This video was a joy to watch, Chris. Your playing is beautiful and you weave your words alongside it in such a listeneble way. It's clear you're passionate about the piano and it shows. More please.

Thanks so much for that lovely comment. I am genuinely passionate about pianos, and the more I sat and played this one, the more I got sucked in by it - as you can see in my playing! It's a pleasure to share with everyone. Chris

Hi Chris, nice demonstration. How do you know the action has actual hammers? I've been trying to find a model or picture of the action but haven't had any luck. The specification sheet only mentions the Grand Touch. I would have thought that if it had a hammer action Yamaha would want to advertise it. Cheers. Keep up the good work.

Nice instrument, but the problem is the market has been saturated with too many digital pianos at different price points. What is the difference between this and the Yamaha NU1XA. Appreciate the latter is a hybrid, but at a similar price point what is the point in the two if they are so much similar to an acoustic with digital advantages?

Hi Lee, you're right, there are so many models out there to choose from now. Even a glance at the model codes can be headache-inducing!
You might find my video comparing a Yamaha CLP to the NU1 helpful here as it'll help you understand the differences between those ranges: ruclips.net/video/B_kg_wnEgfA/видео.html
Once you've viewed that, watch my video comparing the Yamaha CLP & CSP ranges here: ruclips.net/video/4hp5SFfpSCo/видео.html Hopefully, by the end, you'll be much better clued up on the differences between them all!
Incidentally, neither the CLP nor the NU1 series (including NU1XA) will incorporate tech like tablets and smartphones in the way the CSP-295 does. In particular, they don't have the Stream Lights Learning System that I mentioned in the video above. The CSP-295 is the newest of all these models and is the first 'Smart Piano' to offer the same quality touch and feel as the top-end CLP or N series models do.
Hope that helps. You can see loads more of my articles, reviews, and videos over on our Newsroom page here: www.epianos.co.uk/newsroom/

So this CSP 295 with its Grand Touch offers as good touch and feel as the CLP and the N series (N3X, N1X, etc)?

Great video, can I ask, does the iPad have to be connected to the internet to use it with the piano?
