do not have to mess with the stock springs
Thanks for the video!
What is that "special tool" wrench called? Thanks in advance
It is an open ended socket wrench along with an open ended socket so you can fit an allen key in the middle of it.

You have to use a socket wrench with an opening in the middle. You have to fit an Allen key in the middle, hold it tight, then loosen.
Megan Racing coils is the way to go ...
+Qezt Nest Dont have the cash for coils at the moment.
They are wearing very evenly. When I did the alignment the technician spoke to me saying rear camber arms were not necessary. 5,000 miles later and I have not noticed any uneven wear on my tires.
Great video and nice spring! I just replaced they with BC racing coilovers since my struts are bombed lol.
I plan to get coils after my struts go too
yeah you should man. I recommend my BC racing coilovers. Best coilovers you can get under $1000!
Im planning on getting Fortune Auto Coils. Do it nice or do it twice.
Bro i got the same fg4 in rally red with the same springs bro. It made a huge difference to the look of the car!
But I lowered it about a year ago
A world of difference aint it? Makes the car look better. Shouldve been this way from factory but Im going to continue sipping my tea in front of Honda. lol
+GataMeLiga i just followed you on instagram give me a follow back😁 @_dyllvn
When you had the skunk 2 springs with stock wheels, did your front wheels hit your fender on dips
Daren O'Reilly no
Great video sir, thank you
Thanks man.. I appreciate it.. I shall attempt this 2 week
How do you check the alignment you said not to tight it until you can’t turn it
Go to an alignment shop?
But can I tight the bolt all the way in?
Also what’s the name of the special tool and size #

Brah how they holding up? Bout to order these. When getting the alignment, did they zero out everything for you or did you have minimal rear camber?
Camber was -2 but I didnt care to much for it. Im on coilovers now and actually am not this low anymore.
Are those accord 19’s?
no
Bro the front springs spin opposite of each other, but rears spin the same way?
The springs themselves are labeled. FR FL RR RL

@@longbrake0060 waaaah cry about it.

No
Hey Man, does the skunk2 make your car bouncing at all?
No but it makes the ride more stiff and rough.
What’s the drop ?
Dope car dope video 👍🏾
Thanks brother keep rocking!
I have 18" rims, will it scrape the fenders if I put these springs on??
No. it shouldnt. I have 18s
I have a 14 Honda civic LX, do u think the skunk2 springs will fit on it?
I dont think they do. Check the valiants racing website for your specific model.
I was just curious!!! and great video by the way!!!!
Thank you! :D
How’s the other suspension components holding up so far?
I have since switched to coilovers. Please refer to my most recent videos.
hey I have a question, in order to remove the top bolts of the front struts, you have to remove the wipers but how do I do that? thanks
+hondacivicsifan At the part of the wiper blade closest to the fenders, there are little plastic pieces covering the bolt you need to remove to take off the wiper. I believe it is a 17mm hex nut.
Is it bumpy without a camber kit?
insta.thacker camber kit has nothing to do with bumpiness...
How long have you been working now on cars? You self taught or take any classes?
Pops and I have been working on cars ever since I could walk.
did installing these give the wheels negative camber
Have anyone broken there front end link after installing skunk2 spring? R is it just me..
ghostman559 if you broke the end link you didnt do it right. Youre supposed to use an open ended ratchet and stick an allen key in the middle.
If you do this, do you have to install a camber kit?
Joseph Ortiz No. just have to get it aligned
what was the tool called when you had to use a allen key for the top bolt for the fronts and also the rear end links?
PJ1904 an open ended socket wrench with hex head sockets
What size socket were you using when u removed the bolt from 9:50-10:00??? @gatameliga
16 or 14 mm not sure. It was so long ago I don't recall.
Are those the stock rims and tires?
Haiii yes
hey bro doest it matter where the boot goes?
Yes it does.
How can you tell wich one goes where
whichever one you removed from the right an vice versa
how much of a drop is it now
still 2.25

If the concern is rubbing, then I suggest getting D2 lowering springs. Those are a moderate 1" drop while the skunk 2s drop it 2" Up to you though!
Thanks!! I will keep that in mind!
How much of a drop was that
How's the ride with the skunk2 springs?
A bit rougher than stock but not by much. I just got her aligned today and there was a bit of improvement on feel, but otherwise she rides pretty nicely for a lowered car.
Car looks way different without hfp kit
Yeah. Im getting the front lips put on soon.
Don’t crack your window lol
what.
Im having trouble getting the 1st bolt on the rear shock tower back on. Not the end link bolt, the other one. Any tips?

Brian's si 18
its funny cuzz mad ppl talk shit about having your car lowered. low life is the way to go. we break suin we fix it dats it lol.
The stock height is ridiculous. Should've been at least a little lower from factory. People can talk crap all they want. I love it.

Is not the suspension too rigid?
Daniel Rodriguez dont have these springs anymore. Couldnt tell you.
Can you help with the link to find the exact springs and size that you have .?
Thank you
Looks greats.
Ismael Rodriguez I dont have the exact link. Btw I dont recommend springs. Go coilovers. Youll also scrape on a lo.
Alright thank you for the advice.
