One of the most soothing voices I have ever heard! You are a huge gift for this community!!💞💞
"They turned pale with rage"...aaaannnnndddd....maybe a lil blood loss LOL
Wow! Cinderella’s dad was an ass, he just let her stepmother and stepsisters treat her like crap.
He did!
I may be late for the party on this one, but your llvoice is so lovely and soothing! I love your fairytale story telling series
Thanks for the video, Kate! Hope all is well, and have a good day/night!
Thank you very much, I think those fairy tales are always so relaxing (with all the asmrists) :).
I love this Kate and that looks like an amazing book. I am really interested in Grimm's tales (particularly the earliest, darkest versions) and an old friend of mine has just self published a book of transhumanist/sci-fi retellings of them called "Futures Bright, Futures Grimm" (available on Amazon I believe if you are interested and no, I'm not on commission). Keep being wonderful and creating delightful sounds to sooth the mind.
Thanks so much Scott!
Hi, is this video and others are ending with ads that wake me right up. Anything you can do about just keeping the ones in the front?
YT put ads at the end of all my videos and it's taking me to time to remove them all one by one.
I've heard bits of this version before when I was a child, but I remained hesitant on hearing the full story. I am so thankful that I waited and you were the one who ended up reading it to me! Thank you Kate! This was a long awaited story waiting to be heard.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This one actually has a kind of funny story behind my first reading of it. I used to read fairy tales when I was a kid, and I had a book of Grimms' Fairy Tales that was the Lucy Crane translation. I would read this at night sometimes, but I would skip over any stories if the title didn't sound interesting or there weren't pictures that grabbed my attention. I had always heard about there being a Brothers Grimm version of Cinderella, but I didn't have it... or so I thought. When I was 13 I got a library card for the first time, and spent Thursday evenings at the library while my Dad went to a local church so he could get some free dinners to bring home for everybody. On one of those early days of having a library card, I hung out in the fairy tales section of the library and found "The Complete Grimms' Fairy Tales," which was the Margaret Hunt translation. I flipped to Cinderella and read it for the first time and I was like, "That was so cool! I want my brother to hear this version of the story!" So I went and checked it out and brought it home. Literally the very next day I looked in my childhood Grimms' Fairy Tales book for some reason I can't remember (I think I was comparing translations of one of the tales), and, while flipping, came across some familiar text, and I was like, "Wait, what? This story was never in here before. I swear." I flipped to the title of the story and realized my foolishness. Lucy Crane left the title and character name untranslated, and if I hadn't skipped over the uninteresting title of "Aschenputtel," I would have read the story years before the event in question. I'd had a copy of it all along.
There were definitely a few dating red flags with the prince.
1:35 is when the story starts!
