I'm on a Jimmy Chin Video Marathon. I didn't think the level of respect could go any higher when it was already at the top. How he's able to direct any fear and nervousness into excitement and passion is something I always try to do when I'm climbing or even entering into a job interview. lol I teared up a little during this video just imagining the 1% of his avalanche experience and happy/thankful he's still alive, well, and still passionate to continue his work. "It's not a sense of immortality, rather no sense of mortality." Beautifully put.

I was fortunate enough to meet Jimmy once, up on the trail to Everest. What an amazing individual, how many people have walked away from an avalanche? Much happier to see him tell this story than to hear someone else telling it.

A bit surprised why he and the others were not geared with air bag ruckshacks, they have been known to save lives in avalanches. Back country boarders and free skiers do use them quite often. He is so lucky to be alive but very nice that he is, seems like a very nice guy!!

How utterly amazing to even imagine what that experience would feel like to endure. It looked like you got into agreement (no choice no problem) with the situation, and that was the moment you gained control of your survival. So glad you survived the fall and now you are able to pass your experience of such a harrowing ordeal to us. whew!!
