I just received the 2 fall Dior quints today. I thought they were prettier in person when I swatched them. Thank you for your honest opinion on these palettes and saving me the money. I have been disappointed by Chanel in the past and I am 64 and have been buying Chanel for decades. I am so happy I discovered you, your reviews are so thorough and your makeup looks are always beautiful.
This was by far the most honest review I’ve watched. I’ve had these for months now and I think Brun Et Rose is my favorite. The Poupre has dismal pigment and to get the lightest pink to show at all I’ve REALLY had to dig. The Poupre is awful and no one else has said that lol. I’d give the same review as you if you want to have a part of this collection because your like me and love Chanel get just one ( the Brun Rose ) and call it a day 🖤. Thanks for keeping it real that’s why we love this channel!

Honesty is always so appreciated. I'm a huge CHANEL lover and like many was looking forward to this release (if I'm honest, I think the little tweed pouches were adding to the mystique of them - so silly I know). I just don't get the hype this time around. CHANEL is known to not be super pigmented and very mature eye friendly which is fine, but in truth these colours are just meh and I probably have them a few times over in my collection. Money well saved, thank you 😘
I know I love the little tweed pouches 😅 I think it’s interesting that the main consumer of these is a mature audience but then all the campaign models are like 19 🤦🏼♀️
This collection has gotten available in my country today. I'm such a Chanel lover, but was already in doubt about this release and after seeing this review I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip. but damn, those tweed pouches are awfully cute....
Great review! I love Chanel and will get one of these palettes because I love the Chanel aesthetic and the packaging/presentation is part of what makes me drawn to any makeup product. The Brun et Rose looks pretty and understated. But now I don't feel like I need more than one of these quads so thank you!

Cuivre and Pourpre are not correct. The second syllable is not correct. I am not native English, but I would compare it to the 'e' in 'honest'. In both words, the accent is on the first syllable.
I’ve never been a huge fan of Chanel eyeshadows.. whenever I get them, I declutter them pretty quickly.. I really appreciate this HONEST review of the shadows.. it’s so easy to get sucked in by the hype.. I’ve really been eyeing and have ordered some of the lipsticks and one of the nail polishes….I’m a sucker for beautiful nudes… I’ve got one of the new Guerlain quads on the way and cannot wait to get it!

For those who prefer a bolder look, I recommend the Surratt Beauty "Beyond Beige Palette" (finally back in stock).
Just got mine in Fauve. Love it soooo much. Purchased at Nordstrom. They also gave me a velvet Chanel compact case that it fits inside perfectly. I love this quad. The blendability is amazing. Plenty of pigment on my fair skin and green eyes pop.

You’re the only one who’s given an honest review of these. Chanel shadows feel like they are lower quality than Urban Decay when you take it out of the packaging. Not buttery or pigmented at all!
I love Chanel complexion products (and fragrances, of course) but was never into their eyeshadow palettes! Just like you, these tweed quads turned my head too! lol. Thank you for being the voice of reason. I've been seeing so much hype over these palettes and they look really meh to me, especially if we already have these colors already. These will probably be more expensive than their current $62-65 palettes. I'll be passing on this one. I do think their other hand, I'm more interested in the Intensité palette because I don't have those colors in my collection. :)
I did ask an SA to put one of each aside for me, but maybe I’ll just take home a couple. As always, outstanding and thorough review. I HATE dusty eyeshadows, but I LOVE it when you say something is dusty! Haha! It’s like, oohh burn!!
how amazing you got to review these already!! i’d be curious to see what shadows in your collection are a good dupe for Tweed 04. that was my fav color story so glad to hear the formula is nice. the little tweed pockets are super cute. i’m probably the only one that thinks the texture inside looks creepy 😂.. and as you said it would disappear with use anyways. i would be tempted by the colors / formula but need to make sure my les beiges eyeshadow palette isn’t too similar already (along with other palettes.) i think the upcoming ND palette is more exciting along with the recent Guerlain releases, personally

I’ll pass on this collection, the tweed embossing is not enough to make me spend $62 on it, if the the little jacket pattern was on the actual palette itself, that would be another story. Silly, I know. I have to be selective with the makeup I purchase going forward as so many holiday releases will be coming our way.

I am a Chanel girl, love their makeup except their eyeshadows. My taste in shadows is the same as yours. I have 2-9 pan palettes and a quad (Tisse vendom) and I regret all. These new ones look very disappointing. I wish they sold the tweed sleeve by itself. I was curious about these so thank you for your down to earth, honest review. It is a pass for me. Thank you for the Gurlain recommendation, I was scared to try but I trust what you say and think I will enjoy those.

Oh you got Majestic Rose! I also got Mystic Peacock which I like. I haven’t reviewed it just yet. I am interested in some of the others but have been taking it slow since we are going to get so many holiday releases and perhaps Guerlain will launch more color ways in the future 🤞
Hiiii love your content Sofia. But; Chanel is never for the young lady who wants punch & colour pay off. Chanel is very beige lol. It’s for ladies who want a classic subtle look. That’s the aesthetic of Chanel. It’s certainly nothing pigmented like pat mcbrath or Patrick at etc. loved your honest review; insightful & your looks turned out beautiful. I looooove the burn et rose palette on you ;)

Really like the pacing of this video. You covered a lot of ground and got in all 4 looks. Plus your lighting gets better all the time. One thing I would love to have seen was a comparison between these palettes and Natasha Denona. I have the Brun et Rose on order as well as the Cuivre. But B&R reminded me of the Glam palette by ND. What do you think?💚
I’m so glad! Indeed, I think the ND Glam palette covers the tones in Brun Et Rose but you are getting a lot more finishes in the Glam palette. I think it comes down to the experience. Many times I have a bigger palette that can give me a similar look but sometimes I love the simplicity of a small quad 😊
@@SofiaSeesBeauty That was actually the whole reason I ordered Brun et Rose. The Cuivre has elements of both Pat McGrath and the ND Gold palette, I think. I have those too, but same idea. Curious to get those. Although Fauve isn't your favorite, it looked terrific on you on camera.

Definitely! I think that they are all pretty subtle but I would go with No 4 if you want that one shimmer shade to add some brightness. No 2 and 3 don't have much shimmer if that is what you prefer

I reached out to a Nordstrom SA as I don’t have a Nordstrom store or Chanel boutique anywhere near me I reserved a #4 palette and am hoping all goes smoothly and I do get it. These colors remind me of two Tom Ford palettes that came out about 20 years ago. What’s the big deal about the embossing? Eye makeup is eye makeup. Same stuff goes into most of them. I want to know how these blend and how long they last. Even so is any eye shadow worth $50 and more? Sure, if you have money pouring in, not so much if you actually have to work for a living.
I feel it’s preference. Chanel’s philosophy is “less is more” so the expectation of high pigment like ND or PM just won’t happen. It’s not their target audience. That may change. I have two of the tweeds but have not used them yet. Honestly, I don’t feel any recent release from any brand is revolutionary or one that can’t be duped or have compatible shades. Your make up always looks very good on you despite what product you use. I really enjoy your content- keep up the good work!
ooh love your detailed video...Chanel here in Montreal is very expensive. Having said that, I'm soon 51 (hooded eyes lol ), I find myself wearing less make-up and wanting easy, bendable shadows. Yet, sacrificing quality is an issue with these "Highe End" brands..kind of unfair. Dare I say, for us easy office look ladies, these can be amazing. But Clinique duo eyeshadows for 35$ Cdn can do similar job as some brands costing 85$ palette. My heart wants to try one of these, (not sold in Canada). Can you suggest a similar colour story to Palette 2 or 3?? (less expensive) OR do a comparision?
thanks for your honest opinion i am now on the fence i called the store in amsterdam they were really nice and helpful trying to find out when they are arriving. i would need to drive to the city its close but still. have to ask our type of Nordsroms store if they can be preordered or if they know when they are coming. then you need to pay for parking i think thats not worth it. i will check the website each day if its online ill order but not going out of my way to ask about it. really glad i saw your video actually
im glad i watched this, cuz 88 dollars for one quad.. eh.. i mean i already have tomfords and natasha denona palettes and i think ur right. i see some similarities on maybe palettes or quads that we or I have .. example u mentioned the tweed Brun Et Rose and i think the Glam palette by natasha denona is like a dupe with in itself... and i love the glam palette, i mean i think u r just right.. its not worth wasting 88 dollars when we have similar stuff already in our makeup collections

Completely love with this quads and pouches, I saw swatches few month before, I fall in love with 1,3,4 ,but after watching your review I better stick with No 1 quad , I have brown complexion so I think this will better suits me .I have a doubt with 4th whether it shows to my skin color .no comments for 3rd one . Thank you for being the voice of reason. I've been seeing so much hype over these palettes and they look really meh to me, especially if we already have these colors already. These will probably be more expensive than their current $62-65 palettes. I'll be passing on this one. I do think their other hand, I'm more interested in the Intensité palette because I don't have those colors in my collection. :)

how amazing you got to review these already!! i’d be curious to see what shadows in your collection are a good dupe for Tweed 04. that was my fav color story so glad to hear the formula is nice.
the little tweed pockets are super cute. i’m probably the only one that thinks the texture inside looks creepy 😂.. and as you said it would disappear with use anyways.
i would be tempted by the colors / formula but need to make sure my les beiges eyeshadow palette isn’t too similar already (along with other palettes.)
i think the upcoming ND palette is more exciting along with the recent Guerlain releases, personally
I’m with you. I think that good dupes for 04 are Natasha Denona Glam, Tom Ford Nude Dip, and Dior Soft Cashmere (might be slightly more grey)

I’ll pass on this collection, the tweed embossing is not enough to make me spend $62 on it, if the the little jacket pattern was on the actual palette itself, that would be another story. Silly, I know. I have to be selective with the makeup I purchase going forward as so many holiday releases will be coming our way.

I am a Chanel girl, love their makeup except their eyeshadows. My taste in shadows is the same as yours. I have 2-9 pan palettes and a quad (Tisse vendom) and I regret all. These new ones look very disappointing. I wish they sold the tweed sleeve by itself. I was curious about these so thank you for your down to earth, honest review. It is a pass for me. Thank you for the Gurlain recommendation, I was scared to try but I trust what you say and think I will enjoy those.
I really love the color story of Tisse Vendome but the pigmentation was also a letdown for me ☹️

Oh you got Majestic Rose! I also got Mystic Peacock which I like. I haven’t reviewed it just yet. I am interested in some of the others but have been taking it slow since we are going to get so many holiday releases and perhaps Guerlain will launch more color ways in the future 🤞
Hiiii love your content Sofia. But; Chanel is never for the young lady who wants punch & colour pay off. Chanel is very beige lol. It’s for ladies who want a classic subtle look. That’s the aesthetic of Chanel. It’s certainly nothing pigmented like pat mcbrath or Patrick at etc. loved your honest review; insightful & your looks turned out beautiful. I looooove the burn et rose palette on you ;)

Really like the pacing of this video. You covered a lot of ground and got in all 4 looks. Plus your lighting gets better all the time. One thing I would love to have seen was a comparison between these palettes and Natasha Denona. I have the Brun et Rose on order as well as the Cuivre. But B&R reminded me of the Glam palette by ND. What do you think?💚
I’m so glad! Indeed, I think the ND Glam palette covers the tones in Brun Et Rose but you are getting a lot more finishes in the Glam palette. I think it comes down to the experience. Many times I have a bigger palette that can give me a similar look but sometimes I love the simplicity of a small quad 😊
@@SofiaSeesBeauty That was actually the whole reason I ordered Brun et Rose. The Cuivre has elements of both Pat McGrath and the ND Gold palette, I think. I have those too, but same idea. Curious to get those. Although Fauve isn't your favorite, it looked terrific on you on camera.

I was very excited about these until the reviews began to come out. I’m consistently disappointed with Chanel eyeshadows; everyone raved about the spring Mediterranean quad, but it is mediocre, IMO. I’ll stick with what I already have. Thanks!

Someone finally says what I've been wondering - what is the hype about - the colors don't look special, and while I get they have a tweed pattern, I feel they put more effort into a pouch. Now I have subscribed. Thanks for offering a different viewpoint than I've seen on these. I had thought I might pick up number 3, but now - no.

Definitely! I think that they are all pretty subtle but I would go with No 4 if you want that one shimmer shade to add some brightness. No 2 and 3 don't have much shimmer if that is what you prefer

I reached out to a Nordstrom SA as I don’t have a Nordstrom store or Chanel boutique anywhere near me I reserved a #4 palette and am hoping all goes smoothly and I do get it. These colors remind me of two Tom Ford palettes that came out about 20 years ago. What’s the big deal about the embossing? Eye makeup is eye makeup. Same stuff goes into most of them. I want to know how these blend and how long they last. Even so is any eye shadow worth $50 and more? Sure, if you have money pouring in, not so much if you actually have to work for a living.
These blend nicely but the pigment and longevity are on the lighter side

They are VERY similar! Tweed 04 is a touch more golden. I just posted a comparison to my instagram stories!

I will always choose dior over Chanel 🙃
I feel it’s preference. Chanel’s philosophy is “less is more” so the expectation of high pigment like ND or PM just won’t happen. It’s not their target audience. That may change. I have two of the tweeds but have not used them yet. Honestly, I don’t feel any recent release from any brand is revolutionary or one that can’t be duped or have compatible shades. Your make up always looks very good on you despite what product you use.

ooh love your detailed video...Chanel here in Montreal is very expensive. Having said that, I'm soon 51 (hooded eyes lol ), I find myself wearing less make-up and wanting easy, bendable shadows.
Yet, sacrificing quality is an issue with these "Highe End" brands..kind of unfair. Dare I say, for us easy office look ladies, these can be amazing. But Clinique duo eyeshadows for 35$ Cdn
can do similar job as some brands costing 85$ palette.
My heart wants to try one of these, (not sold in Canada).
Can you suggest a similar colour story to Palette 2 or 3?? (less expensive) OR do a comparision?

thanks for your honest opinion i am now on the fence i called the store in amsterdam they were really nice and helpful trying to find out when they are arriving. i would need to drive to the city its close but still. have to ask our type of Nordsroms store if they can be preordered or if they know when they are coming. then you need to pay for parking i think thats not worth it. i will check the website each day if its online ill order but not going out of my way to ask about it. really glad i saw your video actually
