Althought some people think you're only right if you share theirs (generally speaking don't take it personal). Me not liking him (and I will concede to that) and not respecting his work are two very different things. There are tons of musicians I don't like yet I do respect their work. It's called personal taste. And there is no thing as being "a real fan". You either are or you're not. I'm a Maiden fan since 1986, I bought all of their albums no matter who was playing guitar or who was singing. I spent a lot of cash over the decades on merch. There is no band on this planet I've seen live more often, with or without Gers. I think that qualifies as being a fan. But more than once I've witnessed how he messed up plays or missed his entrance because of his on stage antics. His studio work is a different thing alltogether. Like I said, everyone has an opinion about things. This is mine.
