Listen up people who watched this . Do yourself a favor and order a solenoid body filter plate. He still has his stuck on the solenoid body and Tom assembly. The filter has a bead of rubber which will sometimes delaminate or even RIP apart when separating the valve body. It's the piece with all the oval ports in the video.
Nice video, more instructional this time on showing what you're doing. I have to say you had me laughing when you made the mistake of forgetting the little button the second time.

Great video! I have a 2012 Traverse that has codes P0989 and P0872. She bucks sometimes at highway cruising speed. This looks like an easy fix. Do I need to reprogram anything after this or would a simple battery disconnect/reconnect or code clearing be ok?
My 2010 Traverse has the delay when put into drive, and the problem of not up shifting pass 2nd gear every morning. You have to stop and put in park then go or use the manual button upshot to get it pass this issue then move shifter into drive after u get pass 2nd gear. But it doesn't throw any codes...why not? Does it have to throw codes to still be the disc problem?
did you ever fix that, i have a 2010 acadia with that VERY SAME problem, it has 212K miles on the transmission and works fine otherwise. A pro shop told me its a speed sensor inside the transmission itself.

Definitely sounds like what's going on with my traverse. I think I'm gonna try it myself. Just curious, how much would you charge for this job? Great video

I suspect that, like myself, most viewers of videos like these ARE NOT MECHANICS. At best we are intelligent and brave enough to tackle a variety of repairs using excellent video instruction. So when this guy skips over details like how the small white plastic inserts have 3-contact points that need to be aligned properly-it isn’t helpful. Also when he uses the tool to insert that black rubber seals he holds it off camera instead of showing how it has to be placed in the tool so the top edge goes in evenly not crooked, so that it works correctly when inserting the seals into the pressure switch. Of course if he makes these videos for other mechanics I’d like to know who they are so I can avoid them. That’s because I’m of the opinion that a mechanic worth $50+ an hour should already posses this knowledge. But that’s just me. Or is it? Fortunately for me I watch as many videos as I can on a given repair and caught those details in other videos.
Can you tell me more about the orientation of the disks under the film. Also, would you know where to find one if one was missing like what just happened to me.

a 2010 should be a 2nd gen trans and not have pressure switchs but that's not always the case the trans could be a late production 09 or used unit could be installed the only way to know for sure is to take it out
It has pressure switches. Ordered and changed. Two of them were busted. The hard part was disassemble and reassemble. But car shifts great now! Thanks so much for this video. Transmission shop said trans was shot and needed new one at$3000. Lol. This video and $55 parts. Done.

When you put the new seals are the flush with the TCM? Or are the popped out a bit?
They stick out slightly so they squish a bit to seal when installed. Same as any other oring or rubber gasket
