Rest In Peace to doom and dilla. They were both taken before their time. Dilla madlib and doom make up like 99% of the music I listen to. It’s really sad that madlib is the only one left but we gotta be thankful for what we got. We can’t lose madlib man. We just can’t

Nothing is going to happen to you. At least nothing new. It’s strange but I get the feeling Madlib doesn’t know how talented of a rapper he is. This album is in my top Hip-Hop/Rap albums of all time. It will never get old.
No he does not have any clue. I mean the whole reason he created Quas was because people were making fun of his voice being too deep. So I’m sure he’s got some real self esteem issues.
For the small few "I hope " that DONT know this fact and what's going on here Both voices are madlibs' the Quasimoto high Pitch voice is Madlib talking very slowly and then he later speeds it up
@@petrmichalik2199 You wouldn't believe it but my cousin who is, in my mind one of the greatest hip-hop heads (in my circle..which is a very small one by the way lol but) as far as hip hop knowledge, he taught me ALOT and exposed my ear to a plethora of hip hop artists and general hip hop knowledge which put me on a whole new journey which made me want to start creating and discovering more as far as production lyrical stamina breath control and even singing and song writing. But anyhow, come to find out just maybe some while ago EVEN HE, my cousin, didn't know quasimoto was madlib until I expressed it to him. I know it's insane. I had to show him the redbull interview but I knew years before as I was listening and I said to myself," That man is rapping with himself!" It had occurred to me because of the fact that EVEN MF DOOM and other seemingly introverted rhymesayers had been seen before in person, but quasimoto NEVER showed face unless someone came out and was wearing that costume AND EVEN THEN the person in the costume never spoke or rhymed. It was evident years ago. But in some people's defense, 1: If you weren't an avid listener of Madlib or kept up with his work you just wouldn't be able to tell and 2: Madlib did so well at keeping that alter ego as its own being. Which made it believable that Quasimoto was indeed a totally different person. But yeah my little 2 cents 🙏✌God bless

i've always wondered if Madlib was warning against reliance on weed with some of his songs (this one and also Lootpack's Weededed) despite loving to smoke (Sparkdala).
The end of Seasons Change has a sample that talks about that stuff. I think he sneaks those kinds of lyrics in from time to time just to keep things real and remind ppl that substance abuse is a cruel reality
Its crazy to see the similarity between Madlib and Mac Miller. Go check out Mac's Delusional Thomas, its very similar to Madlib's concept of Quasimoto, obviously Madlib's version is better but Mac is on some tight shit atm
***** Naa you can't say it was bullshit man, it was a legit mixtape. As I said, madlib is on another level obv, but you gotta recognize the fact that delusional Thomas has got potential
The concept, i do agree was copied but the delievery and style of beats, and lyrics are totally different, the only same parts is the high pitch voice and the fact that its an alter ego, but macs got like 5 different alter egos, and as much as I love madlib, he didn't exactly come up with the alter ego concept. However, as I already said, i agree with you bro, madlib's quasimoto was on another level totally, but this doesn't make mac's delusional Thomas bad imo
***** naa i understand you bro, i used to hate him, but if you dig deep he's got some pretty tight tracks. He's like 2 different artists in one, there's the shit sellout mac miller, which everyone hates, and then there's the underground mixtapes which he produces and spits and they're actually quite sick. Look up macadelic on datpiff bro

"A Kid ? An old Man? Prolly all three."
in the original it says "a kid? an old man? drugs? probably all three"
"'cause ain't nothing under a rock that I ain't seen."
There is so much information/knowledge in that one line. I guarantee you there are a lot of people who can’t decipher what he is saying.
You know that production nasty when you get goosebumps every listen.
Honestly probably in my personal top 10 tracks of all time. Holds a special place in my heart.
