    Something to note. The wet condition removes invisibility. So create water will always remove invisibility while Faerie fire only sometimes does. Create Water also has a free cast version currently in the game. So unless you need the advantage, create water is just a superior choice. And Create water has other benefits.

    My favorite lore accurate build for Jaheira (she was a fighter/druid multiclass in the old games):
    Start with Fighter 5 and then Spore Druid 7
    You have CON save proficiency, heavy armor proficiency, Two weapon fighting, action surge, and extra attack from fighter levels. From 7 spore druid levels you will have spell slots up to level 4 (which is more than enough for her tbh).
    SHe has a special blade (Sylvan Scimitar) which uses Wisdom for attack rolls so you can dump her STR and build her like a normal tanky druid with 19 Wisdom .
    In Act 3 if you go to her secret basement you will find her signature weapon Belm and Khalid's Amulet. Khalid's Amulet is a special item which gives +1 to WIS (bringing it upto 20) and also prevents Jaheira from being cursed (only works on her).
    Now you can put Belm in the offhand. Belm gives you access to "perfectly balanced strike" which lets you make a melee weapon attack with your main hand weapon (does not have to be Belm) with a BONUS ACTION. So you can make THREE melee attacks per turn, each of which have the symbiotic entity bonus to damage. Also, remember ALL of this is coming from her WIS stat!
    You have access to whatever druid spells you like for CC and summons as well (albeit only upto level 4)!

      For the main hand I like torch of revocation as with shillelagh you can use wisdom for attack and damage roll and increase the damage roll to 1d8 (highest for light one handed weapon). It has 1d4 fire and 1d4 necrotic bonus damage too.
      The problem, it’s just not cool swinging torch around and shillelagh lasts for 10 turns. For the latter tbh I use a mod to make shillelagh last until long rest. It does not make sense for it to not lasts until long rest while pact of the blade does. It’s more QoL imo

  • @justinr291
    @justinr291 6 месяцев назад +7

    Fun fact. False life and Bloodthirst Elixir's temporary HP also regenerate Spore Warden Temp HP... and 'Horns of the Berserker' will add the 2 necrotic damage as long as you have temporary HP even if your regular HP is max since over health seems to count as "not at full health".

    I would say it's better to use the spore druid armor once you get to act 3, since it gives haste spores as bonus action, haste all summons and just go ham, that way one don't gotta worry about getting haste from other sources and get lethargic either, one of the most useful armor in the game imo. 👍🏻

    Its fun to see all of the flavors of spores druid multiclasses. Im currently playing spores 7/fighter 5 with archery fighting style, gloves of dex, and sharpshooter because unlike in dnd, symbiotic damage works on ranged attacks and with heavy armor and range its really easy to protect the temp hp.
    With battlemaster, you can go a warlock-esq playstyle of dropping a powerful ground cc (sleet storm often, with spikes from summon) and then push them back into it with maneuvers
    Playing with a warlock party memeber is overkill silly ground cc with hunger of hadar for advantage on the sharpshooter attacks in an unleaveable sleet+spike+hadar cc zone

    I really appreciate your videos - you have such a clear-eyed view of strategy and articulate it so well.
    Some of your observations seem so punchy and universal, like your guideline about ‘denying opponents relevant actions’ ‘the only enemy hit point that matters is the last one’ and your advice to prioritize effects that ‘just work’ rather than requiring multiple lucky rolls to apply - I’m led to ask, do these Big Ideas come from anywhere I could read, have you ever put these in a video before, or would you consider doing so?
    I think a one-stop link to share these fundamental insights would be valuable.

      the big probwith paladin is that, charisma is important to them, it would be better to go cleric instead. as you can build them for alot of synergy. for paladins, i think going warlock and going full on charisma feels better, something like 4 warlock/8paladin gives eldritch blast for long range, but also let you get 3 feats. while taking advantage of most of what paladins can offer.
      it works great for both a support/tank with sword and board, or a 2-hander for pure melee damage(with the fall back to EB when needed).

    Nice video. I would just like to point out that any item that gives temporary hit points will replenish your temporary hit point instead of overwriting them on spore druids not just those boots. Thanks! The reason I don't usually do this is twofold: one, it's a lot of extra work, and two, people don't watch it. When I've tried including gameplay sections in the past, viewership for those segments has plummeted. When you think about it, that makes sense - by including gameplay, I'm putting myself into competition with the hundreds of thousands of other gameplay videos out there, many produced by professional studios with entire production teams behind the editing, scripting, and filming (and production lead times of weeks, rather than daily videos like I do). On the other hand, when it comes to build knowledge I'm one of the best out there, so that's something people can't easily find elsewhere.

    This is a masterclass video in synergy!!! Just wondering where 1 Monk/1 fighter with TWF and so dual wielding two torches would be highest damage early on using what you say with torches? The ability point spread would be similar to this vid as dex would be your attack stat and improve AC along with Wis. You'd then have two weapon attacks doing the same damage as shown in this vid at lvl 2? You then build into Druid and so you then have 2 weapons as above but the added 1-6 necrotic damage when you hit lvl 4 with 2 lvls of Druid added. So you'd be doing 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 3 x2 haha That's a possible max of 42 damage at lvl 4?!!!

If not, it might be better to take one of the other 3 domains that grant heavy armor: Nature, Tempest, and War. Of those three Tempest and War domain have the best features IMO.

    I'm curious

    • @Cephalopocalypse
      @Cephalopocalypse  6 месяцев назад +1

      I think Raphael will definitely be the hardest fight, since his pure aoe damage ignores a lot of your core tricks. The easiest way (as always) is to oneshot him with barrels or block him off from the door so you can clear the pillars. Barring that cheese (though I'd argue some cheese is okay for a solo honour run), your best bet imo is to focus on controlling him with field effects/walls while your summons kill the pillars, then chip him down.

    Hey, is there any way to fit Alert feat into this, as well as other of your builds? I recall you mentioned somewhere that it's one of the best ones, and since I used it once, it's getting really hard to go back to playing without it. I know 2 stat points are important, but I just can't see how is it more important than doing a full turn of everyone before enemy has a chance to do anything pretty much on every fight. That's like 50% fights nearly done before they begin and harder ones lack key enemies by the time they get a chance to react. Without Alert it just feels... meh.
    TLDR: Is it a viable way to play to just go with Alert on level 4 and 2 less stat all the way for most characters?

    Unfortunately Sanctuary has a little use in Katheric end. During the Myrkul fight, the mind flyer blasts me and I loose concentration and the rest is history om honour mode. It is easy to loose Sanctuary concentration on many "surface spells", fire, acid, some blasts or push, and the enemy kills me easily after. Unless someone plays whole game then we can say the combo is great. Otherwise it is just an another interesting idea. Thanks

    so the game is very poorly made. you cant say "if you dont like cheese..." the entire game is pact with exploits which make up 100% of the honor mode solo or not builds because they basically made the game half 5e and half dos 2 which does not work together...then instead of spending time trying to get it to work together even a little, they spent years putting empty containers and alternative genitals into the game

      Shitting on BG3 by using genitals or sex is an old insult and not any more intelligent or true no matter how many times you say it lmao. Also how is it a sign that a game is poorly made if you're able to cleverly use existing game mechanics (no bugs) to make the game easy? You're finding creative solutions using the tools the devs put into the game which is just... strategy.
      Also, judging how hard BG3 is based on a small minority of ppl who do solo honor mode runs is stupid. For the average player that doesn't know or doesn't want to use cheese the game can be way harder

      @@destinygalearies7382 you talk like someone who has no clue how to read or comprehend... when a game is poorly made and a stacks with b and c even though a is not meant to stack with b and c, it is NOT clever use of game mechanics to use that. that is bad programming from a lazy pos company known for being lazy and bad. you can also say its old to bring up something that has stayed true about the game since it opened up to pre orders being allowed to start playing early but that proves the nearly unfathomable lack of intellect on your part to fail to understand such a basic concept as "massive flaw in game" + "fuck fixing the massive flaw lets add more cosmetics because our player base is stupid af" resulting in a bad game being producted...for example when i click to open a chest right in front of me after searching the 300 empty containers in a 50ft radius and finding almost exclusively rotten fruit because someone with a severe mental disorder has been doing that for larians last 3 games...and my character instead of opening the chest and looting ..has to run around the outside of the building, climb up onto the roof, descent down a vine, run back down the stairs to the back side of the chest where the hinges are and then looting it ...that is a flaw. the fact that it is probably 25-35% of actual lootables in the game means shit programming. the fact that an item can be 1mm irl in front of my character and "its out of reach" so i cant loot but if i take the throw action suddenly it isnt out of reach anymore...shit programming. the fact that several npc interactions have your party members interjecting their opinions about a choice you should make...followed by them disapproving of you making the choice they literally just told you to make...shit programming. YOUR inability to understand basics does not mean the game isnt shit. it means that YOUR idea of quality comes from what kotaku or pc gamer or ign tells you to think
