For a recent video job I used the IF23 which is just a bit better thx to the diffusor and the longer runtime. However, the sidelight of the IF24 is still very, very helpful to light up scenes.
It's basic marketing. The IF24 is for "dummies". The IF23 is for people who do REAL WORK in the REAL WORLD (Mechanics, Electrician, Plumbers, Carpenters/smart men-MODE". Sorry. IF24 is a downgrade. Just saying.
Sorry, I have to disagree. On my night shifts I much prefer the IF24 as the UI is way better, quicker and more reliable. Yesterday I did a bunker tour and brought the IF23 as higher brightness and a bigger battery mattered more than ease of use.
@@CheekyMenace I just used the IF23 as videolight for hours on my rig. Was a little job. It performed great and certainly better than the IF24 in the same role: Great diffusor on the side, much longer runtimes.
Maybe even just some kinda foil stuck on to the IF24 would already help diffuse the side light.

@@thesmith2327 I really like it, makes sense on lights with many complex functions!

Just because you bought the 23 and now have buyers remorse.
Aka: this guy has the IF23 and is trying to make up a reason that his light is better than the upgraded IF24.

Also disagree that switch to prevent the flash light from turning on is 100% necessity. I am a plumber, I love the rotator dial.
