My advice is grow more hair on your face and comb it about 2x a day. Just like 3 strokes in a downward direction. I use natural shampoo with different oils in it and coconut oil on my face. It doesn't take much. What you did was silly.

not everybody can grow a full beard like that some people just have pubs on the face no matter how much natural product , how often i brush or comb just doesn't work I brush/comb my beard every time I brush my waves and I have 360s so what you're saying is irrelevant haven't cut my facial hair in over a year no change.
I will say that, as a black man - Some of us have hair that is so curly, that before the hair gets any real lift, it's just curling back to the face and breaking. And to use heat-related treated methods are only doing a lesser form of what the relaxer (in this particular case) is going to do. Using the relaxer allows the hair a chance to come away from the face and get some length. By the time the natural comes back, you will have enough length that curling back to the face won't be an issue to break the hair, so long as you maintain it with a comb and stuff.

Spot snipping the curled up parts in my beard on the sides of my face with scissors does the trick for me. The chin part is more manageable.
I think this was applied more to skin than hair. As a (black) man with a beard I can understand wanting to straighten it, it looks nicer, is immediately longer (as my hair is extremely curly) and just easier to manage but this guy does not have a beard. This is what many people grow in 2 weeks.

Just give your beard time to grow out longer. Buy products like beard oil or beard balm to put in it to give it more shine and softness. Get a lineup regularly, have your barber trim any stray hairs with scissors, and just let it grow. Be patient.

It looks ok the first 2 days. And then it starts to stand up again when the new curly growth comes in, then those straight hairs start to point outward, which looks worse now because the hairs are straighter and to top it off it smell like chemicals.

It's a interesting idea I have a much fuller beard and never considered that. For yourself I don't think you have enough hair yet to really tell the difference I see a subtle change I may try this and let you know my results.

All you gotta do is comb it bro. I comb my beard at least 3 or 4 times a day and I also use beard oil and balm that I apply once a day. No need for perming your face and burning your shit.

Good for you man, we live in such a hypocritical society. Why are people bashing you when women and men perm all the time? If its wrong for your beard, it's wrong period. Every one wants to improve themselves one way or another, its one of the most lucrative industries. I see it on the same level as hair dies. It's a harmful chemical and you are applying it on your body. My beard and hair is now very grey and I will never die it, but I won't insult someone who does, that's just dumb.

After you grow a beard, organic beard care products does the magic, with a simple brush comb or whatever else you wanna use but first step is letting the beard grow, you should take a good look at our women and realize the real reason weave is so popular, all them chemicals including the one's they don't list in the product, keep jacking around with them perms your face will be bald like they're heads and your head, seems like you like your beard, them perms won't let you get a chance to love it.
