Great video! I think the orange band just below the horizontal middle of the shirt looks like a head-on view of a flying dragon. A little line work with fabric markers... I love those serendipitous moments.
The colors are so vibrant after washing!! I made the mistake of buying from another company. When I washed it, the shirt was so dull. Definitely ordering from you guys from now on.
Hey man love this content, very interesting.Definitely gonna try this out.Just very difficult getting the actual dye in South Africa. Please make more videos
Thanks for showing me very easy way of using the rubber band, I use to fight to place them on, you just slide it on, thanks for this great teaching, when i try this technique it does not have this great outline, now you have teach me I will surely try this, keep up the great job and teaching, you are a great teacher, yes will love to know about the shirt you have on how did you do it?
Great videos! I really want to give this a try! Do you wash and dry the new t-shirts before soaking in soda ash? Are the shirts 100% cotton or a cotton blend?
I was really hoping to find a video on how you made that Dead Head lightning bolt shirt you're wearing. I'm trying to make a dye that has 4 triangles that make an emblem in the middle of the shirt. A small void or light colored triangle in the center surrounded by a thick banded center piece triangle (imagine the first two tringles is actually a large triangle with a hole in it... A triangle donut lol) and then two vertical half triangles protruding outwards from behind on either side (one left and one right) of the main triangle. I guess what I'm asking is how you band the t shirt in order to achieve the points of the triangle and then switch directions mid shirt to start the next line. I feel like I could employ the same method you used for that lightning bolt. Anyway thanks in advance, love your dyes?
Can you tell me what make of dye you use, it seems much more vivid than the “Tulip dye” we get here in the uk for the purpose, which is very weak, I have even tried adding only half the water to mix it, but to no avail. I need a stronger dye which is available in this country the UK. Suggestions please.
I bought scarlet because i thought it was primary but he just said fuchsia was and i looked it up and it wasn't the same red i saw. All i want to know is did i buy the rite one
Where do u buy ur colors and what brand do u use coz when I do my shirts after I rinse them all the dye comes out and looks very bad please what dye do use and where can I buy them . I like doing tie and dye for fun Thanks
I love to watch it bleed into different colors i mixed my oranges and purple and blue and green I have been turning acrylic paint into tie dye the colors are awesome I mixed this very pretty blue i wish I used a large container . Is there a really good color guide a person can use to pick colors they want . I have a pretty pink and purple .
Want to know how you did the shirt you're wearing (along with every other person that commented!) and also the alien you're wearing in the beginning of the red white and blue video.
Thanks for the lesson. I wanna ask. I noticed the colours are mixed with cold water. What's the name of the colour and how can I get them. Because I do a lots too But I do mine with hot water. How can I get the one mixed with cold water?
Longer soak in your dye and in a bag with heat (like a ziplock left in sun) then (you can optionally take your shirt out of the bag or ziplock and lay it on top of a rack or strainer and hose color straight down while still rubber banned, until water is clear or clearish.) Last, do a cold wash (with other dyed shirts or alone) in washer i usually ser it on a quick wash about 15 min and only add vinegar NO soap or detergent. Then it’s ready to wear. Next time you wash you can use detergent but be wary of colors bleeding on other clothes.
Yah its a completely different shirt...when he. Colored it ....it was all scrunched up in a tight circle...when he went to unveil it not only was it in a longer formation but the shirt size was clearly bigger...already seems sketchy plus in almost EVERY comment they ask about his shirt he's wearing and he doesn't even answer anyone
Please sir, I bought my granddaughter a pink hoodie. She is into old vinyl & the 70’s. I want to make her a very unique shirt for Christmas. Can you help me? I have never tie dyed before. Where do I buy soda ash & do I just use Rit dye! Thank you.
Anavah 4Yeshua you can buy tie dye kits at michaels or Walmart usually year round and around summer time you can even find small kits at Walgreens or Ross. Soda ash sometimes comes in the kits if not you can buy a big jug for less than $10 I think mine was $6-7 at Home Depot. You will only need a couple of tablespoons at a time. Also you it is called Sodium Bicarbonate at Home Depot or similar shops and usually found in pool care dept.
Dont forget your coupons at Michael do a quick search online and usually will be able to find at least a %40 discount Non-sale items on most days of the week.
seems like the shirt he colors is different then the one he washed. the colored one is smaller and only has 6 rubber bands; the one he rinses looks alot bigger and has about 12 rubber bands on it - what gives BAIT AND SWITCH
