- I wrote and directed a little short film called "Engaged". It stars Mike Vecchione and Katie Hannigan. They're both fantastic. My friend Dan Hirshon shot it and edited it. It's a drama. There's lots of comedy on the channel, if you prefer that skip this one. I'm proud of it. I hope you like. If you do, like, share and subscribe. Thanks! #ShortFilm #Comedy #Drama #tuesdayswithstories
This is the weirdest episode of Tuesdays with Stories ever.
Can you imagine Joe or Mark betraying one another to go off galavanting in South America?! The nerve! The betrayal!
Kevin Hart is being really weird
This made me very uncomfortable, which is another way of saying I loved every second
This is just like how this conversation would play out in real life and the dude is hitting every nail on the head.
“What about my needs during this time?”
Danger Will Robinson!! Danger!!!!
This is why short films are so perfect. Any more of this energy and I would crawl out of my skin. Absolutely great! Did it's job!
Amazing 15 mins straight, Joe keeps topic so limited without ever being repetitive, constructing such a realistic flow of someone processing & responding to such a life-altering announcement
Took a while but I came. The part when the doorbell rang and the setting of the dinner table was fabulous. #Bravo #Tuesgay #TuesdaysWithStories
The cupboard was bare...
This is the realest dialogue I’ve heard in a looong time. Absolutely amazing!
Wow, that was unbelievable. Excellent writing and two great performances. 15 minutes of raw nervous energy.
Every moment was captivating
So she didn't think him being celibate for a year would present any sort of problem? Piece of work. Great job, Joe. Really enjoyed this.
Luke List killed it damn. Way ups my expectations for 4th of July!!
I heard about that 4th of July project going around, what is it about?
Awesome. I'm not young anymore but I've felt every emotion-change-escalation here. A much needed conversation to reaffirm love; beautiful.
Bell rings, Mike rises to retrieve the food order. Katie sets the table. Tears streamin.
Super well done, 2 lovers meeting at wrong times of their lives.
I love how quick the conversation spiraled out from confusion to curiosity to jealous and straight up sadness.
Well done 👏
The dialogue felt so real. I knew Vecchione can act seriously but I didn't know Katie had chops too.
This was very realistic. Been through something similar. Great acting
Really exhausted every possible camera movement capturing a couple having an argument. Nicely acted.
Kept waiting for Joe to Kramer through the door and yell "Content!"
That was incredible!!
Too real. Great job Joe!
You know what have been better if you would have had Mike vecchione and Dan Soder do the same exact role but thier only roommates
that's what they call art imitating life
Always agree about family planning BEFORE getting married. These 2 should go their separate ways immediately.
Dramatic, realistic, well done.
I am impressed Mr List. Within a minute I was balls deep and feeling wronged. Turns out comedians can act. All killed it.
Her pretending this is normal and that she isn't resentful over not having a kid is infuriating LOL
This is such a powerful short film. I still think about it over a year after it came out.
Perfectly captures the feeling when having a fight like that in a relationship
The King of Content! Loved it!
Well done Joe!
Painfully realistic..
You're not a my phone died kinda guy. Terrific.
Soooo human! Love it
It appears Vecchione has been investigating some acting classes.
Fantastic work all around. Nicely done Joe and great job Mike.
Very well written. Great acting. Enjoyed it.
This was FANTASTIC, Joe! So much tension and uncertainty that most all of us have all felt in failed relationships perfectly depicted on-screen.
Joe this is incredible, thank you
Ah i thought Joe would show up to act, but thats a different movie.
This was good. Engaging and well acted.
Also, "going to South America to find myself"
The guy was right on the money. Well written.
Wow. This is pretty fudging awesome mr.list
Love to see more of these
powerful.
love seeing comedians expand their craft of social commentary
Joe this is incredible. Felt undeniably real. Well done!
Joe loves film. Joe makes film. I'm in!
Mike Vecchione is great at acting turns out. very convincing
IMO using comedians to do drama is pure genius ala Vince Gilligan. Love it
The layers! I love it
There is something very real about this and it has a humor to it. Like an episode of Louie.
The KING of content.
Wow that felt so familiar that it was uncomfortable. Well done!
Mike Vecchione - one of the most underrated joke writers in the world.
Good job Joe!! Can’t wait for 4th of July
Good stuff… can’t wait for the movie
Wow this is great actually. Would definitely see a Joe List movie
Wow. This is great. And here's the thing: Mike Vecchione - who's hiliarious as a comedian - should really, really, really get into drama - TV, film, stage. He is absolutely fantastic in this. He just has it.
Not me waiting 15 minutes for a joke that never came. Really impressed Joe's dramatic skills though
Good short film by the way. Thanks for the upload.
Great job Joe
Loved it Joe, keen for the feature!
I am sooo looking forward to your film this July!
Joe is on fire!
Joe critiquing directors, and then revealing this camera work, is his funniest bit ever.
This is very good. I am sorry to say SURPRISINGLY good. But I AM surprised how good it is.
This is impressive. Editing specfically stood-out.
great job Joe!
That was captivating, great work Joe! Huge Tuesgay and can’t wait for your film to come out!
King of content !
Good job Joe!
Holy phuck, caught me off guard wanting more, really good
drinking the liquid death like its a beer is the funniest part
After watching this I can't wait to watch Joe's movie when it comes out
Really enjoyed it! Well done all! Bring on the sequel :)
Can't wait for Engaged Pt 2 - more engaged
KING OF CONTENT BACK AT IT AGAIN
Hilarious.
Bravo! Bravo! 🔥🔥🔥
Solid writing Joe. Vechione crushed it too.
This is fantastic! I know Joe never reads the comments but I hope he sees how positively people are responding to his work.
Lmao...they all say that...he reads some comments
based on TWS i think he reads comments
That was incredible man!!! Congrats! Super real and poignant! Nailed it
This was great. I can relate to all of this, I hate it and love it
Also nice apartment joe
This was great… I had no idea what to expect and this was really well done I feel like (with obvious variations) the template for this conversation is happening in many households as we speak. Hats off to you all for this short 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Dude, that was fantastic. I feel for both characters, really well done
This is so good. They both did really well. I'm feeling this.
Great job Joe and co! Loved it
Great stuff, well done! I believe Mike and Katie are a couple in real life.
This is good! Well done Joe!
Oh Joe.
I never imagined you having heavy days for some reason. Idk why.
I feel where this is coming from. Like deep in your soul. This is amazing. I thought it’d be average at best.
Whole new appreciation for you as a human.
This makes me feel so tense. Which is an accomplishment for anybody making narrative driven thing.
I know you don’t need complements from a random fella like me. But this blew me away. I’m happy you had the balls to make something like this.
I can totally see you making a huge serious movie with somebody like Pawel Pogorzelski. I think y’all would be a great team.
Mike vecchione very well acted dude.
This was great man. Can’t wait for fourth of July!
The framing caught my attention. Well done all around.
Wow!!! 😲 The ending is heavy
I went into this honestly expecting to cringe through it only because I know how hard films are to make, especially on a low budget. Naturalistic dialogue is also very hard to find even in Hollywood films, but this nails it. The writing is great, the acting is great. Wow, Joe and the gang really pulled it off. I would love to see him continue doing films.
This is fantastic!
Really enjoyed this.
Keep up the great work Luke! Love ya
rockin out! love it
Great stuff. Nice work, Joe List.
Really well done done Mr List. Loved the editing and acting as well. We need stuff like this today.
King of content does it again! Very impressed and can’t wait for 4th of July.
Ah so this is the big movie he’s been talking about
Wow this was good. Looking forward to more episodes. #teammike
gotta say I'm on Matt's side here. Sounds like she's just trying to break up with him.
I agree, it feels manipulative. Her plan is too vague. She doesn’t know which country or city? Can she even get a work visa? Does she speak the language?
She feels lonely while he’s at work - how lonely will she feel in South America?
She wants to have children but it’s not an option, how about working with children? She could tutor English as a second language - that would be an adventure.
I feel invested in their relationship and want them to be happy together. ♥️♥️
Wow you guys are clueless! The whole fight was because he had his phone off because it died a couple weeks ago... she responds with your not the "let your phone die type of guy".
Her insecurities and lack of communicating that she had suspicion he was doing something else during that time caused her to create an elaborate story to make him either say "no don't go" or be completely cool with it which will then support her crazy thoughts that he was doing something wrong during the phone being off time...
It's neat getting a to have a peek at Joe's apartment.
