@SofiaSeesBeauty 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 how do you deal with hard pan? I really love HG powders , Dragon p.most, but I use very very rich skin care ( extremely dry skin since birth lol), and it looks like I’m developing hard pan 😔 scraping gently with a clean tissue or something else? Thank you 💐💐💐💐
You're the first influencer to say - oily girlies, this isn't for you - that I actually agree with. We need good hydration, that's why we're oily, but we don't need THAT much moisture!
This is my new favorite! I have combo/dry skin and have not had any problems. From watching some of the other influencers that attended the launch event they said he was very clear about this being more for normal-dry skin. Then, these same influencers with really oily skin go ahead and give it a bad review?!? You don't need to be a chemist to understand from the ingredient deck that it is not for oily girls. For a combo/dry skin girly, this stuff is amazing! you also don't need a ton of it. I understand the price point is closing in on Luminous Silk but I think it will last a long time.
My “hack” for foundations that are either too dewy or too matte is to use a primer with the opposite finish underneath. So for dewy foundations I’ll use more of a mattifying primer and for more matte foundations I’ll use more of a dewy/hydrating primer. Doing that creates a nice balance on my skin and works well for me 👍🏻
Sophie, you are a gem! You address all skin types when it comes to specific products! It is so helpful in knowing all you covered! Thank you for mentioning more affordable options as luxury brands are quite expensive. Whether one can afford them or has different purchasing priorities, it’s wonderful to know there are alternatives! I have mature combination oily skin. I’ve tried Patrick Ta’s past foundation and it was a fail for me. I gave it to my daughter who uses it beautifully on her dry skin. However, my Holy Grail foundation is Cle De Peau Radiant Foundation! I have no issues with it being too greasy or dewy on me. A lot of factors play into any makeup or skin products to be successful! And your content addresses all the nuances! Everyone’s skin is different!!! God bless you, Sophie!
I just got a sample of it and just put it on. I’ll see how it wears today but I don’t think I’m gonna like it better than this Chanel I do love luxury beauty.❤️ thank you for a great video
I have heard that it works well with the Bobbie Brown Face base but not a lot of other primers because it's water based make sure u use a water based primer or it will not go over well. I have heard a few influencers say it's not for oily skin at all . I have heard so many mixed reviews and I have seen it look beautiful on some and horrible on others so I think it's a hit or miss kinda foundation that people will have to just try for their self and experiment with what to use with it. Looks beautiful on you Sofia.
I’ve used this foundation many times. Without primer and with. Regardless my skin eats it up😂 it is gone by the end of the day. I’m really dry so I think the skincare aspects of it and the hydration it just evaporates into my skin. It’s pretty. But it’s not my favorite. I have more foundations that I get more compliments on and even look better. Loved your review! You always so on it💖😊🤗

Your code for Sweed saves me so much money! I wanted to try the foundation, & I was still thinking about their air blush that you featured in a previous video. THANK YOU SO MUCH for super discounts & for your foundation recommendations! Also, long ago you introduced me to my now favorite makeup brand of all time: RMS beauty. You're the absolute greatest ever on RUclips!!! Many, many thank yous❣️🥰😍
Hey! YOU ROCK…perfect most informative review! I love the foundation, Im 57, love the dewy look, consistency, etc. And I’m more of a light coverage girl as well but this stuff to me is amazing.😊
Great demo!! Especially with coverage, wear time and other alternative formulas. Definitely want to consider this and the Fenty foundations. I have dehydrated skin but am also intrigued by the Sweed loose powder foundation! That brand overall seems very well-formulated 🥰
I liked it - I have combo skin and yes it gives you a glow but it didn’t overly shine up to me over time, like so many other foundations do. I did half my face with loose powder in my demo and you couldn’t tell the difference.
Hi Sofia, good to see you! I have mature skin and don't particularly care for super glowy foundations. My favorite foundation and best shade match is Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint 2N. I love the finish of it. If I want something a little more glowy I'll wear Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation 2N. I also have the Prada Foundation MN40. Each of these three has a different undertone so I'll also swap them out depending on if I'm going for a cool tone look or a warm look. I tend to stick with a product if I like it and it works for me. It gets costly trying out new products that may or may not work well for me. I am interested in trying the new Dior Stick Foundation. I used up 2 bottles of the Chanel VitaLumiere Aqua, B30 & B32. I didn't think either shade was a particularly good match so I haven't tried any other Chanel foundations. This Patrick Ta Foundation will be a pass for me. I would feel awkward with that much shine on my face. It's just not what I'm used to. I also don't like a lot of skin care in my foundation because it can be too much with my other active skin care products. Thanks for the review and take care!
You are right! It does remind me of the high end, skincare foundation types, very La Prarie, Chanel etc. It made my skin look like I had a facial (even with a soft matte primer)…that post facial plump and juicy look, which was pretty remarkable. Like I looked amazing. But, as someone with oily skin, day to day during the fall/winter it isn’t the practical choice. Like even with primer and setting with powder if you put sunglasses on, it just slipped off. But it is so beautiful and I think oily ladies, especially us older ones, can use it. Just, it’s here for a good time, not for a long time 😂 I am saving it for warm travel or casual and/or short days. Great review as always! ❤️

Maybe it’s not cheap, but a heck of a lot cheaper than Chanel Sublimage le Teint, $165. I wondering if it’s similar. I will definately give it a try! The Chanel one in the jar, is too a little matte for me. I live in the Miami area, thank God, cos my skin is very dry, and it’s very humid here.
And Cle de Peau, it's your fault Sofia, and Michele's fault 😂no, its my own choice, and the Chanel Sublimage, it's a big jar i have it more than a year i think, and i do not wear makeup everyday but these foundations never ever let me down! Also the Suqqu, the black jar, the Chantecaille in the jar as well!❤
Hi Sofia, I will forget for a moment that I really dislike Patrick Ta brand. Looking at your skin after applying all foundations, the side with Chanel and Cle de Peau looks much better in the sense that on the side with PT foundation I see a shiny film with a sheer cover and on the other side the skin looks healthy, perfected and beautiful. In my opinion Chanel Sublimage foundation has a very subtle fragrance smell (almost undetectable) and not even close to the other Chanel foundations or the heavily fragranced Chanel new blushes. A few weeks ago a friend of mine bought it (after I recommended the Chantecaille foundation 😂 ) and she told me that it’s fragrance free because she couldn’t detect any smell in that sense. I told her to check the ingredients list because in the Sublimage line only the concealer is fragrance free. At the end she admitted she was wrong but for sure it’s just an extremely small quantity of fragrance there. I think this foundation from cle de peau must be discontinued because they have no light shades for fair skin. Only darker tones just guessing but no fair shades I could find.
Patrick Ta?? Better than luxury products??? It IS a luxury product. All that highend stuff are expensive things that do mostly the same things as drugstore products for half the price. You all act like brand names like Revlon, L'Oréal, Maybelline etc... have never put research into developing their products....then along come fashion designers and individuals and slap their brand on stuff, and its suddenly totally superiot just because they charge rediculous prices!!??? 😂😂😂😂

I have one more question, but it’s not about this foundation is about the Chanel. Does it work well with cream blushes?
Hi Sofia,
I will forget for a moment that I really dislike Patrick Ta brand. Future Skin and the skin Tint from Chantecaille are so perfect I don't know why I'd want to change. I fall into your "mature skin" category, but I'm combo with a more oily T-Zone. Future Skin hits all the marks. For forehead and T-Zone I pat in some Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm in Universal. Don't like to look powdery.
I do have occasional breakouts and redness though, and I tried something that is really working for me. I got the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm in #3. Right now I'm still in Vanilla with Chantecaille and it's perfect. Just a bit neutralizes redness without looking like I'm wearing cover. Also glides on over a blemish without looking cakey, and lasts. I'll probably try a lighter neutral color when I shift to Alabaster for winter. Just wanted to share because I don't like green color correctors for redness. They always look fake on me. So this solution was a nice surprise. Thanks for the video!💚

Which do you like better, the Chanel or the cle de peau?
I think I like the Cle de Peau better
Ok but what mascara do you have on in this video?
It's all listed in the description box :)

I tried that one years ago and I didn't think it was worth the price. It's very similar to the Fenty one to be honest

I am not getting this foundation. I don't like his products 😅😂
I think this foundation from cle de peau must be discontinued because they have no light shades for fair skin. Only darker tones just guessing but no fair shades I could find.
I have noticed that it depends on the site. It could be that they are restocking or maybe refreshing the formula
Thank you for this video. I always appreciate your insight and the way you deliver the information. I am a Big Fan!
I am so glad!!
Patrick Ta? PASS
It's just too sticky for my likes. Keep trying.
