You are comparing a IF23 with a 21700 battery to a IF24 with 18650 battery. It's not an upgrade. It's a different flashlight. 4000 lumens with a 18650 and you would be running out of battery quickly. Also the IF24 doesn't work as power bank like the IF23. Yes the IF24 dial switch is more practical but I wouldn't be surprised Sofirn will be upgrading the IF23 to a similar dial switch. Imo the IF23 is still far superior and practical than the IF24 but if you are looking for a small form factor (even though the IF24 is longer) it's a great choice. I still prefer the IF23 for its versatility and power. Also it got me out of trouble a couple of times with the power bank feature where my mobile ran out of battery and I was able to charge it without problems. For people that go camping or go for long hikes I would definitely recommend the IF23 instead.
Yes, yes I am absolutely making that comparison. You see, not everyone has the same wants and needs that you do. And not everyone has the same wants or needs that I do. But form factor and ease of use are typically paramount for people on any consumer goods. While for many, the battery life and longevity of use of the light will be more important, for most… if they feel it’s an encumbrance to carry, it doesn’t matter how long it runs if they leave it at home.
yep, id say similar but different, i dont conside the 24 an upgrade of the 23, i love my 23, use the powerbank feature a lot, have no roblem with UI, 1/2 the lumens!!!! reduced battery!!!!! its a different flashlight
@@tyronewalker5764 both will work with iF23...but I prefer to have all my 21700 in flat top configuration and just keep a magnet button top should I ever need to use a button top 21700 battery
@JimSkeltonKnives. Hi, first time watching your reviews and am loving it.Clean, clear, fun and informative. Will watch more of your posts. All the best to you.I was thinking about buying the larger size 21700 battery configuration but a more pocketable model seems a better fit for genuine EDC.Again all the best to you.
Thank you, I appreciate it. The 23 is definitely impressive with the crazy lumens, but honestly, the easier carry of the 24 makes it more practical and you’re likely to carry it more often as a result. And still, at 2000lm, it’s not slacking.
Then you really don’t want to watch the review on the IF23. It does all that stuff but only using one button. The rotating ring simplifies it incredibly.
Massive upgrade? You're having a laugh...much better & simpler user interface and that's it. Everything else is (kinda) inferior to iF23. But if an improved and simpler UI is all that's important to you, then I concede yes it can be considered "massive" Also..they had to lower the output probably due to the 18650 battery's lower capacity Now if they were to come out with an iF23 Pro with the upgraded UX...that would be close to perfect

Low battery indicator?
Yes, of course
Does it have an SOS mode?
The IF24 doesn't have the power bank feature
The old one was like an IQ test.
Hahaa, yeah, a little bit. This control bezel makes it completely intuitive now.
Couple errors...
If23 is a 21700, so of course it's bigger. Secondly, The if24 doesn't do battery bank feature.
