What coating did you place on the board, where do I get it, and does it dry hard or soft?
It's called UV Curable Solder Mask Repairing Paint or Conformal Coating. I got mine from MobileSentrix. It's thick and wet, like paint consistency and you need to cure (harden) it with UV light.
Did you use water or chemicals to clean the usb?
Alcohol :)
