These are both beautiful! Thanks for showing us how to you go about getting the quilt on your quilting machine and deciding on the pattern and thread. It's really fun to see that part in addition to the making of the quilt. Keep sharing your tutorials! Your tips and techniques are so helpful and so very much appreciated :)
I would love to have a quilting machine like that!!! I want to thank you so much for your tutorials, I have learned so much! Since I’ve been pressing with finger on all of my blocks, they are coming out more correctly and laying more flat. Also I’m doing the ironing like you’re doing and my cutting is more accurate, and I’m also using a weight at the end of my ruler and it holds it in place getting a better cut!!!!
I love how you let the fabric guide you and make projects you’ve never made before. I’ve learnt so much about cutting and ironing and colour from your videos.
Great quilt. It is so interesting to see the difference between the two quilts. Great idea and I love the striped fabrics that you used for the border.
Donna thank you for your video. I have had 3 strokes and having a bit of trouble working a pattern but you have brought my interest back in piecing. Wish I could come to your shop but I live in Oklahoma. Blessing to you and yours. Diane
Such a genius idea for the value gradient fabrics! I'm very impressed. I love the look of the result. I love mixing up the values a bit and making things a bit scrappy to add interest to a quilt so I'm already partial to this sort of quilt. But I don't know when I would ever have thought of using the value gradient fabrics and figuring out exactly how to use it! Again, WOW! Thanks for sharing this awesome idea.
I love watching EVERY quilt you make . You are an excellent seamstress. Can’t wait for the next one to pop up for me to watch ! It’s 2 am when I watched this one . Keep them coming girl ! Ps love how precise the fabric is cut when I order the kits . Matt is great too !!!!
Awesome choice and phenomenal impact of patch placement ❣️. Such beautiful ombré fabrics. Love how you explained linear crossed pieces to get the gradation , an aha moment ~ so exciting to learn something new. Thank you for sharing your insight and enthusiasm‼️👍
Darn I missed that when I was in your store but I did get my Christmas fabric and I loved that I got to met you and Matt you guys are as nice as you can be and I think that every time that I go on a trip I will be stopping at your store I had a great time and everyone that was at your store was very nice and helpful just wanted to say thank you.
Thanks once again Donna, for a great tutorial and wonderful pattern. Your "thinking out loud" technique and explanations are such a powerful teaching tool for the novice and hesitant beginner. Fantastic! Jess
I love the quilt. The fabric is beautiful. I especially like the blues not the yellowish ones but the blue and the lavender colors are gorgeous. I also wish you had done a video of construction. I always learn so much by watching you. It's almost cathartic and it gives me confidence that I can do it also.
Cathartic and confidence. Great choice of words. Each time I sit and sew, I hear Donna teaching just me. When I talk back to her, I always call her Jordan and she never corrects me🙃. Thanks Donna Jordan. Keep up the great work
Love that you showed us how to put this on the quilting machine and how to choose thread and quilting pattern. I recently bought a mid arm machine and I'm nervous about using it.
Oh my goodness!both are beautiful😁 I’m not a pink person, but wow, they’re both so different, because of different layouts, that I’m tending to almost prefer the pink! Now, if I only had a quilting machine..looks so much fun. Thanks again Donna.from Australia
I always love watching your videos. I learn more each time I replay them. I had bought some fabric from you a while back and I think I'll use it to make this quilt. It looks easy enough to construct (could be you make it look so easy) and half square triangles are my favorite quilt shapes to work with. Thanks so much Donna.
Wow! The 'quilt police' are out in force! I don't know how people have to gall to point out where they could have done better. Donna - your quilts are amazing and I so appreciate the videos that you produce from which I have learned so much. I was in my local fabric store (in the UK) at the weekend and I nearly fell over when I saw the bolts of gorgeous 'Gradients' on the table and then got home and saw your video - I must be meant to make that quilt! I need to do some maths to check if it is cost-effective for me to import it from you, but I suspect my shop doesn't have the full range of the blues or the pinks. I'll be back :-)
There’s no quilt police in the comments. Just because people asking questions or wondering what she did doesn’t mean they’re a quilt police. I don’t see anyone being critical of what she did. A few questions but people are mostly thanking her. It must be different in the UK. It’s ok to ask questions no one is being critical at all.
I love to quilt but time sometimes eludes me but sewing 10 inch squares would be a breeze. I got myself some - 2 jelly rolls yesterday and then spied your Hash Browns tutorial again and just fell back in love with the squares. Thanks for always having great tutorials. Definitely going to check out your site in regards to the Gradient 10 inch squares.
Great tutorial I would love to know what the 6 thumbs down have against your generosity. I just love to watch your tutorials over and over. K Australia
Donna, I love all your tutorials, you are a great teacher! I would like to see you make Winter Solstice Quilt Pattern, and the Sonora Quilt Pattern, both from Cozy Designs. Love your store, and the service is great!

Beautiful fabric, inspired quilt design. I was hoping for a mention of the width of the border strips in the description? (I couldn't find it in the video...). Thanks for another wonderful tutorial video, Donna and team! ~Diana from Toronto
Hi Donna, I absolutely adore your beautiful quilts you make you explain it so well. I have made a couple of your quilts now , just a question on your backing I know you can buy extra wide backing for your quilts but the backing you have on your quilts is it just by the meter and you so them up for your backing or can you buy more colours for your backing . I am still learning I absolutely love Quilting . Thank you so much For doing these tutorials I have learnt so much from you and I like to thank you for that .
I’m in the starting process of this one 😊 got one of the yards cut down and will do the 10” squares over the weekend
These are both beautiful! Thanks for showing us how to you go about getting the quilt on your quilting machine and deciding on the pattern and thread. It's really fun to see that part in addition to the making of the quilt.

What wonderful fabrics, loved them both, we have nothing like your choice of fabrics in the UK
I totally agree with you, we often have the same brand names but not the same patterns on material
