I have both of those S.O. lights: two of the large ones on the bar. Thanks for the heads up on the charger! Also, on the back of the large light, as you know, is the charge indicator. It is a small bar graph, just press and Hold the on button and the small squares will illuminate with the charge status. I leave mine plugged in on the floor into a power stip, and by the sound of it, a good place to keep it! Thanks for the vid. I know what you mean regarding the small light, they are great, but because they are relatively light it is easy to leave them stuck to something! (they almost never fall). Try connecting a bright colored bungie cord to it and let it dangle. That way you will see the colored cord dangling before you let the car down from the lift.
I literally got an led shop light and rigged it up to hang from the hood. I gave up on cordless under hood lights. At first I propped it up but have since created mounts. Plus it's way brighter.
I keep that same aluminum housing Snap-on they are great but the Snap-on Underhood lights I had to pass up cause I believe some are only 800 Lumens that's why I went with the Milwaukee with the 1300 Lumens I had it for quite some time and has worked well I use 6.0 Batteries for it and it really gets great run time ... Especially off the 6 you can use the 4.0 which are good also but the 6 is the best they are very bright it was well worth the money and has become very handy I use to be on the Snap-on truck every week eyeballing the Snap-on but another thing that turned me off about them i use to see them on ebay for sale like crazy like seeing a new vehicle straight from the dealership in a junkyard
@@montevallomustang They have i haven't had to replace any ...You know sometimes I think individuals may unfortunately come into a bad batch weather it be battery or tool im not quite sure what it be ive never had any issues with any of my equipment with the exception of my M18 Super Sawzall and M18 angle Grinder and 3/8" Right angle impact but they are fairly new and I have not yet begun to use them but overall I never had to warranty anything just yet
@@michaelstjohn6086 Its decent in my videos I use it to illuminate the area and inn the videos I'm using it on low settings because on high its so bright that it gives off a particular type stream line glare into the camera lens when I'm recording
Nice! My instructions say that the battery indicator only comes on when it drops below 25%. Im hoping this thing will die soon so I have a reason to buy a better one.
@@montevallomustang Funny you mentioned the Mac under hood light, I have the one that takes the Dewalt batteries and while it does seem flimsy, I love it!

I wish they still made it in hiviz, the yellow is a lot easier to see
Get the milwaukee under hood. Its indestructible and bright
I found one of those little lights under a jeep and have almost lost it myself now many times 😂

I wondered how bright the Milwaukee light really is.
The snap on underhood light I have is 1500 lm. I don't want the Milwaukee because I don't think the m12 batteries can handle the abuse

Dang man what a debacle hope it works out this time!!
How much to upgrade to the newer model?
There are a couple different versions, they cost between 305 and 350
The Mac light takes the same style charger and seems much better, I use it to charge the Snappy light.
Hold the power light button down for battery life

The one I have just plugs into the wall, it has no clamping force and falls all the time
