Thank you so much! I was excited when CSP added bezier curves, but they work a little different than in AI and I never got comfortable with them. Now I can!
This earned a new sub :) very clear as to each function and key use at the time, informative without too much extra, and a solid overall guide. Thanks for the help!
I've been using CSP for over a year and had never bothered to explore bezier curves. They look super useful so I'm kicking myself haha, thank you for the tutorial!
Very informative, thanks! I just wish they'd gone a little bit further and allowed the completed curve to end up as a selection, but I guess you can always use the paint bucket tool or just select a filled shape. Still, it is an extra step. Would have been good to include curves in the Polygon Lasso tool - eg, line-to-line but hold for curve.
I have a hard time drawing super smooth lines, ive always sketched lines out, even in Zbrush i gotta use lazy mouse, lazy nezumi, ect. But this way of doing it reminds me a lot of working with verts and the like in blender, or other 3D software. I like this WAY more!
Awesome. I'm just learning Clip Studio Paint and your videos are SOOOOOOOoooooo helpful. Most RUclips subscription emails go to junk or a spam folder but yours? I stop whatever I'm doing to watch! ;-) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THESE!
Glad it was helpful! I'm using the curves layer to create my linework (instead of normal layer or a normal layer on multiply). It's not for all styles, but it lets me create linework at a tint of whatever color is underneath. So i get the benefit of various colored linework, slightly darker (or lighter, if you lighten the curve) than the colors beneath, using one adjustable layer. The advantage is that, if i change the shirt from red to blue, my linework automatically shifts to whatever the flats color is, vs. having to recolor the lines just because I recolored the shirt.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Do you know why there are no vector handles when you draw using the brush tool in a vector layer? I think its very misterious that you can see and control the vector points, but not the handles.
This tool can drive you utterly insane! Maybe you 'd like to do a slower turorial explaining when to click and when to double click. Also some examples of what can go wrong.
Wow, I am floored! Information on the bezier tool was was harder to find than it needed to be and your video covered everything, thank you!!!

Cant believe I hadn't seen this tutorial before now. This is *perfect* for the workflow I've been developing
Never knew this existed, thank you so much! I might try this for some animations
Hope it helps your workflow!
VERY helpful! Thanks Reuben!

Yes I agree. I've put several feature requests in for these QOL details. They are a surprisingly small team.

great job!!
You save my life!!! Thank you so much!!!
glad it came at the right moment!
Thanks for clear instructions !!

haha thanks so much for the great feedback! Best wishes on your projects!
amazing. thank you!
I love this tool! I didn't know about the adjustments though. Thanks :) What were you doing with the curves layer? Could you explain?

@@ReubenLara Very cool, thanks for sharing all of this!!

go to your brush sub tool detail then to correction post correction and check bezier curve ,
and you can use simplify tool and check convert curve
@@fatehero4750 Wow! That really worked! Thank you so much! You are a true hero! 🤩
@@tatedinizbr no problem i'm glad it helped , i just play with every setting and found it ,it's my first mouth with csp so i just keep exploring it
on a vector layer is there anyway to continue an open bezier curve you drew?
yes. click the last point, be fearless, and keep going.

OK thanks for the feedback!
Reuben, is there a way to control the SIZE of the Bezier handles? I find that it can be confusing trying to place handles over a line drawing.
Hey Kevin, not that i know of. Would be nice though! Might be a good suggestion to send in to Celsys, I know they rely a lot on feedback from users.
I hate the bezier curve. One misclick and you have to start it all over.
