@@kawikalavin8353 "domesday" is an ancient English tradition of recording what we might now call a census; every ten years of recording where people live and how (you had "domesbooks" and such). Words like "doom" came from this, as determining where people end up in life. The lyrics from the doom to the womb to the tomb seem pretty straightforward from that, imo.
I was travelling alone in Europe when I first discovered MF DOOM. I got hooked on his songs. His words and beats carried me through train stations, city streets, and airports from Brussels to Sarajevo. I was hooked. Still am. Everytime I think of DOOM brings me back to that time. His music will last forever
That's honestly really dope man! My dad showed me DOOM's music at a young age and have loved it ever since. Recently uploaded a tribute to DOOM about a year after his passing, that man really was something else...
One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Simply haven’t heard much like it. The melody and clash between the fast lyrics and the laidback calm beat is so heavenly.
_"A killer who love children_ _one who is well-skilled in destruction as well as building"_ Rest in Power. Forever the greatest supervillain to grace the music scene.
For me, MF DOOM is definitely up there with Biggie Smalls, the Wu Tang Clan, and all other you could ever consider legends, man. Something about his voice, the technicality of every verse and its hidden intricacy feels so beautiful and holds a complexity that still sounds somewhat raw and emotional, as if its was just made up on the spot.
every time i listen to this song it reminds me of my friend zavion. His childhood was very troubled but he said after he met me he finally felt at peace. towards the end of his life he became more and more invested into this gang life. He met a girl and settled down with her and got her pregnant. 2 month later he died. i remember sitting down and talking to him listening to this. every time i listen to this song it brings a tear to my eye he was a father figure to me. RIP zae and RIP MF DOOM

I was born in 1987. I mainly grew up with the late 90s and early 2000s hip hop. Mf doom was apart of my adolescence along with the whole stones throw family. DOOM dying , is like a part of my childhood dying. His death literally tore a hole in my heart. His music resonates with me in a very special way , much like j dilla , madlib , nujabes. I'm scared. My era is getting older, and time eats away at our body and souls. Tomorrow is not promised. I hope my generation of hip hop strives and drops as many joints as possible. To quote dr Seuss: " dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened".
I was born in 96. Grew up listening to Stones Throw, Rhymesayers, Duck Down, Fondle Em, Tommy Boy, etc. Promise I'll continue your generation in spirit. This is the music I love.

For me finding this interesting, masked artist. Who is figuratively but in some ways actually the antihero of hip hop🎷☯️
And being so drawn into the space his work creates for me, in my mind. That I'm able to completely detach from that cookie cutter highschool what I believed to be bs. Doomsday gave me alot more joy than any honor roll, or forgettable group of so called friends.
I for one know DOOMs legacy will never be under appreciated. I know this with certainty because Hes going to be my children's introduction to hip hop.
The same way tupac was mine, the same way groover washington junior was for my dad. DOOM isn't just another rapper. The brother has literally taken up a role in my family tree.
Rest peacefully Daniel.
Hey. I dont know a lot of Chinese but I know that 1 character is pronounced dà. Hope u have a nice life brethren.
Its almost unreal how good his wordplay and how intricate rapping was and he does it so effortlessly and the fact he self produced this album all on his own shows how amazingly talented Daniel was. Such an amazing artist and amazing album
DOOM isn’t dead.. just hit play!

We lost a true artist in the genre... I can't think of anyone who can fill his shoes.
IMO this has to be one of the best songs ever created, the beat, the sample, the scratches, and the lyrics, everything's perfect as it is, the way it fades out just to come back beautifully
I don’t want to sound like a prick, but I never heard nor recognized this man’s music until I heard he died. He has a unique and great sound, especially for someone who doesn’t listen to rap. He’s truly talented and I’m sad that he’s dead, and that I only had the opportunity to experience his music when he died.
His music is the kind to live forever, so in a way you're still early.
you're good I never listen to doom much but I'm here
Same his music hit my heart very fast
Greatest rapper of all time, did you dive any further into his stuff since this?
Hey that's how it is with most artists. People cant appreciate their work till they're dead

With this song alone, he's better than most rappers and their whole career.

Just make sure to tell others, all caps when you say his name. RIP MF DOOM
Berlin loves MF DOOM
That's honestly really dope man! My dad showed me DOOM's music at a young age and have loved it ever since. Recently uploaded a tribute to DOOM about a year after his passing, that man really was something else...
Man that sounds like bliss.
Omg im from Sarajevoo ❤❤❤
One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Simply haven’t heard much like it. The melody and clash between the fast lyrics and the laidback calm beat is so heavenly.

@@jimmykush9772 He died on Halloween, it was announced today by his wife.
Came here after hearing about his passing. Rest in Peace to one of the most versatile, lnfluential and most prominent rappers of all time..

I cried man tears reading about his passing, moments away from the new year when it was announced. I still mourn his loss as it genuinely feels like I lost a family member. DOOM has been my favorite rapper since my 20's and I always thought he would be here for many years to come. Truly a musical genius and hip-hop will never be the same with him gone. Rest well with your son and brother, king - ALL CAPS FOREVER ✌🙏
I feel like the low video quality and black and white footage perfectly fits DOOM.
Proper footage for his legacy
It feels like downloading a low quality video before the 2010s and that's perfectly imperfect
Why am I only discovering this now? This is unreal hip hop.

I was born in
All caps when you say that name
I was born in 96. Grew up listening to Stones Throw, Rhymesayers, Duck Down, Fondle Em, Tommy Boy, etc. Promise I'll continue your generation in spirit. This is the music I love.
